Campus Concepts: Moving & Storage

These guys moved a lot of heavy furniture into my new apartment in the pouring rain. They were very nice and the whole thing was reasonably priced.

I made an appointment over the telephone to hire Campus Concepts to pick up furniture from my home to deliver to a charity. (The furniture was too large and heavy for me to move by myself, and charity pickup services will not come into your home as they are not licensed/​insured for this, as I understand it.)
The man who took my call and answered my questions was helpful and professional. I received an initial email confirmation, as well as an email reminder a couple days before my scheduled pick up.
The movers arrived on time (perhaps 5 min. late, but my home is hard to find and they did call me from the road when they had difficulty finding me). The two men were kind and courteous; they handled my furniture with care. The work involved disassembling a large piece of furniture, and they asked me for a plastic bag to keep all the bolts together. Then, they loaded my furniture into the truck with padding around all the pieces. They brought the padding themselves; I did not provide it.
I drove separately to the charity drop off location, and also watched the movers unload my furniture, which they did carefully. I only wish the charity workers who accepted my donation treated my furniture with such care.
I can’t speak to their storage services, but the moving services were professional, prompt, courteous and careful. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

I used Campus Concepts to store a mattress (which included pick up and delivery). I appreciated the quick initial communication with Warren, and the reasonable price– unfortunately the service did not deliver.
The movers picking up my mattress ripped the mattress bag (which I paid extra for) and did not replace it, which meant the mattress was stored unprotected and had visible dust and dirt on it. When the movers later delivered my mattress at the end of the summer, they were unorganized and confused — they arrived at my apartment thinking they were supposed to pick something up. I told them they were supposed to be delivering a mattress, at which point they had to leave and go get it, which threw off the promised delivery window.
I emailed Warren about the issue and received no response. If you want a more high quality service or are storing a mattress, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

I had a great experience with Campus Concepts. It was easy to schedule an appointment that was convenient for me and they were willing to change my appointment at the last minute. They provided boxes and bubble wrap, as well as moving everything in, storing in, and moving it out. They also disassembled and reassembled my bed frame and couch. They were friendly, professional, and helpful. And, when one of my boxes was forgotten, they ended up giving me a discount! I would recommend their service.

these guys were fantastic ! They moved us out of our two bedroom apartment on the second floor (no elevator), stored our stuff while we were away for the summer, and moved us into our new house. They were quick & professional and I’ll be sure to recommend Campus Concepts to friends and family in the future!

I’m very happy with the service I received from Campus Concepts, from booking to shutting the door on my moving truck. The movers arrived on time, packed the truck really well, and answered all of my questions without being condescending. Would recommend to anyone needing moving services in the area!

These guys are great! Very calm, collected, and can are very flexible — You don’t even need to be in town for them to get to work! A bit pricey but definitely worth it!

I’m giving campus concepts five stars coz the movers were very professional, adept and quick at their job. They handled my furniture and boxes very carefully. They arrived on time and clocked in the correct hours. Overall a very good and swift moving experience, all thanks to campus concepts! I will definitely recommend them to all my friends!

My movers were PHENOMENAL. They arrived exactly when they were supposed to and they worked really hard to efficiently load and unload my belongings. They were very careful with all of my things, and I can’t stress enough how efficient they were. They had my entire move done in an hour! Granted, I was only moving about 20 boxes and a flat screen television down the street, but it was still very fast. Unfortunately, there is a two hour minimum so I ended up paying for an entire hour that we didn’t use.
At any rate, I highly recommend Campus Concepts!

My husband and I recently used Campus Concepts to unload our U-​Pack trailer in Ann Arbor, MI. I will start by saying that the movers we hired to load our truck in Omaha, NE (not related to Campus Concepts) did a HORRIBLE job and subsequently, it made it very difficult for Campus Concepts to unload our trailer. The two men with Campus Concepts were extremely patient, empathetic, and understanding of my frustration with how our property was handled in Omaha.
Campus Concepts was available with very short notice and they were very flexible in accommodating our needs. In addition, our trailer arrived earlier than expected, and the movers were able to adjust their schedule and come earlier to unload.
I would definitely recommend Campus Concepts to anyone. They are fantastic!

I want to HIGHLY recommend Campus Concepts for storing your kids’ stuff at the University of Michigan and for help with moving in and out, putting together the dreaded Ikea furniture and mounting televisions on the walls. I used this company — Warren Bryan is the owner — last fall to move my son into his fraternity house, as well as in May to pick up and store much of his stuff and move the rest to a sublet for a few months, and then again this past week to pick up and store the rest of his stuff until the fall.
I have been incredibly happy and impressed with Campus Concepts. Unlike John’s Pack & Ship, which I had used before, Warren was incredibly accomodating and far more reasonable. He is a really lovely young man who graduated Michigan just 4 or 5 years ago. He even went to pick up a sofa at Big Lots for me and then delievered it to my son’s room at his Fraternity house. He also does all handyman services — mounting tvs, putting together furniture, putting up drape rods, etc.
I cannot say enough about Warren and his company, and I encourage you to give him a try, or at least check out his prices, before storing anything with John’s.
I also really like the way you get text messages confirming appointments, and then it is so easy to pay on-​line for services rendered.
I have told many of my friends about Warren and Campus Concepts, and am thrilled that a lot of the boys in my son’s fraternity house used Campus Concepts to pick up and store their stuff over the summer, and have been equally pleased with the professionalism, attitude and good work from this company.

