I had read some mixed reviews on Google for Aero Propane aka Family Propane. Mostly staff and how the customer service was lacking. I have two 22 gallon tanks for my spa that I needed filled. I called them and was told I would have to bring them to the store to be «recertified» and Inspected, the delivery driver could not do this. I understood. I was told by the«Gal» there(who is a little rough around the edges) that the cylinders would need to be in the back of an open bed pick up, standing up and secured. No problem! So, I brought the tanks to Family Propane, The Gal, who’s name escapes me I’m sorry, came out and looked at the tanks and tapped on them a couple of times and told me she couldn’t inspect them unless the tanks were empty. One of my tanks was nearly full the other was nearly empty. I asked her why and she told me they had to have«their» gas in them(Family Propane) we went back and forth a bit then she reluctantly agreed to inspect them and fill them for me. Might I say she made it clear that she was not happy about this and not something they normally do but she did it anyway. At first I was a little miffed about her over all way of being but in the end I couldn’t be more happy with how efficient she was at the inspection and filling of these tanks. She flung these bottles around like they were made of plastic, she was filling my tanks and two other customers tanks at the same time. I have learned over time that sometimes good customer service may not appear cozy and friendly all the time, in this case. This lady did a great job, took care of me and at least four other customers at the same time and it was close to closing. I say hats off to her for going the extra mile. Family Propane has earned my business.

Have you ever ordered propane and had it delivered to your RV? We did. We were told delivery would occur some time between 8:00 and 5:00 the following day. Don’t you just hate that? They expect YOU to sit and wait for THEM even though the office surely knows a much better estimate since they put out the route schedule. Since the scheduler wasn’t too interested in a before arrival call to be sure we would be at the motorhome, I just told them if we were here, we’d be here. And, if we’re not, we’re not. We were lucky or maybe they were lucky because they made a sale. We were at the motorhome when the Aero Propane truck showed up. Our bill for the propane … $ 68 for 13.3 gallons or about $ 5.11 per gallon after everything was finished and the extra delivery fee was added — about double what we normally pay. Our personal opinion is that Aero Propane is socking it to the snowbirds in Arizona. Service was fine but the fee was out of line with propane delivered elsewhere.
