Great. Superb. Wonderful. Kind. Amazing dentist and staff. We brought our kids here after having a tough time scheduling another dentist and my children now Love going to the dentist! He encourages them, never scolds and rewards with positivity and affirmations. So happy with him that my wife and I have switched over now, as well. Very personable and professional guy who makes it a point to educate and treat the whole patient. Call them now! The office crew are equally great!

Dr. Shirani fixed the problem. And I’m not referring to my dental problem, which, by the way, he fixed just fine. He fixed the confusion of my insurance payment. I was left with a balance of over 400 dollars to pay out of pocket. That was not expected, and the surprise was too much for me. But with Kassy’s help, the problem was resolved, meaning the 400 bucks was waived. That proved to me that Dr. Shirani is more concerned about his patients than his bank account. I would recommend Dr. Shirani to anyone who needs dental care. He is a caring and talented Endodontist.

I went to Dr. Shirani yesterday as a new patient, had x-​ray and an exam. Let me tell you that I do not want to pass this weekend without saying that this office is by far the most kind and friendliest dental office I’ve ever been. As I was waiting for the room to be cleared for me, Dr. Shirani himself introduced himself and absolutely convinced me that I am in good hands. He is a very sincere and not for your money kind of dentist. I really do appreciate that he took time to introduce himself and talked about my worries (since I do not like going to the dentist). I cannot say much about his talent as a dentist since I won’t be there until February for my cleaning and filling. But for a person that has anxiety all the time to go to the dentist, I am actually excited to go to him for my cleaning and filling. I also went to a different dentist prior to coming here and was told I needed 6 fillings and a deep cleaning, turns out Dr. Shirani said I only need 1 filling and a light cleaning. He saved me a lot of money! Also, I want to say how friendly the front office staffs are especially Aubrey (I think that’s her name). She goes way and beyond to help you with scheduling and other things. I will be making another review in February once I get my filling and cleaning done. I highly do recommend you to check out Dr. Shirani though!

This review is long overdue. My family and I started visiting doctors Shirani’s office in late 2014. We thought we’d finally found someone we all could be happy with until a series of unfortunate events started to shortly happen. First off my work was some of the botched Dental work I’ve ever had done. He was supposed to simply veneer one of my front tooth, however he bonded both of my front teeth together! Needless to say I felt like a rabbit until I sawed through the bonding with thick floss. Then one front tooth was longer than the other, and he failed to veneer another tooth we both discussed altogether!
The worst came AFTER we’d all paid ALL of our billing as agreed (which everyone must do BEFORE ANY work is done on you). Only to receive a bill of more than $ 800.00 later saying we still owed for services we’d clearly paid for!
Now I don’t know about you, but this is definitely one of the most shoddy, aggregious, botched services we’ve ever experienced and will NEVER patronize again!

I am one of those people that HATES the dentist, I would go for my annual cleanings and that would about sum it up. My last dentist, I had been with the last 3 years and thought he was pretty good… Until I met Dr. Shirani. My dentist missed a lot, he lacked the technology and natural talent Dr. Shirani encompasses.
I went in for a consult two weeks ago. I am moving to C. Springs in December, and I thought it time to act like a big girl and take care of any dental needs I may have. I could not be happier that I trust led Unilocal,and went to his practice. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and he radiates honesty, integrity, and genuine care. And his assistants, phenomenal. Today I had 3 fillings done, and a cleaning: BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I have ever had.
If you are like me, do not like the dentist, worry about them behaving like car mechanics and ‘finding’ things wrong, or just want to make your time at the dentist as pleasant as possible, I strongly recommend Dr. Shirani’s practice. I actually think I will keep him as my dentist, and literally fly back home when it is time to see him. The kind of dental care he provides is THAT hard to find in my opinion.
Another example of Dr. Shirani’s dedication to his patients well being: he just called me from his personal cell to see how I was feeling, and to make sure my bite was correct with the new fillings. A+++ Dr. Shirani

Dr. Shirani and his staff are AMAZING! I have been terrified of going to the dentist for years and now I am actually excited to go. And my teeth feel and look better than ever. I have had so many bad experiences with dentists that I’m very skeptical about everyone, but Dr. Shirani put me completely at ease. I have had nothing but the best service and have had no pain whatsoever! Then the evening of my appointment Dr Shirani even called to check on me and see how I was doing. What a wonderful touch. You know he really cares for his patients. I will recommend Dr Shirani to everyone I know!

