went in for a root canal the other day, and it was flawless. I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes. No pain throughout the procedure, and no pain in the hours following. What a great experience!

I was referred to Dr. Hornberger by another terrific dentist, Dr. Shirani, as I was in dire need of a root canal procedure to save a tooth and needed to get in pretty quickly since I was experiencing tooth pain and didn’t want to take pain killers for too long a period in order tie me over. Dr. Hornberger and his staff were simply the best. They got me in first thing, a day and a half after my evaluation with Dr. Shirani. They actually offered an earlier appointment, the day prior, but I had a scheduling conflict. I had never undergone a root canal before, and didn’t know what to expect, and heard so many horror stories about this particular procedure. The procedure was (no kidding) completely painless (including the shots to numb the area), and I was so completely relaxed, I actually started dosing off in the chair in the midst of the procedure. I cannot pay enough compliments to Dr. Hornberger and his staff for a job very well done. Very talented!!! and I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring their services. Kudo’s!!!

Dr. Hornberger and his Dental Assistants were Awesome ! Little to zero pain. Very quick and thorough. Basically the polar opposite of Steve Martin’s character in Little Shop of Horrors. Lol! So nice, I thought they wanted to borrow money! Completely new experience for me. Thank you to the entire staff here. From beginning to end, felt like a VIP on the red carpet. Even took home a little swag bag.

I feel like I just came back from the spa! There customer service was beyond expectations! I will never go to another place again… Thank you dr and the team you guys truly are excellent! I don’t remember the last time I was treated this good at a dental place!

Highly recommend Dr. Hornberger. All the great reviews are true! He will not be replaced if I need Endodontic work again! So compassionate and walked me through the whole root canal process. Absolutely painless and comfortable. Thank you Dr.

I am a nearly forty year old man who had been active in sports all of my life. Unfortunately I have had more then handful of traumatic injuries to my mouth/​teeth. I have had a lot of experience with several Dentists/​Endodontists in my life. With over a half dozen root canals under my belt throughout my life I have avoided the Dentist/​Endodontist like they were the plague. After recently moving to Antioch I was in need of a root canal. After my first visit and root canal with Dr. Hornberger my opinion has changed dramatically.
Dr. Hornberger and his staff are second to none!!! They were more than concerned with my comfortableness and my experience. Not only did they take extremely good care of me, they made me feel very relaxed and well taken care of. The procedure itself (upper root canal) was a breeze. It went by so quick I was shocked. Not one once of pain or uncomfortableness. The entire appointment was unlike any I had ever experienced, in a very positive way. Dr Hornberger and his staff are the best I have seen in my nearly forty years. Dr. Hornberger is heads and tails above everyone else in my experience (which is extensive).
Again, I cannot express how good of a experience this was for me as someone who gets extremely anxious when visiting the Dentist/​Endodontist. I highly recommend Dr. Hornberger. Even after the appointment was over I was given a goody/​treat bag full of surprises which was fantastic.

I have been a dental assistant for 12 years, which in my opinion, makes me a good judge of great dentistry. I went to Dr Hornberger because the dentist I work for doesn’t do root canals. I just have to say my experience with Dr Hornberger, from my initial phone call, to his post op call, has been extraordinary!!! His front office staff was welcoming and helpful, his practice is BEAUTIFUL, his dental assistants were extremely sweet and attentive and Dr Hornberger himself provided… in one word, excellence!!! They gave me a post op kit after my root canal, which was PAINLESS btw, and I was blown away by their efforts to make every patient comfortable, before and after the treatment was done. I received a phone call from Dr Hornberger himself to check on me. Again, his attention to his patients is wonderful. I personally love post op calls! It shows that your dentist is concerned about your experience as well as your comfort level after the treatment, 2 things Dr Hornberger is seemingly driven to perfect. I will most definitely be referring my family & friends to his practice. Thank you Dr Hornberger & staff for making my experience at your office comfortable, effortless, and just overall excellent!

I was referred to Dr Hornberger by Dr. VONTELA they got me in the very next morning. The idea of a root canal terrified me. To my surprise the root canal was PAIN FREE!!! I can’t tell you how happy I am. I am recommending this Dr to everyone! I’ve had deep cleanings that were more painful then this root canal. I will never go to another dr if I ever have this problem again. Thank you to the Dr and to his excellent staff for making me comfortable and quickly handling my problem.

I had gone to Dr. Shirani (a great dentist too!) for a consultation regarding a trouble maker tooth. He referred me to Dr. Hornberger for a root canal. This was on Wednesday but when we called to make an appointment, we found out that Dr. Hornberger wouldn’t be available until the following Monday. I asked Dr. Shirani if he recommended anyone else, he hesitated so I told him I’d wait until Monday. I had the BEST experience ever. I’ve been fortunate to have had great dentists in the past but Dr. Hornberger was by far the BEST, did I mention he was the BEST? :) Usually the only uncomfortable part is the novocaine injection… Dr. Hornberger’s method of injection was not even felt, no pinch, nothing! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hornberger and his staff for your dental needs.

Wow, i have had a great experience when visiting east county endodontics today. I called about getting a retreat for a previous crown I’ve had done, they took me in the same day, worked with me on the price. The staff was really friendly, they made me feel comfortable. The best part is they gave me a goody bag when i left. How much more could i ask for. I would highly recommend them to anyone. All in all, fast, easy, and effective. thank you east county endodontics team you guys are great at what you do. :) happy patient

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Hornberger and his staff. I had my first root canal this morning and I was terrified. He was so gentle and so nice, walked me through it every step of the way. He took the time to numb me really good, and I didn’t feel a thing! I was out in 40 minutes, I couldn’t believe how quick it was and I feel 100 times better. They got me in so quick, from the front desk, to his dental assistant Taylor and Dr. Hornberger himself, you cannot get better service! I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a root canal :)

If there is such a thing as a painless root-​canal procedure, you can get it here. I (unfortunately) have had a number of root canals in the past, but this one was virtually stress free and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Hornberger’s practice.
