Wood walls and tables give this a warmer feel than most SBs. The place stays quite busy owing to its proximity to the University as well as some corporate offices. This makes it a little hard to find a seat sometimes, and, on some days finding one near a plug in seems about as likely as hitting the lottery. The coffee is always up to standard, and the service is good. If this place was a bit roomier I’d probably be here more often.

I work and live right down the road from this location so this is typically my go-to Starbucks. The store is kept clean and decorated like any other Starbucks on this planet. Service is usually fairly good; this morning I was in and out in under 5 minutes. This location has messed up my order before or have taken a very long time to make my drink, but that’s abnormal for my experiences. Drive thru line is typically incredibly long which I don’t get because there’s usually little to no wait inside. However, they do manage to get people through fairly quickly. The one thing I do not like about this location is how hard it is to get back onto Plymouth heading towards 23.

I will start with the positive. The store itself is large, has lots of seating, and is really clean. Now the negative. The drinks are inconsistent, as the quality depends on who makes it. The staff is LOUD, obnoxious, and unprofessional. They act like you are an inconvenience to their social hour.

I love most Starbucks and the drink I got here was quite good. It is a nicely decorated store, clean and updated. As with most stores with drive thrus, the serving area is split to serve from two directions. And the attention of the baristas is typically split also. That can be a problem sometimes and on a rainy day like this, the drive thru lane was a bit backed up, so we went inside. We walked right up to the counter, no line in here. Our orders were taken immediately but it took forever to get our drinks. Clearly not enough baristas or else priority for the espresso machines was going to the drive thru window. It is rare at any of my regular Starbucks to have to wait as long as we did, even the one with a drive thru. They also were preparing a «traveler» box for a customer, but that should not tie up the espresso machines. Just understaffed is my diagnosis. I hope this was an aberration because of the weather or else the manager needs to rethink the staff schedule. I have never been to this store before, so I am only guessing.

This review is to warn potential customers who might want to return a gift or transfer the store credit to their own card. As far as drinks go, we do not have any complain so far. However, whenever we have to do some out of ordinary transactions, 1) my wife was trying to return a cup she bought for me, and they gave her hard time because they did not know how to do it in their system, and 2) when I try to move the store credit to my starbucks gold card, they flat out said that they could not do so. Coming back home, I realize that I could put the store card into my Starbucks app and transfer the balance to my card. So it seems to me that staff here are quite untrained for their financial transactions. And I did not find them nice about this. Very disappointing. So, if you want just a coffee/tee, it is a good place. But if you have to do anything extra, try different starbucks around AA.

It pains me to write a bad review of Starbucks as I have never met a Starbucks I didn’t like until I moved to A2. But its not the quality of the drinks or the friendliness of the staff… it is that over 50% of my orders have been delivered wrong or forgotten. My first visit, I ordered a coffee and a sandwich. We waited 10 minutes and I repeatedly went up the barista who assured me the sandwich was being prepared. After about 15 minutes, I was then told they forgot to heat the sandwich and they gave us free drink tickets. The next time I arrived, my order was screwed up and I was given the wrong drink. And then just recently, the past 2 times in the drive-thru, I was given sweetened drinks when I specifically asked and made them clarify that it was unsweetened tea. I also noticed that they charged me $ 1 more today than they did for the same tea yesterday but it was 7AM and I was too tired to argue. Now we joke about this particular Starbucks and fully expect the order to be incorrect ½ of the time. I will now take a few seconds in the drive-thru to make sure my drink has been made as ordered. So forgive me for sitting in at the drive-thru window for a little longer than usual. :(

I measure by three different things in comparison to Taco Bell: DECOR: This Starbucks looks like any other Starbucks. So I don’t think it’s fair to really talk about the décor. I will talk about the music, which is really good. I have heard Tom Tom Club, Paul Simon, and more. They put good music on and that’s important in a coffee place. For the Décor I will give 1 star. SERVICE: The service goes back and forth according to who is working. Most of the time I am pretty happy about it. I am a regular there so they are really friendly towards me. I have never had a problem with a wrong order or waiting a long time, which is nice. For the service, I will give 2 stars. FOOD: I mostly drink the coffee here, for the most part I don’t like Starbucks’ food, but I know that’s not really their fault. The coffee is most of the time good. Oddly enough, some baristas make it better than others, but that’s okay. I guess the same could be said about a Taco Bell taco. Sometimes you’ll get slop ground beef in a taco, sometimes you’ll get the most beautiful gourmet taco with nicely decorated lettuce and cheese. Life is a box of chocolates, right? For the food 1 star. FINALVERDICT: Is Taco Bell better? Depends. Look if you want good food, go to Taco Bell. If you want good coffee, don’t go to Taco Bell. Starbucks is a coffee company, not food. Actually why don’t you just go to both Taco Bell and Starbucks. I like having coffee with food that needs to digest. It gives an extra kick for my digestive system. Perfect!

