Go-Go Yoh-Go

This place isn’t there anymore. I was searching for places that sell boba drinks around Antioch and I came across this one and decided to check it out since Unilocal said it was open. When I went there I realized that this shop was replaced by another froyo company that doesn’t sell boba drinks. Only self-​serve froyo. I was disappointed because I wanted to try Go-​go Yoh-​go. So since I’ve never tried it I thought it would b fair to give it an A-​ok rating. But i thought I should warn you guys that its not longer at this address.

Best frozen yogurt in Antioch and we tried them all. Not self-​serve, but always feels like they’re extremely generous with the toppings. They have a frequent buyer card and we filled out many coming here and playing Yahtzee (which they have along with many other games.) Recommended.

Why the TWO– STAR you ask?
The atmosphere was good, comfy, and it is a good hang-​out spot.
I agree with the comments from the store reviews posted on their wall, that they do have great service. The guy at the counter helping me was so pleasant, and helpful, even though I was wanting to walk out of there, BECAUSE OF THE EXPENSIVE MENU, his pleasant attitude made me change my mind.
I ordered a TARO Slushie with boba, which is my fave, and I usually order. Paid for it, and when I got the drink, I was very dissatisfied with the taste. It was very bland… although the boba pearl was good, it had a nice texture to it, I was very disappointed about the drink itself. It was a waste of money. :(

Tart original was just as good as Pinkberry. I also liked the fruit, though you have to pay almost a dollar per topping… anyway, I got blackberries and they were LARGE, PLUMP, WHOLE berries so I didnt mind paying for that.
The small was almost $ 4 with the single fruit topping. A bit over priced for the suburbs, but it was delicious.

I bought a piece of their mint-​pie over a month ago & it was pretty good.
A couple of days ago I got a green tea boba & it was good. Can’t say any much else other than I want to buy more into their cakes & try out other pieces of pie & stuff.

Another sweltering hot Saturday evening, and here I am again at Go-​Go.
But instead of having fro-​yo, I wanted to get something different. Perhaps something that will up the rating for this place because I really want to become a fan. Yes. I’m not the cutthroat bitter Unilocaler who’s looking for the next one star business to write about simply to feed my inner angst. Nosiree.
Instead of my usual strawberry with mochi (I get that at every froyo place I go), I got a milk boba tea with taro. It was surprisingly yummy! I actually loved it. It wasn’t overly sweet or creamy. The tapioca pearls weren’t too gummy. Upped a star right there for being one of the few places in Antioch that sell a decent boba tea. The word boba is rarely used in Antioch anyways.
This review is dedicated to my homegirl Chang L. Of all people, she would greatly appreciate a good taro milk boba tea!

I like them alot. Good friendly service. Good yogurt. Toppings a little on the skimpy side so I usually order two, one in the middle one on top. Kids loves it.

I love this place and go there once a week! Very overpriced however. The staff are all extremely friendly. I really hope they can survive the economic downturn! They are the only good yogurt place around!

This place was a huge disappointment. I am fairly new to the area and decided to try to find some froyo on this warm summer night. I decided to try this place due to the Unilocal reviews. I first tried a piece of the frozen yogurt pie– it was absolutely disgusting. There is no other way of describing it. It was completely frozen through and had that «been-​sitting-​in-​the-​freezer for 10 years taste. I shudder to remember the disgust. I had two bites and couldn’t handle anymore. Then, after throwing the pie away, I decided to try the froyo. It was average at best. I feel that I have been spoiled by the deliciousness of places like Harmony in San Carlos. On top of the grossness of it– it was also fairly expensive. $ 2.35 for a 5 oz children’s size of chocolate and the pie was $ 3. Considering the quality– it is expensive. I would gladly pay double to have some Harmony. I plan to try Bliss in Dublin– and I hope to be able to find a place on the East Bay that is even remotely similar to Harmony. Blah– now I hope to find something to take this disgusting taste out of my mouth.

go go yoh-go’s location looks like the dmz between old antioch near hwy 4 and the new antioch with all the new developments near the new hwy 4 bypass crossing lone tree way. this place is absolutely dead everytime i pass here.
go go has a large seating area with a beige décor. aluminum chairs outside store. they also sell smoothies, teas, coffees…

Absolutely great FroYo spot. It is a hidden gem out in Antioch with excellent FroYo and really friendly service. The décor is modern, but with a cool, relaxing feeling that, while odd to some, seems very welcoming to me. It is perfect to hit up after a dat at Contra Loma or at the Antioch Water Park. Check it out, you won’t regret it.

