Nomnomnom. Consistently good food. I love their chicken shawarma, gyro, and fries. I both live and work by this place, so it’s kind of dangerous for me. Recently my co-worker placed an online order and it arrived 40 minutes early, when she wasn’t there. When Faris(sp), who I think is the owner, came to drop off another order, a different co-worker and I explained what happened, and he was so great about it. He said he’d be back at the right time with a brand new order for our friend. He even left the original order. A+ customer service!

We love it we always order the original gyro and there is good amount of meat but I wish they added a little more tomato and onions like the other stuff. but food is always fresh and delicious.

This place is very close to work, so it’s nice to stop by and pick up a meal… I always call in ahead and pick it up. My usual is the Ahmo’s Gyro… I think it’s $ 5.99 before tax… this usually fills me up. Plenty of parking… this place isn’t that busy… I’ve been there during lunch hours and non-lunch hours, so it’s nice. Very open and lot of seating… will have to try other food offering when I have time next time I’m around the area.

Everything was great(fries, sides, service, etc) except the total lack of anything other than chicken in my chicken gyro. Literally no sauce or veggies. What happened?

I really can’t get enough of Ahmos. This is by far my favorite location(as I’ve had delivery issues with the downtown ypsi location– but even then the food was amazing) the owner can be often found here and genuinely cares about your experience and his business. My favorite is the Chicken Gyro combo(fries are out of this world) and Baklava for dessert! Inside is very clean and employees are always friendly.

I get ahmo’s for delivery to the district library, they always deliver in a timely fashion! Sometimes by the time I receive it, it has cooled somewhat its but still good in a pinch.

The food was decent, the meat was dry and old. The prices were somewhat high for the amount of meat given and the cashier and food prep employee was rude. Will not be back. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, but there was not enough tzatziki sauce on my chicken gyro.

Good food. I usually go for the kafka special which comes with plentiful serving of quality salad, rice, veggies and of course the kafka meat. I don’t even know what or how kafka is made but it’s so good I never even bothered to look it up! Their prices are fair and serving is large. And of course their gyros are very yummy too.

Despite the cleanliness of the eating space and friendliness of the host at the cash register, this was pretty nasty food from the one dish I tried. Because I only tried one dish, I can’t completely ding this place and give it only one star, but my «feisty» gyro was so feisty it smelled and tasted of regurgitated baby formula(or worse)… I have never had a taste of a food before that so much tasted like soured milk(aka vomit). I think it was a mix of finely ground feta chunks, some red liquid(tomatoes??), and spices. Unfortunately, it looked like vomit too. The gyro meat was ok, if a little greasy, as was the gyro bread. There were two thin half slices of tomato and a few strands of fresh onion. I’m sure there are other dishes here that are better, but no way am I trying«feisty» again, let alone anything else at Ahmo’s on my brief trip to Ann Arbor. Also… no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom… I was hoping for a fresh, full sprinkling of tomato, onion, tzatiki(which, by the way, had a weird consistency and sweetness, like a dollop of vanilla Yoplait with some dried dill in it…)

I have never been disappointed. From the cool, friendly guys behind the counter and grill, to the nice selection of daily specials. I’m not big on french fries but they definitely have me loving fries from this joint. The food is simply delicious. Great location also. I dine here at least once or twice a month.

Ahmo’s sucks. There isn’t one time that I placed an order for delivery and something was not missing. Because it happens every time, it makes me wonder if it’s intentional. Can you imagine? $ 2 here, $ 4 there, multiplied times the number of customers whose order they forget to completely fill and who don’t bother to let them know part of their order was missing. Then, when you call them to let them know that all of your order isn’t there, they don’t want to deliver it. What kind of customer service is this? It’s incomprehensible how Ahmo’s is okay with taking customers’ money and not delivering what the customer has paid for. I had not ordered in almost one year for this same reason. I was thinking maybe something had changed. Boy was I wrong. Shame on me. When you know better, you do better.

The Ahmo’s Gyro is my go to favorite here. The combo with fries and a drink is the perfect blend of quality and price. Their sauce is not very traditional, but loaded with flavor. The french fries are amazing and a must try no matter what you’re getting on the menu. The food is good, but not outstanding. The real kicker with this place is the usual unfriendly service. I can’t remember a time I went in here and felt like I wasn’t a bother to the guy behind the counter.

I feel like I’d give Ahmo’s 3.5 stars, but I’m not ready to commit to 4 stars. Ahmo’s catered a meeting I attended, and it was good. The greek salad was so beautiful and full of veggies – peppers, beets, onions, olives – and the dressing that was served on the side tasted homemade. I had a lamb gyro and liked that, too. The meat was well-seasoned and flavorful. Everything was presented well, and I’m sure we will utilize Ahmo’s again because they are reasonably priced.

