As audiologists, we place the utmost importance on offering hearing aid solutions designed to improve your ability to hear. We treat people in and around Annapolis, MD. Our recommendations are based on your set of unique needs based on a hearing test, your level of hearing loss, and your personal budget. Hearing aids should be custom-​fit and will require follow-​up for cleanings and upgrades. We also specialize in tinnitus treatment, dizziness diagnoses, solutions for vertigo and loss of balance, hearing protection, ear plugs, and pediatric hearing care.

We are the oldest private practice audiology group in the state of Maryland, and you can be assured that we treat each patient just as we would want to be treated. With professional competence, respect, and caring service, we strive to always give advice which is in your best interests.

In 1970 while a undergraduate psychology student, Dr. Hutto and his wife Kate took in a deaf foster child who had been misdiagnosed at birth as severely mentally retarded and grossly emotionally disturbed. He spent the first 10 years of his life in an institution with the key thrown away. Finally his hearing loss was discovered and IQ tests placed him in the high normal range. Bewildered that such a tragedy could occur, Dr. Hutto began a period of study and eventually decided to dedicate his work life to the study of hearing loss and service to individuals with impairment of hearing.

Dr. Hutto graduated from the University of Maryland with high honors, did graduate studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, and earned his Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. In 1975 he founded the first audiology clinic outside the public health sector in the state of Maryland.