Still OK actually, come to find out, last I went, in order to get your FREE YOGURT after you get your stamps all filled on your little card, you had to order toppings on your yogurts prior and it had to be a certain size .Give me a break, this place is way too pricey for what you get and especially for being in Antioch.

Ohhh… to be a pre-​teen again so I can hang out here after school with friends and spend all my money on vanilla froyo with mochi and banana topping. This place is too cute and free wifi to boot! They also have a nice view overlooking the Antioch Reservoir. The service was very friendly and I’ll be coming back for more froyo!

Came here during a lunch break from HELL (aka Western Career College).
Starbucks was CLOSED for some odd reason, so I found myself in this place. And boy! Was I happy!
The coffee was delish, and I even got some yoghurt too! And it was sooooo yummy! And I loved the piano there, which yes, I banged on (okay I busted out with ‘Moonlight Sonata…’).
This place was super cute, and I will so go back again.

This place would get five stars, except is sooo expensive! It’s usually just me and my boyfriend, and we always end up spending 10 bucks plus for just the two of us, but it’s a delicious cool treat when it’s 110 degrees out here.
The décor is kind of silly. Looks like the inside of a Hong Kong fast food chain. There’s a piano with sheet music. It’s a great place for kids to hang out.
However I cringe thinking about how much a family of five would spend here.

oh good god– i need an intervention.
everyday, i wake up with the shakes, sheets drenched, appendages tight, and limbs cracking after seemingly infinite dreams of a heaping swirly smooth goodness of tart fro yo topped with fruity strawberries, crunchy granola and almond slivers eat away at my willpower.
oh wait, it’s frozen yogurt! there’s nothing to feel guilty about later! no eater’s remorse, no forgoing dinner just because i went to TOWN at go-​go yoh-​go! yep, i can have my cake and eat it, too. (insert obnoxious audible gesture here)
to be fair, i’ve always preferred fro yo instead of ice cream, for health benefits as well as my general taste. i’m so pro probiotic, especially after this women’s health seminar i went to for work.
all of GGYG’s frozen yogurt is non-​fat. they also have a chocolate one that has no sugar added. at about 100 calories per 4 oz., you really don’t have to beat yourself up for indulging. plus, yogurt really helps your total body, from skin to colon, improved mineral absorption to lowering cholesterol, increased immune function to lowering blood pressure, to name a few benefits.
the layout is small and cute– quite an aberration in these parts, i must say. there’s an upright piano, a couch and coffee table, and a throng of colorful pod-​like bar stools married with steel circular high tables. the place is always clean and the service is awesome.
it’s a little pricey compared to other fro yo places (note: i miss self-​serve ala carte fro yo places!) but for some reason their texture is smoother with a cleaner aftertaste. i even prefer their froyo over pinkberry. gasp– LA friends, be merciful…
bring the kids if you have any. yes, even the emo weirdo one. or if you don’t have kids, bring your own inner one (s) and your friends’ one (s), too! they also have free wifi and is in an easily accessible location, so it would be perfect for a meeting spot.

I love their smoothies. The berry and the peach smoothie is the best I’ve ever had. I like Jamba Juice but Go-​Go Yoh blows them out of the water! It’s a lot more flavor. This is a must try!

I LLLOVE this place! The best place to stop after the kids get out of school or coming back from an outing for a snack. The people are really nice too. I always forget they have FREE wifi, I could hang out and do some work if I remember to bring my computer. Definite bonus points, not many free wifi places out here!
