Homestead commons is actually a really wonderful place to live.
Each apartment home receives an assigned carport close to home with no additional charge– so parking shouldn’t be an issue. They are spacious and a good price for being in Ann Arbor. The closets are large, the area is peaceful and the neighbors are kind.
You have the choice of a first or second floor depending on the availability.
The staff is very friendly and helpful — contrary to the previous review stated below.

Don’t let the good looks fool you. It’s built on swampland, and the downstairs apartments are prone to black mold. A lot of the residents are section 8 housing, and the office is staffed by residents who get reduced rent by working there. Despite this, the rent is high, really high for what you get. The open parking spots are taken by transport vehicles for the brain damage clinic running out of the front apartment. Is that even legal?
