VCA PineRidge Animal Hospital

I have been going to this vet for about 10 years. I really liked them at the beginning. The vet exams were very thorough and you didn’t feel like they were rushing to see the next animal. They would ask questions about my dog to help with the yearly evaluation. At the end of the exam, they would give you checklist of all the areas they evaluated. As the years have gone by, the have lessened what they do and increased their prices. During my last visit a few months ago, they didn’t take my dog’s temp (which they normally always did), they didn’t look at the ears, eyes, teeth, hind area, etc. Not sure what I really paid for with that visit, but I was charged greatly. The vet techs are really nice and were always good with my dogs. The vets always seemed rushed and do not want to answer questions during the vist. You spend way more time with the techs than the vets. I’ve since changed to another vet, who will spend time answering my questions and does a much better job during evaluations. I used to recommend them at the beginning, but would not recommend them to anybody at this point.

I have a 15-​year-​old cat that we have been taking to Pine Ridge since they were in their old location off of Round Lake Boulevard in Andover. The «new» location which opened up at least 10 years ago now is nicer than most human clinics. It is clean, with no smell, is nicely kept with tasteful decorating and has a real homey feel. There is of course a resident cat and a fish tank and the staff are friendly and accomodating. This place also does hospital work for animals. I’d recommend it to any pet owner in the Andover/​Anoka/​Coon Rapids/​Ham Lake area.
