I had two negative experiences with this location. I dropped a trailer off and the staff was rude and inefficient. I picked up and dropped off a cargo van to this location and the staff seemed annoyed that I was there. They were also very concerned with the number of range Gobstoppers candy in a package. They stopped to discuss this while I was waiting to get the keys to the van. They also continued conversation about their social lives while trying to help me. At times I didn’t know if they were communicating with me or not. I’ll drive to Ann Arbor in the future and hope for better service.

My experience with U-Haul was TERRIBLE and I’d advise anyone to avoid at all costs! Note: This review is not for this particular location, but simply for U-Haul in general as I was dealing with their 1 – 800 numbers. I made a reservation with U-Haul weeks in advance. They told me they’d call me the day before my Saturday reservation to tell me where to pick up my truck. So on Friday I get a call telling me to pick up my truck in Monroe, Michigan. Monroe?! I made the reservation for Ann Arbor and now they’re practically sending me to Ohio! After calling back another time(I’ve learned with a lot of big companies that you often get different answers from different people) I talked to a nicer woman who found me a truck in Ypsilanti. Not great, but better. And interesting that she was able to find a closer truck while lady #1 wasn’t. I then asked her where in Chicago(as that’s where I’m moving) I would need to return the truck, as the Chicago marathon would be going on that day & seeing as I’m new to the city, I wanted to go to the closest return spot. She gave me the Chicago regional # to call to find out where I could return — she stated that I could find out ahead of time. The guy who answered the Chicago regional number simply told me that he could not, would not, tell me where I needed to return the truck until the exact time I wanted to return it. He advised me that I would then return the truck where THEY needed a truck. Whaaat? I thought I was just moving — didn’t realize my job was now becoming U-Haul’s truck delivery person. Silly me, I thought businesses were successful by trying to do what’s best for the customer — U-Haul seems to operate on doing what’s best and most convenient for THEM. Mind you, I didn’t say any of THAT to him(although in retrospect I should have). I just informed him that I was new to the city and would really like to simply return the truck to my closest location. He said«NO» and reiterated that I’d return the truck where they needed a truck… and then he hung up on me. I realized U-Haul was giving me way more grief than I deserved and needless to say, I called back U-Haul to let them know I’d rather have NO truck than their truck. The next day I was able to get ahold of the local Budget dealer in Ann Arbor and was squared away with a new truck within an hour. BOTTOMLINE: You may be tempted b/c U-Haul might be a few dollars cheaper… but it’s not worth it!!! Budget has much more convenient and customer-friendly policies.
