Great selection! Packed floor to ceiling with costumes, masks and lots of accessories! If you are looking for it they probably have it!

Great store to find all the fun costume and fun accessories/​gag gifts. Every time we go in, it’s at least a half-​hour of browsing.
HUGE costume selection, in all sizes (yes, even if you’re carrying a few extra pounds.)
I just wish they didn’t have the evil clown stuff…

I love this Halloween store. They not only have incredibly useful and friendly staff but I’m pretty sure they have anything you need for Halloween, birthday parties, gags, etc. I live downtown Chicago so most of the stores I go to are out of everything or have the standard, cheap-​looking costumes but not JJ Blinkers; they have costumes I’ve never seen before. Even their makeup selection is great (Ben Nye, Mehron, etc).
I’ll be back for sure. This is a hidden gem.

Very friendly, helpful staff and definitely a better feel than stepping in to a chain store!
Lived in the area all my life, but my first time there. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for costumes to buy or rent, or gifts. Warning: Staff is silly and will probably make you smile :)

GHOSTS IN ANTIOCH
I love local costume shops and JJ Blinkers does not disappoint. Recently we were looking for a cave girl costume for our little one. Our little one loves the movie, The Croods and there was a character in there called Eve. So we looked all over and the costume does not exist. You can find a sexy woman cave person costume for adults but for kids it does not exist. That is why I love Disney they get marketing and make costumes for all of there characters. Hint: Croods!!!
Now you are probably expecting me to say we found the cave girl costume here. No we did not. Instead we moved our little one into a scary red riding hood. She told us two days later she wanted to be a zombie so I may be coming back here for face makeup. I told her she could be a Zombie Red Riding Hood. Now that is a TV show I would watch.
The staff here was great and very helpful. They also set the spooky mood by having scary music playing in the background. I love it and wish I had a soundtrack like that for all the halloween parties I don’t throw. I am sure that they sell it on CD here but I did not ask. Our sales guy who was dressed as a giant piece of bacon… in fact, let’s call him Mr Bacon let our little one try on the costume. He carefully opened the package so we could see what it looked like and have the little one try it on. She loved it and our Halloween Costume Shopping is done and we are early too.
There is a huge selection of costumes here and the best part is that they have them year round. So you can get your costume early and find something unique too, as opposed to what those fly by night costume shops that pop up in abandoned store fronts.
This location also has two front doors. One on Main Street and one in the back by all of the free parking spots. I love having options. Main Street can get filled up, so parking in the back is the best option plus with the back front door you do not have to walk around the block to get into the store.
This store is also great for birthdays. You can get balloons and decorations for your next big bash. They also have all of the over the hill novelty stuff too. So if you’re turning 40, 50 or 60 this place is perfect. It’s a great place to get the perfect over the hill gag gift.
There is also a resident magician here too. I would call to find out the magicians schedule because they are not always in the store. The magician will show and sell you tricks, so that you can amaze your friends. Magic is fun but it’s not real (opps spoiler alert). Magic sure looks cool when you are doing it though.
So if you are in the market for a costume then you must check out this place. Also check out the local paper for a $ 5 off of $ 25 purchase coupon. Hey saving 5 bucks is a great deal.

Amazing how much stuff they can put into such a small place. I bought a clown costume and they even taught me how to make balloon animals.

This place was a hoot! Happened upon the store while shopping in Antioch’s main street. It’s like a little joke shop /​costume store. They have a wide assortment of gag-​gifts, and silly items, as well as a vast array of costumes and anything and everything that would go with costumes.
Fun place! Will definitely keep them in mind for future costume needs.

I was disappointed with this place. I called before going there and specifically asked if they had a specific costume in stock — they told me they did. When I got there they said they did not carry the costume but had something similar — WTF?! Since I didn’t want to waste my 30minute drive to Antioch I looked through the entire store. The good news is that they have everything you need for any costume/​theme party that comes your way. The bad news is that they are EXPENSIVE for what they offer. I ended up changing my costume by coming up with something on my own, but I was disappointed with this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place because there are better and cheaper places out there.

I Love this store. We go every year for our halloween needs. And just about any other theme party that be going on or gag gift you may need. It is so much fun to spend an hour in there looking at everything. THen you can stop and visit other stores on thast little strip too. Alot of fun in here!!!
