The Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center is a full-​service retreat, leadership, and conferencing center. We offer a full service dining facility, multiple indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, and can accommodate up to 290 overnight guests. The Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor center features a number of different activity choices such as climbing, sailing, marksmanship, lots of sports, team building, water sports, and more. We welcome the opportunity host your future company picnic, team building event, leadership or board conference, church or volunteer group retreat, family reunion, birthday party, wedding, or anything in between.

History

Established in 1998.

The Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center was established in 1998. At the time, the facility included just the airnasium, central lawn, central pavilion, equestrian center, and the Alpine Tower. Each year the Outdoor Center has seen growth in guests, facilities and programs. The outdoor center gradually changed from a seasonal facility to a year round conference and retreat center operation. In the summer of 2005, the original master plan was complete, and the question became «what’s next?»

Overnight retreats became possible with the completion of the initial building campaign completed in 2008. Fifteen cabins, a beautiful dining lodge, and many other camp improvements were built to help better serve our guests year round. In 2014 the Joe C. Davis Outdoor Center has added a fully-​accessible double zip-​line, cedar amphitheatre, and fully renovated the Mt. Widji climbing tower.
