History
Established in 1966.
About Our Practice
In 1966 Dr. Dennis Carlson opened the first orthodontic office in Anoka, Minnesota. We are 2 blocks from Anoka Middle School & St. Stephans Catholic School.
In 1970, Dr. Leonard Ackermann joined the practice.
In 1972, Drs. Carlson and Ackermann opened a second location in Elk River.
In 1975, a third office opened in the Osage Professional Building in Coon Rapids– 3 blocks from Coon Rapids Middle School and Senior High School.
In 1996 Dr. Scott Rensch joined the practice adding his talents in orthodontic treatment and patient care.
In 1999 Dr. William S. Becker joined the practice offering his expertise to an ever growing number of patients. He also teaches at the U of MN orthodontic school part-time.
In 2004, we opened an office in Andover, across from Oakview Middle School. It has made it convenient for patients in the growing Andover community.
In 2014, Dr Kyra Iwen joined the practice to help as Drs Carlson and Ackermann enjoy retirement.

Dr. Scott Rensch
Education:
Dr. Rensch attended the University of Minnesota for three years before entering the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He graduated with High Distinction and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
He continued at the U of MN for his specialty training in orthodontics. He received his specialty certificate and Masters degree (M.S.) upon completion of the two year residency.
Dr. Rensch has regularly attended continuing education seminars and lectures to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontics.

*Dr. Rensch is currently on the Board for the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists.
Personal Interests
Dr. Rensch, his wife Kathie, and children live in Ramsey. He enjoys soccer, golfing, karate, and time at the cabin.
