If the hours for drop off were a little more convenient, I’d give this place five stars. As it is, they’re only open on Saturday mornings(9 a.m. until noon) April through December, and are closed on holiday weekends. However, to their credit, you can call ahead and arrange for an alternate drop-off time if Saturday mornings don’t work for you. The drop-off center is located in the back parking lot of the Western Washtenaw County Service Center. It’s easy to find, since signs will point you where you need to go. You don’t even need to get out of your car. On my last visit, just had me pop the trunk of my car and unloaded my old paint cans and dead fluorescent light bulbs for me. I was in and out in about 60 seconds. They will let you know that donations are gladly accepted, but it’s a free service for anyone living anywhere in Washtenaw County. I was so happy to get rid of those rusty old cans of paint that I will probably mail in a donation or give one in person the next time I have something to drop off.