Dr. Shirani and his staff are awesome. This is the first time in my 30 years of life that I’ve actually looked forward to my next dental appointment. He’s got awesome gentle hands and makes sure that your comfortable during the entire visit. He even called me on a Friday night at 8 pm to check up on me after he had pulled my wisdom tooth that same day. I have referred my wife and brother to him and they’re also very happy with him. If your looking for a awesome dentist, look no further. Ali Shirani is the man!

Love Love Love Dr Shirani and all of his staff!!! Dr Shirani is the most caring dentist I have ever had, not only caring dentist but most caring doctor out of any doc I have ever had. He treats me and my family with the up most caring and respect! We always look forward to being seen!

Dr. Shirani and staff are all awesome. My family has been going there for 15 years. Their work is excellent and every visit will be pleasant. Dr. Shirani puts a lot of effort into making people comfortable and it works.

I can not begin to express how GRATEFUL & ECSTATIC my hubby & I are to have FINALLY found the «Michael Jordan”(or as my hubby prefers, «Kobe Bryant»!!)of Dentists we have EVER been associated with!!! TRUST ME, I am one of those patients that as a child had some very horrific experiences & walk into a Dentist’s office with «white knuckles»!! My husband went to Dr. Shirani FIRST as he had an abscessed molar to be removed. Then it was my turn (3 weeks later!!) to have a wisdom tooth pulled (maan, is this stuff contagious!). From the first «hello» by the amazing administrating staff to Dr. Shirani HIMSELF greeting you in the waiting room with a HUGE smile & warm welcome to chat with you awhile… I’ve NEVER (& I’m 58 yrs. young!)had a Dentist welcome me as if I was entering his own HOME! Now time for the «chair»…UNBELIEVABLE Patience, Kindness, Gentleness & yet QUICKNESS to take care of business without ANY, any pain. I’M SERIOUS!!! Checking with you constantly to make sure you’re ok… BAM, he’s finished & says, «All done Lynda»…WHAAAT??? NO WAY you’re done??? Yup, he will even show you your tooth to see for yourself the necessity of extracting it… brilliant, simply brilliant! Okay, so all this went down YESTERDAY & here I am today feeling great (???, who feels great after a wisdom tooth extraction!!!) & Thanking God for this TRUE HEALER & now Family Friend!!! SO if you have a huge, even slight FEAR of Dentists, Dr. Ali Shirani & his beautiful staff are THEE ONES to go to (I don’t care if you live in Tahoe, he’s sooooo worth the drive!!)

Dr. Shirani is the best dentist I’ve ever seen. His skills as a dentist are great. His office is clean and updated. He’s always thorough and his office staff is great. If you want a great dentist, look no further. We have recommended family and friends to see him and they’ve been very thankful.

We found Dr. Shirani a few years ago when my son needed emergency dental and our regular dentist was not available. He let us come in on a Saturday and we were so impressed with his generosity and how he treated our son who needed a a tooth pulled that we have been going to him ever since. My husband, thirteen year old and three year old all go to him and they have all receive excellent care. My three year old loved her first visit to the dentist. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have always had horrible luck with my teeth. Monday was no different as I accidentally used a front tooth to open an un-​opened pistachio. It resulted in a chipped tooth.
I did a quick Unilocal!search for local dentists as I was in need of one closer to home. The first place I called and no one answered; I am a firm believer for everything happens for a reason, and the reason why no one answered at the first placed was because it was intended that I see Dr. Shirani.
I lucked out and got an appt for the next afternoon.
I arrived early as instructed and checked in and filled out the paperwork.
Working in the medical field, I know not to look at a clock while waiting, but It felt like I was called back at my appt time.
The xrays went well. The evaluation of my teeth was thorough and informative. I have a plan to get my grill back in gear.
I got my chipped tooth fixed as well as an additional filling filled. I was put on a wait list for my long «to do» list of dental work. I was called today and added onto Friday’s schedule for a lovely root canal.
Alyssa, Dana, Rachel, and Dr. Shirani were all very pleasant; I look forward to another pleasant visit on Friday.

After a recommendation from another parent, we left ABPD and came to Dr. Shirani for some work for our 5 year old. Dr. Shirani is great, our son is not scared or nervous, they call his name and he heads back without fear, while mom and dad sit in the waiting room. Dr. Shirani always comes out to greet us and gives us updates while working on our boy. Coming here was a smart move.

