We primarily take care of dogs and cats here at our hospital. Occasionally we do see a wider variety of household pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets etc however it is case dependent. Please give us a call for further information!

Dr. Manjunath Seetharaman S.

Business Owner

Dr. Manjunath Seetharaman has been the owner and primary veterinarian here at Ansonia Westfield Veterinary Hospital since 1987. Dr. Manj completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1977 from Madras Veterinary College in India followed by a Masters in Veterinary Theriogenology. He was joined by his daughter, Pooja in May 2012. Dr. Pooja Manjunath received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science at Purdue University and received her DVM at Michigan State University. She graduated from MSU in May of 2012, passed her boards, received her state of CT license and started working with her father succeeding her schooling.

Dr Manju and Dr Pooja are both very understanding and caring individual. They are always willing to help when help is needed. I have been going to this office for the past 28 years with all of my 14 animals. My family and friends all us this office as well and are very happy. I would strongly recommend anyone to see either doctor for any veterinary issue. We have seen at least three other vets before coming to this office and we are very very happy.

We took our dog there last week to get some sort of rash looked at. Dr. Manju was absolutely great. He was easy to talk to and was quick in diagnosing our dog’s problem. Also, the price was reasonable as well. Even though we live a bit of a drive away, we will continue to use him as our new vet office from now on.

Dr. Manju is wonderful. I have been taking my animals to him for many years. His rates are very reasonable. He doesn’t run unneeded tests. He will follow a conservative plan of care, asking for follow up calls for updates. He can be a little gruff at times. If you are not following keeping up with medications, inoculations and general pet care he will call you out on it. I believe that comes from his truly caring about your animal. He has only been kind and caring with my animals. My overweight dog received an A while I received a C as a pet owner. This last check up we both received an A!

Dr. Manju is unprofessional, rude, and insensitive to pet owners who are in difficult situations. Instead of offering helpful advice, he is critical and harsh. He also pushes the expensive pet foods he carries when there are other alternatives available. Definitely not recommended.

Friendly staff. Dr Manju is very knowledgeable and informative. Prices very reasonable. They give you a price estimate before administering any shots.