Food was good but not outstanding. The service was okay. The place was clean. I would go back but won’t come out of my way to eat here.

Ahmo’s is pretty awesome, I must say! Plenty of parking, and it may not look like much from the outside(and maybe not much from the inside either), but it was a lot of good food for a good price! I got the chicken kabob plate, which game with like 2 portions of sliced chicken, 1 portion of this yummy rice that had lentil/onion/yum spice in it, a medium sized salad with a lot of toppings, annnd pita bread. Yay for leftovers :) I also noticed they had funny things, like«pastrami pita», but also classic american things, like mozzarella sticks and burgers. They also carry Stucci’s ice cream. Overall, a nice place down the road :)

Had Ahmo’s for lunch on Saturday and I have to say I liked it! I got the Ahmo’s Gyro Combo take-out and I thought that it was prepared fast and friendly. The gyro could have had a bit more sauce on it but it certainly wasn’t dry. The fries stayed crispy after the drive home and did not get soggy which surpised me(pleasantly so). For $ 7.49, it was a good lunch. I’d definitely go again!

Seeing as how I work only a 10 – 15 minute drive from here, I’m surprised I never really thought to go here on my half hour lunch break. From time to time I get a Meditterean food craving ever since I used to work 5 minutes from Mr. Kabob in Berkley(which btw, is my favorite Mediterrean place in metro-Detroit, even after sampling Dearborn places). But I digress, Ahmo’s on Stone School isn’t very classy, it’s basically an extension of the party store that’s next door, but the food is fresh and hot and fast. I ordered a Chicken Pita Special combo that came with a Chicken Pita, fries, and a fountain drink for about $ 7. It was fabulous. The chicken pita was grilled, hot, fresh, and the pita bread was soft, chewy and warm. I got garlic sauce on the side and it wasn’t the same white garlic sauce that I was expecting, but sort of a garlic-y mustard sauce to dip the fries in and spread on the sandwich. If it was a quality white garlic sauce, this would’ve been a five star meal for me as it would have definitely quelled my chicken schwarma cravings. Fries were hot and seasoned well. Good food, fresh and fast, and not fast food. It’s all i could really ask for for a 30 minute lunch.

Food is good. But the service is awful. The guy who takes the order has way too much attitude and behaves as if he is doing me a favor by giving me my food! Service is a complete turn off

This place never fails to deliver. I have been to all three locations and have never once received anything close to bad food or service. When living on the West side, I frequented the Dexter Rd location, which is small and mainly take out or delivery. They were ALWAYS so nice. They always offered up coupons and discounts without me asking, as well as made great food recommendations. The Stone School Rd. location is right next to my work. They are always coming in with great deals for us. I(sadly) have started recognizing the friendly faces there. If you call ahead with an order it will be ready in 5 minutes and you are in and out the door. My personal favorite: the Feisty Gyro. Its a regular gyro with spicy marinated feta cheese on it, it’s truly to die for. They also have the best Fattoush around town! 5 stars!

Ahmo’s advertises itself as the best Gyros in the area. The claim is not far off the mark. There was a coupon in the Clipper magazine for 3 Gyros for 10.99 that I was unable to resist so I visited the Ahmo’s on Stone School Road with my parents. I was not impressed with the interior at all, it is vaguely like a casual restaurant planted in the middle of a gas station convenience store. The plus side is you can conceivably have any beverage you ever imagined with your meal as it can be found in the numerous refrigerator cases. The tables were fine and the chairs comfy but the resulting ambiance was considerably déclassé. The food was surprisingly fresh and tasty. My father and I had the original Gyro which was lovely. The cucumber sauce was too thin but very flavorful. There was plenty of meat and there seemed to be quite nice tomatoes and onion on it, not too many so you really noticed the lamb and beef flavors. The pita was puffy and beautifully warm. They also have a Fiesty Gyro which is the same but with added spicy style feta cheese. My mother ate the Ahmo’s Gyro which included chicken and lettuce to the original but used a garlic dressing rather than cucumber sauce, she really liked it. The greek salad was full of super fresh lettuce, clearly not out of a bag. The dressing was quite zesty rather than the sweet dressing which you find a lot of places. I was disappointed with the veggie selection in that there was not a beet to be seen but the olives were excellent and there was a ton of delicious feta cheese. They have some great looking and reasonably priced combos that I will be returning to sample, including a hummus with meat, rice, pita and salad for 7.99. If you are not looking for atmosphere but rather a quick bite with some healthier options(not that I took advantage) then Ahmo’s may be the place for you. They have two locations, both in Ann Arbor.