Thank you Dr. Shirani for taking care of my teeth. You created an environment which makes the whole experience a pleasure. I love my new perfect smile!

I went from dentist to dentist every single one was despising but this dentist is a natural so if you have any problems I definitely recommend him as a dentist.

I use Unilocal for many things because I feel that if a person is willing to take the time to leave a review, especially a recommend, then it should be considered. Now, to do this for a dentist? That dentist must be good! I had read reviews for Dr. Shirani and fortunately he was a dentist with my insurance. The staff is so warm and friendly and Dr. Shirani is wonderful! He came out to introduce himself while I was in the waiting area and was very accommodating. It felt more like he was welcoming me into his home instead of his place of work. I’m so excited to have Dr. Shirani as my dentist and to have my adult children to see him too.

Dr. Shirani is the man. He took the time to explain me the recommendations at my initial visit. I had a routine cleaning + a tooth filling done which literally did not hurt. He walked me through the process, making sure there was minimal/​no pain. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. So wat r u waiting for? Get ur oral hygiene on, make the appointment. NOW (well, during the business hours, I mean).

I’ve seen approximately 8 dentists in my 65 years on this planet. They ranged from horrible to adequate. Dr. Ali Shirani is soooo far above them all, he should be nominated for sainthood!
I moved away from the Antioch area many years ago, but continue to drive 64 miles (one way) to Dr. Shirani’s office twice a year for my all dental work. THAT’S how AWESOME he and his friendly staff are!
When I retire in a few weeks, I will loose my group dental insurance, so I’ve been looking at buying individual dental insurance. I looked at 40 or so Unilocal reviews for the dentists in my area which are offered by DeltaCare insurance. OMG! The reviews were SCARY! And the cost savings isn’t that great. Most insurance plans typically expect you to shell out about $ 700 /​yr, but will only pay out $ 1000 /​yr. AND that’s while they only pay 20% to 50% of your dentist’s fees. In my opinion individual dental insurance is NOT the way to go, unless you need a massive amount of dental work.
I have now decided to be ‘self-​insured’ and continue to see Dr. Shirani. He’s the kind of dentist you never want to give up once you’ve found him. He is a rare find in an otherwise bleak landscape of dental care. I’d give him 6 stars, if Unilocal would let me.

I would rate this practice with 6 stars if I could. What you will receive is consistent, competent, professional, friendly service each and every time you visit.
I have been a patient of Dr. Shirani ever since he took over the business from Dr. Hurd in 2005. I have had many dentists in my 53 years and not a single one of them has come close to the extraordinary level of excellence I receive from Dr. Shirani. He is a relentless perfectionist and expects the same from his staff.
Besides routine cleanings twice per year, I have had fillings and tooth whitening procedures performed. Each time, my expectations were exceeded. When one of my fillings fell out a few months after the fact, Dr. Shirani stood by his work and told me, «Donald, this one’s on me» and replaced it for free. For my tooth whitening, he matched the price of a competitor and the results were outstanding. He uses the latest in technology, his office is immaculately clean and if you have any type of dental emergency, you can usually be scheduled right away.
His front office staff is exceptional. Dana, Ashley and Aubree are three of the friendliest people you will ever meet. They will always greet you with big smiles and are especially helpful in scheduling, billing, general questions and navigating the intricate complexities of the insurance world.
If you need a hygienist, nobody is better than Stacey. She is thorough, gentle, has years of experience and a bubbly, out-​going personality. In no time at all, she will set you at ease and make you feel comfortable.
Dr. Shirani will blow you away with his warmth, charm and attention to detail. He is a bundle of positive energy which transcends down through each and every member of his staff. He is kind, caring and meticulous when you are undergoing a procedure, and he frequently asks you how you are doing, careful to ensure you are not enduring any pain. He carefully charts each patient’s dental history, evaluates your overall health and makes recommendations along the way. He will not do anything you do not need.
Over the years, I have developed such a bond with everyone that I look forward to office visits as a social occasion. My partner is also a patient here, and when we show up – many times with home-​baked goods in tow– we receive hugs from everyone – including one from Dr. Shirani! We even get invited to his annual office birthday party which is always an epic event, attended by nearly everyone in the office complex. Everybody loves this man, and you will, too!
Rene, his dental assistant, is brilliant. Her work is perfect and she, like the rest of the staff, has an incredible personality.
I give this practice my highest recommendation. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
