Cindy Nails

35 dollars for a regular pedicure add on paraffin and some «special» treatment, slathered on cheap salt and oil. I could do a better job myself, but wanted to be pampered. Didn’t feel pampered, but no wait early in the morning, and at least the staff wasn’t chatting loudly over the awful music. One star, because i saw that my toenail was not filed straight, pointedit it, and the guy acted like there was nothing wrong. Then, i noticed the racing stripe effect, i.e. bare toenail sides. Lazy, but that is what I get when I don’t do it myself.

I went in for a mani pedi in preparation for my mother in laws funeral which was the next day. My mom and I went in together. We both had a manicure and a pedicure on the 27^th of April at 5 pm. The young lady who did my manicure nicked my finger as she was removing my cuticle. Later that evening my finger became swollen and infected. I have to go have surgery to remove the inflammation in my finger. I went to the shop to speak to the manager Randy about the cleanliness of his equipment. He was not there. I am waiting to see what his response will be to this situation. I will also file a complaint with the State Board. This by far is the most horrible experience I have ever had.

I go to Cindy’s first because it is close to my house. however I continued to go because I love them. Randy is funny and very kind As long as you don’t come with a lot of drama. I love that about him. I have watched him decline a patron because they were so negative. If you don’t make an appoint you may have to wait because your a walk in. That’s with any salon. I witnessed an incident where a women who was a walk-​in got angry because she had to wait about an hour. She got on her phone and started talking «mess» about having to wait so long, she was loud so everyone including Randy could hear, then she got off the phone (she actually was next) and sat in the chair to get her nails done, and Randy said no, he was not going to deal with her negativity. Well that was drama and he handled his business!
I go to Michael for my nails and Danny for my wax and pedicure. I call and get an appoint if I can’t make it to the shop early. I always have a great time talking to Randy (the owner) and all his staff as well as the other clients that come in.
All salons have client drama be it hair or nails. For me it’s about the quality of the work and that’s the bottom line. The staff their takes time with each client and does superior work.

I went here for the first time last night and that will be the last. I don’t know why they even have customers and it seems like there’s always «customers» in there when I pass smh they must like getting shit nails. I kept telling the guy what not to do n what to do n he kept telling me ok good but would still do it smh.
First off I kept asking him to use acetone to take the gel off my nails n he kept telling me ok but continued to file it off my nails. I’ve NEVER been to a nail shop (& I’ve been to many) where they just file it off, that’s damaging to your own nail smfh. Then he nicked me n I started bleeding n tried to brush it off like it was no big deal like wtf?! I would have walked out but I really needed to get my nails done (I broke a nail and being bored I peeled off the polish on my thumb smh) n I didn’t have time to go where I usually go (Buchanan Nails) or anywhere else really. Then bc it wouldn’t stop bleeding he tried to put super glue on it to stop the bleeding!!! I had to almost scream no to him n he acted like I was trippin smfh who tf puts super glue on a cut?! Smfh! So I told him to just get a cotton ball n tape it on it by the time he’s done with my other hand he can come back to it and it should stop.
Now I don’t use acrylic unless I have a broken nail n what not. I like to go with my own natural nails. But bc he filed my nails so much to get the gel off after I kept telling him to use acetone smfh my nails were so thin he had to put acrylic on it smfh. Then he put it on ALL my nails smfh I told him to only put it on 2 of the ones that were really thin n he put it on all of them smfh it was too late to stop him so I was like fuck it ima jus stop this shit was just so frustrating for me I just sat back at that point smh. My nails are sore now which I’ve never felt them like this before. I think it was him from filing them down so damn much smh. I will never go back to this place again even if my nails look like shit n there’s nowhere else open I’ll wait til the next day.

Positively the WORST nail shop ever! Besides the fact that three customers walked out during my two and a half hour visit (yes…2.5 hours!!!) The owner is a short pompous asshole who feels like he is entitled and treats his workers like they are are crap! I witnessed the owner scream the «f» word at a worker over and over and fire him for no reason. The shop was full. of customers and kids and the when I asked the owner ti stop swearing in front of my kid, he has the nerve to get in MY face. He is a horrible example of a human being and I hope this shop closes soon!

NEVER GO THERE!!! Cindy’s nail shop in Antioch is the worst ever! Just wasted four and a half hours of my life. And when I tried to give feedback to the manager Randy he was an absolute ass. They try to charge for services they didn’t provide. I specifically said I didn’t want wax on my feet and they still tried to charge me for a spa pedicure. The guy who did my feet didn’t bother scrubbing my feet as you normally do for a pedicure. And whenever minded im of it as he started massage my feet the scrub my feet rock with a little bit of oil. Going to question it bother massaging my feet as you normally would do for a pedicure. they’re awful

Over charge the price… The owner is not friendly when l ask why the price is charge different

I highly recommend Christina. She’s super attentive to detail, very skilled, and applies elbow grease to get rid of dry skin on my heels and her polishing skills r excellent! On top of that, she’s a joy to chat with. She’s learning to speak English and isn’t afraid to ask questions on how to say something the right way so she can continue to communicate with her customers. I find that to b a great attribute to add to her repertoire :)

Worst place I’ve ever been to have my nails done I was charge $ 13 he didn’t wash my feet he barely cut my nails I had to ask him to file one nail and then he quit horrible horrible horrible. I was talking to a girl in there and she says ask for the manager but I just left and left the money on the counter I’ll never be back. This was a pedicure

