I have been going to Van’s Automotive for many years and have always had good experiences there. Van is very honest and has very competitive prices. I recommend him to everybody who asks me who I go to for auto repair. He also does fluid changes for regular maintenance.

Mr. Hung Van is the best!!! My 2001 Toyota Camry (with over 222,000 miles) could not pass the Smog Test. Not only did Mr. Van fix the problem, he replaced my rear light, replaced the thermostat and fixed my air conditioning! All for under $ 200.00!!! I couldn’t find a ride to pick up my car and he drove to my house!!! Mr. Van is an expert at what he does; he is fair, honest, and kind and I could not recommend a better mechanic!!! I also recommend the Toyota Camry! 220,000+ miles and still running? Right?

Not at all satisfied with work. Problem still exists in the car. Paid almost $ 600 and problem still there.

Van provides the type of customer experience that you usually only hear your grandparents talk about. He is a genuinely kind and honest man, who works hard and fast. I needed some basic work done on my car and decided to give him a try after reading his other reviews on here. I am now a customer for life and will do everything I can to make sure other people are too.

I took my 2011 Altima here and got some affordable brake re-​surfacing completed by Van; he was extremely helpful and fair… I then took my 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo and got the process going for me to get it street legal again. He is located at an unconventional location but his guidance and affordability make up for the lack of luxury of his shop! =)

First visit to Van.
Van was terrific! I took in my 2011 Altima because it had 55,000 miles and I thought it was time to get new brakes. Van was very honest and told me that I could wait another 5,000 miles to get them done. I decided to get them completed now rather than waiting.
The pricing was very fair and I received a detailed bill of everything he did.
The brakes work fantastic.
I will be back!

I can’t say enough about Van. I used to see him when he worked at Midas, and was happy that he opened his own shop. So convenient for me because he’s close to my work, but beyond that, he is trustworthy and will not cheat you. You can’t beat his prices, or the time it takes for him to repair your vehicle. I literally drove my car straight there once when I had an unexpected issue and his employee came right out to try to fix it on the spot! I have almost 9 years experience working in local dealerships and I would not take my vehicle anywhere else.

Great service and pricing. I used Unilocal to find Van’s Automotive to get a new catalytic converter. I showed up without an appointment on a Saturday, he explained everything to me, gave me a quote, and he was done in about an hour. Awesome experience with a very nice guy. I highly recommend Van’s Automotive.

We moved to Concord and still take the time to drive our vehicles to Vans. He has always beat everyone else’s prices and is a heck of a nice guy. I highly recommend this unicorn of a mechanics shop.

I had written a positive review a few months back and noticed it is no longer posted… not too happy that it is gone.
I had work done on my 05 Chevy Trailblazer… Winter Chevrolet told me the charge would be $ 1100, D&K quoted me about $ 800, and that was over the phone… they didn’t even ask to look at my vehicle and just went by Winters Chevrolets word.
Van was recommended to me by good friends. I took my vehicle to Van and was shocked that Van actually lifted the hood and inspected my vehicle… rather than plug into the computer and run a diagnostic. You don’t see many actually looking under the hood. I was impressed. Van was able to do the work for much less. He took the time to explain what was needed and took care of the issues.
I will say my vehicle is running just like it was when I first purchased it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Van is a most competent mechanic. He used to work for Midas in Antioch for many years until his customers prevailed upon him to open his own shop. Anyone who knows Van knows that he is as honest as the day is long and he continues his practice of good customer satisfaction and competent work at his own shop. I’m not a close friend of his nor are we related but I trust him with my cars.
