ON-​SITE Organizing

In on-​site sessions in SE Michigan and Chicagoland, we roll up our sleeves alongside you to get you back to a «clean slate» state.

First, if necessary, we guide you through your decisions about what stays (things you love or need) and what goes.*

Next, we build strategies for the placement and maintenance of «keepers» — strategies that are intuitive to you so you can keep them up. Follow-​up phone sessions help ensure this.

It’s all done with an accepting, confidential attitude focused on problem-​solving and bringing more energy to your life and spaces.

* We donate or recycle many items at no additional charge, redistributing resources into the community.

VIRTUAL Organizing

These are shorter, strategy-​focused sessions on a smaller budget, via Skype. The same goals apply as in on-​site organizing.

Simplicity Works will help you gain control over your home or office and use your space and time more efficiently. The process will save you energy, stress, time, and money.

In 2005, I returned to my native Midwest after a career in New York City’s publishing industry to begin curing crises of organization — everything from Living Room/​Playroom Syndrome to I Think I’ve Misplaced My Filing Cabinet. After 7 years in Chicago, where my associates and I continue to work, I now live and organize in Ann Arbor, MI.

Simplicity Works organizers’ style is compassionate and empathetic, calm and energizing. We create system that require minimal buying and maximum ease, and understand that being organized doesn’t mean being boring! It means being ready to leap into action. Organizing projects are puzzles to solve, not overwhelming challenges, and we break each one down into manageable steps and then tap into your creativity to accomplish them with you.
