History

Established in 1998.

Burt Milburn assumed ownership of his father’s flooring business, changed the name, and began operating the revised business on January 1, 1998.

His father had been in the flooring business for 30 years before he retired. During the final few years he taught Burt a lot about the flooring business. Burt had been working as a safety engineer and has made use of that knowlege in solving and/​or preventing many flooring problems.

Burt has extensive education and work experience in many aspects of environmental health and safety. He retired from being a Registered Professional Engineer with a specialty of safety engineering. Slips, trips, and falls are the most common source of injuries in homes and at job sites. The types of flooring materials on a floor can have a major influence on whether accidents occur. Hence, Burt’s safety experience helps him prevent and/​or solve flooring safety issures. His previous work also enables him to assess the impacts of various types of lighting conditions. He has been the owner/​manager ever since 1998.
