Specialties
In the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, just 20 minutes from whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, there’s an old stone building with bars on the windows that overlooks our small vineyards. Legend has it that the local lawman locked up the hooligans here to cool down until they went before the magistrate. Now we use the jailhouse to incarcerate our wines.
As you enter the tiny Calaboose, you will begin your tour of the smallest winery in the state. The Warden’s Wife will pour a wide array of wines both dry and sweet. The tour continues on our crush pad (and brew house) out on the deck.
We’re also the smallest brewery in the state! The Warden’s Wife will always have three beers on tap for you to sample and buy by the pint or growler.
Come and relax on our Rockyard Patio and enjoy the beauty of the prettiest valley in the state!
History
Established in 2007.
