I really really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I dreamt of walking into a wonderland of kitchen gadgets, too-cool tools, and an army of attendants all smiling and cheerful, ready to vie for every dollar in my pocket book. (Just kidding, I don’t have a pocket book, but I really wanted to make you giggle today!) The reality set in when I picked up a quite expensive little dish, and I was told by an employee that it was fragile. I looked around, a little confused because I had no five year old child with me. Nor am I a five year old child. I continued to peruse the said«fragile items» also known as expensive items and I couldn’t help the feeling that the clothes I was wearing and my slightly unkempt appearance(sweatshirt and yoga pants… I just came from the yoga studio) was insinuating that I was of lower socioeconomic status and probably just there to window shop. None of the other women in the store, who were obviously better dressed than me, got the same overtly suspicious harassment that I received. I would give them 2 or even 1 star, but I will give them three purely on the basis of the quality of products that they offer. AMAZING! So many cool stuff in that tiny little space. In the end, I bought a couple of little kitchen paraphernalia and walked out unscathed and unperturbed. Because what justice would I give to the fight against socioeconomic/racial discrimination if I used Unilocal to voice my displeasure. That’s not me folks. I’ll let all their well-dressed, schmancy patrons be the judge of that. As for me, I shall give them an A-OK. Their products are great and there’s some pretty weird/cool stuff in there that you will not find at other conventional kitchen stores. Maybe I’ll test the waters again after I’ve showered and donned my buttondown shirt, pencil skirt, and kitten heels.

I’m happy that a store focused on the kitchen has been built. Not only can you get all your kitchen needs, you will find things that you don’t need but must have. The quality of the products are high end too. Because of that, you won’t get a good value here. Nonetheless, I always pop in here every time I’m in the Annapolis Towne Center.

I really do love Sur La Table but I am only giving three stars because of how bad the staff is. Twice in a row now we have gone in and no body even bothered to look up or say ‘Hi’.

We really like this place as it has something for everyone and everything. For the cook and baker that is. If you need a gift for a baker they have some wonderfully cute and decorated spatulas, aprons and other accessories. The have a wonderful selection of baking goods too. I particularly was tickled they had options on pastry sleeves that are reusable. Military discount 15% or 10% depending on the item. They were beyond friendly and helpful as well. Great selection of cruset items too.

If you love all things cooking & baking, this place is like a candy store. They have a nice sale section with plenty of discounted Le Creuset. The staff is friendly and eager to help OR leave you alone so you can shop in peace. Definitely more of a novelty store. I agree with John K’s comment: You come in here and see stuff that you didn’t know you needed.”

This place is stuffed full of accessories and a staff that knows how to use them. This is one of the shops I go to when I’m on the hunt for random tools I need in the kitchen. Friendlier staff, great variety and better location than the local William Sonoma.

Cute kitchen store with more flair and personality than say Williams Sonoma. Check it out and I’m sure you will find something for your kitchen or a nice gift for someone deserving. This is a must-browse when visiting the Towne Centre. I just dream about the kitchen I want to have one day.

WARNING: This review contains a non-sensitive male comment. I get dragged into Sur La Table by my lovely bride. I make the comment, «This place is kind of like Home Depot for girls. You come in here and see stuff that you didn’t know you needed.» I’m ready to write the place off when I see a small section with stuff to stock your bar. There’s this cool little turtle thing that you can use to separate Black & Tan. How neat is that?(See the picture.) Why only four stars? Because I sold their last wine vinturi device(aerator) and didn’t get a commission or discount. Serious. I’m standing there in the cocktail accoutrement section, and this guy walks over and stands beside me. I show him this $ 40 wine aerator and tell him he can’t live without this baby. Tell him it takes a 2006 Cab and makes it taste like a 1998. He says, «Really?» I say, «Yep.» He picks it off the shelf and buys it.
