I’ve had takeout there several times. Tonight’s chicken and broccoli order included a hair in it. When I called they refused to just give me a credit to my credit card and wanted me to come back there. Frankly, their food has always been mediocre, so this puts me over the edge. There are better, and apparently cleaner, options with better service too.

Not a fan. My parents live in Andover and goes here for the convenience(I much prefer Lee Chen). Everything is covered in a brown haze and is generally tasteless Chinese. The chicken is often dried out and the pork fried rice has chewy inedible pieces of pork. They seem nice and really wish I could leave a better review but I’ve just eaten here so much and it’s always the same experience.

Yuck. I got the lunch special. I’m not sure what was in the egg roll. Seriously. I could not finish it. The sweet and sour chicken was deep fried generic chicken bits. Greasy and over breaded. The sauce came straight out of a gallon jug. Diner beware.

I really like this place, because they always have the hottest and freshest way of cooking. I am Chinese, so I am looking for«Wok Air»(that means correct temperature in English I guess?)whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant. Peking Garden definitely has that, that’s why I have been there going for years. Staffs are friendly, but they occasionally could get frustrated when there are tons and tons of orders. It is a great place for some comfort and warm Chinese food. They don’t accept American Express though, so you have to pay attention.

I chose to order here because of the positive reviews, and two of the three items I ordered were good. The egg foo young was perhaps a bit less greasy than some, and was full of meat and vegetables although not at all crispy on the outside. The wonton soup had a good flavor, although the noodles were very much in pieces. But the General Tso’s chicken was a disaster. Clearly, it had sat in a steam stable for hours — the coating was very soggy and separating from the chicken and the broccoli in the dish was almost grey and very limp although the sauce was good. Thinking about this, I realized that likely all three foods had sat for a long while(surprising at 7PM on a Wednesday night), which was likely also the reason for the limp/soggy egg foo young and the wontons being in pieces. Unless you are certain you are ordering a meal that keeps well for hours, I would recommend going elsewhere such as Lee Chen in N. Andover. We actually threw away the chicken, it was that bad. When does anyone throw away leftover chinese food???

I have eaten here for many years. When I first moved to the area 9 years I struggled to find Chinese food that was even remotely close to Kowloon. This place is clean and the food is always fresh and delicious.

I have eaten here more times than I can count. The food is consistently excellent, and I am always impressed with any new dish I try. The prices are reasonable, and their hours are great.

Awful!!! Dried out meat. Tried this place three times. I wanted to give it a chance because I live in andover but never ever eat here. Each time I got something different and each time was equally bad.

This place was EXTREMELY disappointing. I ordered the house fried rice, boneless spare ribs, crab rangoon, and beef teriyaki. The food was tasteless and greasy. Avoid this place at all costs.

Disappointed with the food here overall. Enjoyed the spring rolls and dumplings, fried rice was passable, but the orange chicken was barely edible.

Can’t say I’d ever try them again. Almost 24 hours after eating their takeout, I still feel sick from the food. I’m not saying food poisoning but just really the greasiest most tasteless Chinese food I’ve had. Maybe just an off night for them but I just can’t go back.

The worst thing about this place is the parking lot and how everything’s configured for access and egress. However, the food is pretty darned good — and the staff accommodating. Any time that we have asked for no MSG, they’ve stepped up and taken care of it. The appetizers have always been strong, and with the other dishes we’ve historically ordered — be it lo mein, chow yoke, or some of the other faire — it’s always been pretty darned good. Overall, a pretty strong Asian experience, and we’ll continue to hit this place every few weeks.

Located in a small strip plaza with free customer parking, about one block east of Main Street, which is a bit tricky to drive to due to the one way streets. The place is a typical Chinese takeout restaurant with an open kitchen and a few tables for eating in. I stopped here for lunch takeout recently and ordered the Lunch Special 1($ 5.75): Egg Roll, Pork Egg Foo Yong, and Pork Fried Rice. The service was very prompt and the good portion of hot food was ready to go in about 5 minutes after ordering. The pork fried rice(light brown color) had a soft texture with onions, sprouts, and chunks of chewy pork rib pieces. The egg foo yong had a smooth creamy texture inside with onions, sprouts, & pork inside and topped with plenty of brown gravy. The egg roll was crispy and not too greasy. The food overall was decent tasting and reasonably priced.

Not from Andover, but will make the trip there to eat the food. Love this place, it’s so fresh, and the place is clean. Love the open kitchen. Very good quality, best chicken wings I probably ever had. Nice staff too, readers/people PLEASE remember what you may consider the staff as rude, it’s their culture and they own a business. If you’ve ever worked in the food industry you would know it’s very fast paced environment. If you’ve have never then you should try and then you will have an appreciation of the staff and see what they go through day in and day out. They are there to turn over a quick and fast service. They are only responding to us RUDE Americans. We Americans are demanding, unfriendly and feel we are«entitled» so they are just responding to us. Remember that the next time you visit a food establishment :)

I just ordered this food for delivery at 8:30 tonight. It arrived an hour later — kind of long for Chinese delivery. The fact that this is the worst Chinese food I have ever had prompted me to write this review. What a horror is the only way to describe the food. The egg drop soup was gray instead of the usual yellow/buttery color. It tasted like nothing. The chicken and broccoli was a similar grayish color. The chicken was overcooked and extremely chewy. The sauce was watery and bland. My husband ordered chicken chop suey which also look gray and he agreed it was the worst Chinese food he’s ever had. I would NOT recommend this place — it was simply awful. We have a ton of leftovers but I wouldn’t even give them to my dogs — they deserve much better!

The food is good. The price is higher than average . The service is below average. The young Chinese felolw man who takes order is unfreindly, speaks fast and when misteak occurs, he blames it on a customer.

We have seen this restaurant for a while but never actually got around to trying it until New Year’s Eve. The food was good. We tried Sesame Scallops for the first time which were exceptional. The Pu Pu Platter for 2 was massive and fed 4 of us easily with leftovers. The staff was nice both on the phone and in person. This place is always swamped. We go to the Domino’s next door and there is always a crowd at both places. The prices are reasonable. The parking is tricky and is shared with 4 other restaurants in the same lot.

If you want quick, very tastey chinese food then order here. Not a restaurant I would sit and enjoy my meal — this is a take out/delivery only deal for me. If you want good chinese food and atmosphere check out Lee Chen in Lawrence, MA.(North Andover border, by Market Basket/TJ Maxx shopping center)

Great food(although, it can be very greasy). Huge portions. Fast and friendly delivery service. It can get a bit pricey though. I typically spend about $ 40 each time I order for 3 – 4 people. They also have a great lunch menu with smaller portions(that are still huge!)