Great service. Our two movers were punctual, respectful, kind, and efficient. I honestly didn’t think we’d fit all of my stuff into a 12-​foot Uhaul, but they made it work, thanks Campus Concepts!

Friendly, professional and very flexible with changing requirements. 3 boxes turned into 10 or so odd shaped items to pick up and store. A about an hour late to pick up but it was end of finals and to be expected. They did communicate the delay so credit for that. Four stars instead of 5 because they said they would be able to deliver additional boxes and didn’t and my changing quantity had the price go from about $ 60 to over $ 350 which may have been mitigated if I’d been able to pack into their standard sized boxes. I paid for changing my mind last minute. Great, friendly and trustworthy service. I’d use them again.

This was our first time hiring professional movers, and to be honest, I was a bit nervous after hearing/​reading horror stories. I decided to go with campus concepts after reading reviews and after calling them and feeling like they were really on top of things. Not only did they book me, but sent a reminder/​confirmation email directly after. I also really appreciated how flexible they were — the truck was arriving a few hours late, I called them and they had a great attitude ‘no problem, we’ll make it work for you’, I really can’t say how nice it was to hear that during such a stressful time (cross-​country move with a 28ft truck on the way).
The guys that showed up were nice, careful with our things and eager to please, which was great. Highly recommend!

If you’ve used movers in any real city you’ll know what real help looks like.
These guys were amazingly slow. Three hours to load a truck that took my professional big city movers 45 minutes to unload, including the time it took to go back and forth to the truck.
I’m bummed that they’ll be able to identify me by this review but golly… it took an age.

I had a wonderful experience with Campus Concepts when I moved to a new apartment last summer! They were very efficient and friendly, and did a terrific job with moving some heavy furniture out of a very narrow doorway/​staircase. They were able to finish moving everything into my new place in just an hour and a half, and the price they charged was significantly cheaper than other moving companies in the Ann Arbor area. I liked my experience with them so much that I plan on using them again for my upcoming move this summer!

When you’re moving into an area you don’t know, it can be hard to find the right movers. All I needed was a crew to unload my U-​Haul professionally and at a reasonable price. Campus Concepts are those movers!
Their hourly rate was significantly less than other highly-​rated movers in the area. The two-​man crew did a great job, worked hard on a freezing cold day to get me unpacked and moved into my new place. They were pleasant and professional.
Don’t let «Campus» in the name mislead you. It’s not like they just grab some guys off of campus to move your precious belongings. These guys are professionals. I highly recommend them.

I have used multiple moving companies in the past 10 years and have had some bad experiences which has caused me to be picky about the moving company I hire to come into my personal space and move my belongs.
I chose to contact Campus Concepts based on the great reviews I read on Unilocal.I contacted Warren regarding our upcoming move and was told that we were considered a local move and would be charged an hourly rate. My thoughts were, «Wow this could work for us or against us». However the rate that Warren quoted me was very reasonable as an hourly price, plus much better than other quotes that I received from other companies. We had a rather unique moving situation; we were hiring Campus Concepts to do a double move for us — my brother was moving from his apartment (on the 3^rd floor) into our 2 story condo and we were moving into a quad level house.
Tyler & Justin showed up ready to work, and work hard they did. I think we moved on the hottest day of August and our entire move was done in 5 hours! And that was with an hour drive in there. I don’t think Tyler & Justin stopped for more than a 5 minutes, every so often. We really appreciated their hard work, which allowed us to move faster and save money. My husband and I moved a lot of our smaller boxes and clothes ourselves and had Campus Concepts move our furniture and big, bulky boxes. The day of our move we put most of our boxes in a section of our living room to make it easier for the guys to move things in and out of the condo. We also needed to make space for my brother’s items to be moved into the condo, to empty the truck so that our belongs could be moved into the truck.
Tyler and Justin did a great job of being careful with our items. Sure there were a few corners that got nicked and slightly damaged, but that is going to happen when you move items in and out of a truck. Most of the corners that were «damaged» were cheaper storage items or items that had been damaged from previous moves. However none of our furniture was damaged beyond repair and we are able to use everything, nothing had to be thrown away. All of our kitchen items that got moved, arrived in one piece, we did move many of our dishes (plates, glasses and some glass bowls) ourselves.
Tyler & Justin were respectful of our space, our belongs and our time. On a previous move I had one moving company steal from me while they were moving my belongings. Justin & Tyler never disappeared or went into rooms that did not have items in them to move. They were honest about what could be moved as a whole and what needed to be broken down, like our crib.
This has been the best moving experience! Thank you Warren, Tyler & Justin for helping make our move smooth, efficient and «uneventful.» We will use Campus Concepts for any future moves and have already recommended their services to friends.

They came to my apt and packed up my things, they had the boxes, and bubble wrap ! The packages were safety stored all summer long, and than they coordinated a time to move all my things to my new apartment ! they even mounted my TV !!
