I agree that the only good thing I can say is that they were delivered on time. What I ordered was not what was delivered… except that they were both«flowers in a vase». We sent this to my husband’s boss after a surgery and I was embarrassed to say that it looked like I could have gone to the Acme and bought it. When I called the«manager» just continued to make excuses for the poor quality. Do not order from these people if quality is of any value to you. I would have accepted even a small recompense but it wasn’t even offered.

I called to see if I could order some flowers ahead of time to pick up, and before I could even start explaining, the woman on the phone was super rude, kept interrupting me and just saying«Call back on Tues, ok? I can’t tell you anything until then» Keep in mind I had not even told her what i was looking for. I said«So you can’t even tell me if I am able to place small order ahead of time?» Answer«NO how many times do I have to tell you just call back on Tues» It was Saturday.

I wish I had a positive review to write, but unfortunately I do not. I also wish I had read Shannon’s review prior to ordering flowers for my wedding. I won’t go into great detail, but I will just say that I was IMMENSELY disappointed with the flowers presented to me 4 hours before our service. We used the two bridesmaid bouquets, but had I not had a friend save the day with Whole Foods, I would not have walked nor photographed with any flowers. They were just that bad and overpriced to boot. I was really disappointed as this place was recommended to us. To be fair, I was reimbursed for my bouquet by the manager and we were very appreciative. I will say, the flowers that were made at the last minute by WF were BEAUTIFUL and for 1⁄3 the price. If only I had known…

I’m kind of torn about what to say about Colonial. I called them because the other florists in town were booked and I needed to order two large and one small floral arrangements for my sibling’s funeral. When you’re at an occasion like that, the last thing that you want or need to be thinking about is the flowers. You just want someone who recognizes the gravity of the situation and gets it right. We ordered a small arrangement from my niece, an arrangement from my parents and an arrangement from me, to represent all of my siblings. It is worth noting that for the arrangements for my parents and niece, I gave general directions. For the sibling arrangement, I gave exact specifications of what I wanted in it(a standing arrangement with some white roses, lillies and calla lillies,) and said what I wanted to spend($ 125.) I understand that funeral arrangements are expensive and standing arrangements more so. But when I say specifically what I want, my order is accepted, and what I receive is something completely different and vastly inferior, I have a problem with that. The arrangement that was sent was an assortment of daisies, carnations, a few spider mums, and lots and lots of ferns and baby’s breath. Not exactly an impressive assortment. The only thing that they did as i asked was to use all white flowers. They also neglected to include a card saying who the arrangement was from. At first I was annoyed, but then I was relieved. Because I would have been absolutely mortified if anyone thought that I had intentionally sent such a cheap-looking arrangement for an occasion as important as my sibling’s funeral. It’s worth noting that the parental and niece arrangements that we ordered were both lovely, appropriate arrangements for the amount of money we spent. So it’s not that Colonial is not CAPABLE of better, it’s just that for some reason they decided not to do better for me. The manager was dumbfounded about what could have happened when I called to complain. They apologized and gave me a discount, so at least there’s that. But here’s the thing: even factoring in the regular funeral markup,(get ‘em while the tears are wet!) and even with the discount, the assortment that I got was laughably overpriced. $ 125 for an assortment of the most inexpensive flowers and filler that you could throw together is not a reasonable proposal, stand or no stand. I would recommend that you give your business to a florist who is more reasonably priced, trustworthy, and delivers more consistent results than this one appears to. I’ll never trust them with another important occasion again.

This place was a lifesaver one weekend. It was my wife’s birthday and I wanted to find her a nice arrangement to have for her when she came home. The problem was I was busy running errands all over the place so I had to find someplace that was nearby wherever I was. I looked up florists where I was and stopped on in… …boy was I glad I did! The staff were very helpful, worked fast to put everything together, and created a beautiful arrangement just as I asked. Even while I was trying to wrangle my 1-year old son, the staff had no problem helping out(even holding him while I looked around and paid). Friendly staff? Quick service? Good prices? YES! If I happen to be in the area again, I will definitely be using them… and hopefully this time it won’t be because I forgot my wife’s birthday.