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Please read ! I don’t want anyone to go through what I experienced. My service started off on a bad note my nail tech was constantly leaving me to help other people and when I asked a question her response was continuously «I don’t know ask randy» I asked randy what the total for my services would be and he told me 55 dollars. I agreed, when I received my tab it stated 58 dollars, don’t get me wrong 3 dollars is nothing and I totally had the money, but it is frustrating when your told something and the price is changed. I asked the manager randy why the price is different than what he told me, and he proceeded to tell me that he doesn’t have to let customers know if they will be charged more because «this is how it works».i calmly said that I will remember that if I come back but because of the lack of customer service I received I will be paying the 55 dollars as he stated prior to raising the price. When I got to the register to pay the associate threw my receipt and pen at me and said here sign. I was with a young child so I took a deep breath trying my best not to cause a scene. At this point the entire nail salon is silent staring at me. I began to sign the receipt and I hear randy telling a client as he’s doing her nails «it’s only two dollars she just wants to be picky, it’s only two dollars» the room is still silent so he clearly did not care that the whole room could hear him talking about me. I responded to his unprofessionalism by asking him to not speak about me to his clients in a stern solid tone without raising my voice. Randy responded my saying «why you so rude you need to get out» «I’m too professional for you» please readers remember never once did I threaten to not pay but at that point I looked at him and responded «if you would like me to leave prior to paying I can gladly do so.» Randy proceeded to lock me inside of his salon despite the fact that I had never attempted to leave. I brought my 12 year old cousin with me, being with a child I had to think twice about my actions. I remained calm told him to open the door immediately and told him I will never be back at his location. Everyone silently stared as I was publicly mistreated and I got in my car in tears for enduring such an embarrassing degrading situation. In addition my nails were completely crooked, the pedicure stations are extremely dirty, and their policy’s and service are terrible. The only reason why I didn’t call the police was because I knew immediately they would do everything in their power to try to convince the police that I was trying to leave without paying for my service. Failing to mention that I was only disputing 3 dollars. This was the 4^th of July and I didn’t not want my day to be ruined any more than it already was. Report this business call BBB, ANYTHING, this place needs to be out of businesses and closed for good.

Their work isn’t the best. I left with dryer rougher feet than when I came. The lady didn’t even file my toenails.
They tell you one price before you get in the chair even with you expressing everything you need/​want… Saying it back to them, «I want such and such and such and it’s going to be this price correct»? They say yes and then it’s a whole different price a more expensive price when it’s time for you to pay.
I heard and saw one of the employees flirting with the minor uttering «that he will go to jail for messing with her». Totally inappropriate especially in the workplace! She’s a minor! Which he knew because I at I heard him ask her!

I Just received a letter from the board of barbering and cosmetology stating that: «an inspector conducted an inspection of Cindy Nails and issue a citation and fines for the violations found of the Board laws and regulations.“The case was handle as a health and safety case.

The worst! Went there today and now I have 2 cut fingers and had to go somewhere else and have them redone. Randy the owner could not have cared less when I showed him the mess his tech made. I used to go there a few years ago and thought I would try them again… won’t make that mistake twice! Only picked a star because you have to. I would give them a negative 1000 stars if I could.

Kathy is my favorite! !! Awesome skills. I also love Kim, she gives the best pedicures! ! Randy is hilarious! !!

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place i live right down the street so its very convenient for me Randy is absolutely wonderful he always welcomes you in a professional manner. I never make appointments i just do the walk ins and the longest i’ve had to wait is like 15 mins which is okay with me because i have the patients to sit there especially when they do a great job. will be going back.

I over the way Cathy does my eye brows. She takes her time & they always come out perfect.

If you have to walk into a nail salon and wait to be greeted you should walk out I used to love this place but randy the owner became rude! Their customer service is lacking.

DO not go to this place! They never respect your appointment time! They do ok work but waiting over 40 minutes to be seen after you have scheduled your appointment 2 – 3 weeks in advanced is not worth it and the most annoying part of it all is that they will take walk-​ins while you sit there and wait! WTF Really…

I have been a loyal customer, at Cindy Nails, going twice per month for nearly 1 year. Today August 12, 2014 was unbelievable. I signed in and was immediately seated for my pedicure. It was near the end of my pedicure just before applying nail color when I was surrounded by two other employees: a round faced Asian woman appearing to be in her mid forties and a Asian man who looked to be about 50 years old, both of them in an aggressive tone reminded me of the cost for service. I reminded them that I want my toes painted with nail color and my nail fill with shellac color. This was strange to me because I had not asked for the prices. Furthermore I pay for the services after there completed. Anyway, they continued the conversation in their native language and rolled their eyes. All I could think is «where is Randy?» he is always kind and service oriented. As Nam proceeded to apply the nail color a young woman signed in for her eyebrow appt. After waiting a while in the back room, Lee kept working on my daughters fill then told her to come back tomorrow. She was upset as she reminded him of her loyalty. On her way out the door she said, «I’m not coming back fuck ya’ll» Lee, said, «Go fuck yourself» to the angry customer all while performing a full nail set on my daughter’s nails. My daughter and the elder lady sitting next to her where in shock. I was disappointed. This nail salon is known for performing good nail application; however «worker bee» mentality is not good enough. Positive customer engagement, and maintaining healthy customer relationships are important. Professionalism In all business environments is the key. My advice for Randy is to always be present. His employees Lee, Nam, and Lisa do not have business acumen; they only possess the skill to perform nail service. Finally, as I sat and observed the environment while waiting for my shellac fill to be complete; I noticed that the employees did not remind the white customers about their cost for services. I strongly believe that if Randy had been present, Lee would not have told the young Black woman to Go f**k herself! Fortunately I will be searching for a new nail salon for fill/​pedi and eyebrow services.

I had a pedicure for $ 20. Best one I ever had, by Lisa. Randy did ny fill and he does a wonderful job! I will be going back, for sure.