Typical Starbucks, clean, well designed, counter service and a drive through. The staff were well trained, friendly and efficient. My only complaint would be the WiFi didn’t even go to the parking spots immediately out the back door with any signal strength. It does smell very good every time someone opens the door though. 3 stars and I’ll be back…

I killed 2 hours in here one day waiting for my kids at summer camp. The staff moved quickly and the store was very clean including pristine restrooms. There is ample seating for the area with plenty single/two tops for laptops and studying. One very distasteful thing I witnessed during my time at the store was some type of manager pulling employees aside but still in public and grilling them on rules violations and asking them to specifically point out what fellow employees were doing wrong in front of customers and the employes they were intended to rat out. I found this amazing distasteful, and felt major empathy to the poor employees who were being pressured into causing problems with coworkers. Where did this guy learn his management skills? Very rude, very demoralizing, incredibly patronizing.

This is one of my favorite SB locations. It’s one of the newly styled Starbucks with the ‘reclaimed urban wood’ tables. The restrooms are private and well kept. The staff is really friendly and they joke around a lot with customers. There’s a mix of students, freelancers, and suits that frequent this place. It’s definitely popular amongst the young stylish Korean student set. It’s not uncommon at night for a couple of students to bring in a board game and take over a couple of tables. If you’re gonna put in a long work session, I recommend ordering your drink in a mug or glass. The foamy espresso drinks taste better, it’s environmentally friendly and you save 10 cents. I’m not sure what trips people up about the drive-thru here, but if you value your car don’t park near that traffic flow. There’s plenty of free parking all around this complex so finding a spot anywhere else shouldn’t be a hassle. It can get pretty busy here sometimes, but most of the regulars are really laid back and invite others to share table space. Student tips: 1) Save your receipt. Often times, SB offers extra savings on purchases after 2pm if you buy something in the morning. Also, if you review the location through their site online you can score a discount or a free drink. 2) Outlets are all around the café, which makes it very student friendly. 3)There’s a lot of natural lighting and the tables around the nook near the back door are really great if you’re looking for a quiet sunny spot to work. 4) The water in the café is triple filtered. So don’t buy the expensive bottled stuff. Just ask for a trenta water or bring your own container and ask if they’ll fill it up. 5) Tip your barista. They customize orders for you, remind you about ongoing specials, and hook you up with free samples. 6) If you’re in a study group, share a French press coffee. It’s fresh and economical. 7) No one minds if you bring in outside food

The only reason I’m giving three stars is because of the lovely girl who works here. Without her they’d get one. I ordered via drive through and left with a drink I thought was mine. It was completely and utterly wrong. I have food allergies, so this is a big deal. I called and talked to someone and he assured me that I could come back in and they’d remake my drink, no problem. I choose to walk into the store and explained what had happened and asked for my drink to be remade. The five other employees didn’t seem to understand why I was upset(soy is an allergen) and I felt very dismissed. All I wanted was the beverage I had paid for. Finally, the lone female working realized I was frustrated and made my drink, verifying how I wanted it. I’d like to say I’ll go here again, but I probably won’t. I’ve never had a problem at the Biggby down the street and will continue to go there instead.

Glad that there is a Starbucks on this side of town now and that I don’t have to walk into the Kroger to get a coffee on my way to work… Can’t say that this Starbucks is much different than any other I have been to. Great coffee and pastries, bottled waters, teas, sodas, etc. A small amount of seating… They have a drive through, but Im not brave enough to go through it. Way too much traffic in that parking lot to do that!

I’m glad to see Starbucks open up on this side of the town… they have the market cornered south of fuller road and downtown… and on the plus side, they have drive thru. The drive-thru is little challenging though, but hey, i’m glad they have it. The parking lot can get full with all the other establishments in the mall. The other thing, making a left turn between the TCF bank and DFCU area is nightmare… so use the traffic light on Nixon Rd.

I am thrilled to see that this Starbucks popped into existence since I was last in Ann Arbor. This is one of the cooler Starbucks that I have been in: it’s an absolutely awesome space with very trendy décor. And a drive thru! Even though it’s just popped into a microwave, I really enjoyed the egg white wrap with chicken sausage – very tasty, and I’m still full three hours later!

Finally! A Starbucks I can study in on North Campus! Much easier to park than the central campus locations. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I just wish they had more seating available inside but they’re limited by the small space. They have an outdoor patio that looks like it will be popular this summer. I haven’t tried the drive-thru yet. Great location, I can grocery shop at Kroger’s or Way One market just across the street!
