The service was OK, the food tasted good, but that was because it has MSG in it. When I went back and tried to order Phở without MSG, the owner said that he couldn’t do it.

Close to my house, so it is convenient. Place is very clean. The phở broth is on the sweet side, and is not my favorite. The egg rolls and rice dishes fair better. Service is lacking, and they will only check in at the beginning of the meal. However, they have good lunch specials so it wouldn’t hurt to stop by during your lunch break.

**delivery review only** I’m so happy to have found a Phở place in my area that delivers! Granted I’ll be honest, it’s not my favorite broth, but it’s still pretty good, plus so far all of the other non-soup items I have ordered have been absolutely spectacular! I will even go as far as to say, the Bánh mì I ordered the other day is probably the best I have had to date and the spring rolls are to DIE for!!! Also, I need more shrimp chips in my life apparently… yum! I fully plan on sampling all the things on their menu and look forward to many more delicious bowls of soup to keep me warm this winter.

Close to my home so on occasion I will come here for a quick bite. Can always count on good Phở! Service is nice. Place looks clean. I just wish they would expand their menu. Very limited right now.

I tried the chicken phở and it was pretty good here. Good amount of meat in the soup and noodles weren’t overcooked. I just felt like the service was a little slow. All I needed was water, nothing else… But I feel like it took forever to get their attention. Seems like even when walking towards me, there is no rush. The workers I guess knew some people at two different tables and they were so busy chit-chatting with them. The food was good though but nothing’s pulling me to keep going back for more.

The phở here is good and comes out fast. I normally head here for lunch when the mood strikes me. They have a daily lunch special that gives you a coke and spring roll with your phở for a good price. Service and wait staff are courteous, just don’t expect them to stop by your table after you get your food.

The food is very good but the service is horrible! The first couple of times my family went there for dinner, we always have to ask for water. The server does not come to check if there is anything we need or if we’re ok, instead we have to raise our hand and holler at them to get their attention. Tonight will be the last time we ever come back here. We needed water but the servers were crowded at the front of the room talking with one another. As soon as our waiter came close enough to our table, I said ‘Excuse me, can we have some more water?’ to which he replied with a «Hmm» sound. So then we waited for him and he came back with a pitcher of water and we were thinking he was going to fill our glasses up. Instead, he put it in front of me and said«Hmm» once again and walked away. We were shocked! We have never had such a rude server before! The serverd does not care if they give good customer service, as they will get the 15% gratuity automatically added to the bill, which they do not deserve at all with these kind of service.

I ts too hot for phở so I ordered their pork ban mi. Delicious! Hot off the grill pork. Bread wasn’t as good as Washington sandwich. my go to for this Vietnamese sandwich… but i am happy not to eat in the car. Other people seemed delighted with the phở. !will be back. Service was fine today.

Came here because one reviewer indicated that they have the best Bun Bo Hue in Metro DC. Well, I’ve tried it and would have to disagree. I would say it was«A-OK». The beef shank was way too tough. The broth didn’t have enough lemongrass flavor. The vegetable platter that came with it was very basic. If you’re a fan of Bun Bo Hue, I would recommend Phở 102 in Chantilly. I think they make it the best in the area.

Tried calling in a delivery order and the lady that took my call could not even get my name, address and phone number. She kept asking me over and over. Literally repeated myself so many times and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the phone reception. Was on the phone for 10min and she still couldnt get my information down. Got so frustrated that i told her nevermind and hung up and opted for chinese instead. Dont think i will try again.

I’m a fan. There are several great things you’ll enjoy at this phở joint. First, really delicious broth. Totally great for warming up on a cold day, or just to satisfy your soup craving. Second, they give you tons of meat, and I mean TONS. The last time I went I ordered the flank and brisket, and I wanna say I had like 20 long pieces of meat. It was almost overwhelming. I still had tons of leftover meat once my noodles were gone. Overall pretty good place to get your phở fix!

This was the best beef fried rice I’ve ever had and I ordered it delivery. It was fresh and delicious. I also liked the chicken phở. The spring rolls were just alright. I ordered online through the Unilocal app and it transferred my order to the newer« Unilocal eat24» app where I could see that my order was confirmed, see the guaranteed delivery time, watch the timer to see how long ago I placed my order, and it paid for the purchase plus left a tip. Super easy, convenient, and helpful. I definitely recommend both this restaurant and using Unilocal to order from them pick or delivery.

Came here on whim. My brother tried phở for the first time here and he liked it. I tried a bahn mi sandwich with stir fry meat. And it was very tasty. I was glad to finally try one. I added a little Siracha like the ad said and it did a nice kick of flavor for it. I love Korean food. It was nice here. Service wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either. Once they came and got our order we didn’t see them anymore I actually had to stand up like I was going to walk out for them to go print out the bill. Lol. They didn’t want me to walk out on the bill lol it was a nice cheap meal. 3 people and light lunch for around 25 $. It’s not the best I know but definitely a place to try and perhaps go back.

