My family went on the two hour gold panning tour with Digger and we had a fantastic time! Digger was personable, friendly and knowledgeable.
The boys are 6 and 7yr old and they loved it. It was educational, we learned about the local flora and fauna and stopped to look at the all the plants and cacti. We learned about all the local lore and history. We panned for gold and found garnets, fools gold and real flakes of gold. The little guys were pretty stoked.
If you are looking for 4×4 off road the gold panning tour is not the tour you. If you want to learn how to pan for gold this is the right tour!
The old west town of Goldfield is pretty cool. Rebuilt based on pics of the old gold town with shops and things to do. The saloon has super good Wisconsin cheese nuggets. Tasted great with ice cold beer.

We took the two hour jeep tour and had a blast. It is very informative and our guide, Dusty, truly knew a lot about the area and cared about our comfort. I would definitely bring my out of town guests again.

If your in the area it is a must do if you want the history behind the land and the superstitious mountains. When you take the tour it takes you to a place out in nature that is breathtaking. Thanks Marc aka angel eyes

Fantastic part of our vacation to Arizona. An old but busy town where you can take a train ride, ride a zip line, shop or take a Jeep tour out to the dry riverbed near an old mine to pan for gold. The tour guides, Dusty Bottom and Julie, showed our group where the most logical place to locate gold and how to pan for gold using dry sifting. They were very knowledgeable and answered all questions presented to them. Our group contained young boys, young parents, and older people (me) and all enjoyed our two hours out panning for gold. On the ride to the riverbed they gave us folklore and factual information about the area. My husband and granddaughter stayed back in town and enjoyed themselves as much as my daughter and I did panning. I can’t wait to come back to Apache Junction. Thank you for making our vacation a great one!

THe trail was awesome… I didnt find it scary at all… after being warned so many times… having been on shelf road and phantom canyon in CO. this was cake. Bumpy is all. Gorgeous views.

We did the three hour tour and it was awesome. Our guide and driver, Rex was so personable and informative. He told us lots of history about the area and also the plant life and some geology. We opted for the two hour tour which was perfect. I would skip the extra hour for the three hour tour you go down a steep unpaved road. The ride is full of twists and turns and at times is unpaved. We did stop at a look out point for photos and some additional info on the plants, etc.
I would recommend this trip. It was well worth it.

Waste of money. The tours were nondescript and the tour guide works for tips and but doesn’t act like it. The tours in Sedona are far superior. I guess this place figures it’s the only gig in town so they’ll charge what they want and not care. Well, bye.
