Don’t know how this place stays in business. Over priced products and horrible customer service.

Poor customer service even though we have been using Dobbs for many years. Recently refitted with poor results and they refused to give me my lens prescription so that I could go to another optician, stating that HIPPA prevented them from giving me back my script (which I provided them initially). What a bunch of baloney. I won’t be going back.

The guy I got was a jerk. Hey, maybe we just don’t resonate, you know? First thing after he gets off his personal call (which he resumed later before I was done), after I said I was looking for some frames, was, «we don’t have any frames like [what you’re wearing].» Obviously, that’s why I’m here, to buy what I already have. Why replicate the tedious minutiae of low-​level misunderstanding and hostility? I want «lighter» framers? That must mean $ 425 frames made of tungsten (why not platinum or rhodium or diamond dust?). That’s what I *said* after all. Or does it mean color? Go back to your talk about golf games. Sorry to interrupt.

I went to Dobbs two years ago for glasses and had a great experience. So, why, oh WHY did I go to an inferior chain store this year, just to have an awful experience??? I went back to Dobbs today to get glasses that will actually work for me. Mr. Dobbs was very helpful. He explained which lenses will work best with progressive bifocals… yes, I’m an old fart now… and why. He explained the options and made very good and honest recommendations. I took a friend with me to make sure I was getting cute glasses. But if you go alone, Dobbs has this very cool gadget … they will take photos of you wearing several different frame options, then display them four-​up on a screen for you to see what you really look like. You can compare your options and make a decision about which looks really great. If you need glasses, skip the chain. Go to Dobbs!