Great phở! They put a lot more noodles in the phở than other phở places I’ve been to in the area, a lot more meat, and bigger portions too. You definitely got your money’s worth here. I tried it for the first time last night and I was impressed. The décor was very nice and appropriate. The waiters were kind and the food came pretty quick. We also got some summer rolls which were to die for. So delicious, I would get them again. The peanut sauce that came with the summer rolls was SO good. It also came with a lot(unlike other places that give you a little dab of the sauce). Definitely one of my favorite phở places that I’ve been to, I’ll definitely be going back, I don’t even have anything bad to say, it was a good experience.

I say 2.5 stars is a balance of 4 stars for food and 1 stars for service. The phở is good. The egg rolls are great. The rice dices and sour fish soup are pretty good too. Some of the other soups, bun bo hue and conch soup, are ok. The service though is horrible. I order the exact same bowl of phở everytime i go which was once to twice a week(the wife is the one that tries the other dishes) but yet they get my order wrong 9 out of 10 times. At that point i might as well say give me phở and let them surprise me. Come on man, the food waste cost must be outrageous unless they are just picking things out and swapping it but considering how long i wait for the correct order, i doubt that. I hear you repeating the order as you walk away while im still ordering, so why is it always wrong.

Phở Cong Ly was the hot spot for phở back in the days when it was next to Outback Steakhouse. It went away for awhile and made a comeback! The restaurant is housed in the Backlick Shopping Center along with Gold’s Gym, Dollar Tree, PNC Bank, and Giant grocery store. The boyfriend and I dined here for lunch the other week. We ordered the egg rolls(they’ve always been known for these) to share. He ordered phở and I ordered a vermicelli bowl with grilled beef. I tasted the phở and it was flavorful, but I’ll be sure to update my review when I order it next time as an entrée. The vermicelli bowl was a generous portion and a good ratio of veggies to meat. The service was slow, and there were several dirty tables(the server had to clean a table before we were sat), but overall our experience was okay. My boyfriend raves about the phở here, so I’m sure we’ll be back again soon.

So let’s get the major con out of the way: the service. It’s indifferent, aloof and can be borderline rude. Sadly, it’s the norm in Viet restaurants(Four Sisters and Minh’s are huge exceptions and their clientele reflects it) so this is negligent. The food, however, is something else. It’s outstanding. When I was growing up and Little Saigon was located in present-day Clarendon, places this good were everywhere. But times have changed and it’s hit or miss, especially when you get further away from Eden Center, the Viet epicenter. So this place is a gem. Yes, the phở is wonderful and packed with flavor, but one should explore the other authentic Viet delicacies on the menu like the spicy, pungent Bun Bo Hue(which Anthony Bourdain actually holds in higher regard than phở). While it lacks some ingredients that a true Viet household would include, it does come with the requisite pork knuckle. The Cha Ca Thang Long(broiled catfish), the shrimp and sweet potato fritter appetizer, the Banh Xeo are all quality renditions that any Viet would be happy with. So if you haven’t, hit up this place. It’s damn good.

Phở Cong Ly is yet another stop on my quest to find the perfect bowl of phở! This place is near and dear to me because it relocated from Springfield not too far away from where I grew up. This version is definitely a huge improvement from the original because it’s more modernized and clean. The spring rolls were some of the best that I’ve had in this area. You know how some spring rolls are just plain? These are not those simple rolls, my friend. These are the legit cha gio which have that irresistible crunchy exterior. The phở broth definitely left me wanting more flavor. I added some hot chili oil and that definitely helped… I learned from my fellow phở lovers that this may have been«top of the pot» broth so I wouldn’t mind giving it another try. I loved the avocado smoothie but the boba was just not right so next time I’d order it without. I’ve heard that they use real fruit for a lot of their smoothies so that’s a fresh tip! Overall… #14 Phở = 3 stars Cha Gio spring rolls = 5 stars Avocado bubble tea = 4 stars

This place had good phở, boba tea, and service. The only thing I would say they can improve on is having food come out all at once. I got the piña colada boba tea and this was so good that We ordered another one. It was sweet and had a hint of tartness– at first I thought it was yogurt boba tea. Their phở was flavorful and tasted great. It satisfied my soup craving.

Phở Cong Ly has been my home phở ever(no pun intended). I was a frequent customer at their previous location off of Backlick by Outback. Obviously, I was elated to see their re-opening by Gold’s Gym in the Bradlick Shopping Center. I ordered my usual combination Phở(Dac Biet) and Banh Xeo. The waitress was surprised I could finish both dishes by myself. The broth was warm and flavorful with the right amount of noodles and meat. Banh xeo was crispy and not too oily from the deep fried cooking. Service was friendly as to be expected.
