I can’t say enough about Cristina’s. Honestly, they saved my dress and gave me a much needed and wonderful dress experience!
I came to Cristina’s distraught because the bridal gown that I had bought in VA with my mom was the wrong length and was sizes to small. The dress store in VA was unable to fix this problem, as they closed their doors in the middle of the night – owner fled and left brides (including myself) in turmoil.
Cristina and Steve, the owners of Cristina’s, went to bat for me. They called the designer of the dress, found extra lace to fix the dress and put their head seamstress on the job. While I inevitably, bought a new version of the same gown at their store, they went above and beyond to help me. My dress from Cristina’s fit like a dream thanks to their team. Please, do yourselves a favor and come here first! I wish I had!

I’m in a wedding where the rest of the bridal party is located in NYC. Christina’s was one of the few places around that had the particular Watters dress we were looking for in stock, so we stopped by tonight to quickly try it on. While the woman at the desk didn’t seem super friendly, Lorraine brought us right downstairs where the bridesmaids dresses are located. She pulled the particular dress we were looking for and was extremely helpful in measuring and suggesting which size would be best. I would definitely recommend the store for anyone in the market for bridal dresses!

I had a great experience shopping here, even though I didn’t end up purchasing my dress from Cristina’s. I worked with Cristina and she was incredibly helpful and sweet and made me feel beautiful. Her dresses are beautiful and she has a great selection as well as a good eye for what looks good on a bride. Definitely the best dress shopping experience I had.

Amazing experience. I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like and I showed Donna, so she had me try on dresses in that shape. Turns out, I didn’t like the shape on me at all! She was great at figuring out what I liked and eliminating dresses I wouldn’t like (what a relief) and was so great with accessories, etc. Steve helped me with the contract and pricing and they walked my sister downstairs for bridesmaids dresses. Such an easy way to dress shop!

My sister and I were causally strolling the streets of dtown Andover on a weekday and on a whim we decided to check out Cristina’s as we were looking for a particular designer wedding dress. As we walked in we were greeted with a sales rep who asked if we had an appointment and we replied no. She went on and on about the importance of having an appointment. OK WE GET IT. Then she asked what we were looking for and my sister stated «I’m looking for a certain Jim hjelm wedding dress.» The rep responded in the most condescending way «Oh you mean wedding GOWN.» We both brushed it off and knew what type of service was ahead for us. As we were led upstairs to an empty store of customers there were plenty of GOWNS to look at and try on, but they didn’t have the particular dress my sister wanted. She tried on a different Jim hjelm dress however she wanted to find the other dress elsewhere so we left. Store is filled with beautiful dresses but service is pretentious. gOod luck.

I had a great experience here! I came in with a good idea of what I was looking for in a wedding gown. Christine helped me and did an amazing job at selecting gowns in the style I was looking for and stayed within my budget. In fact, she showed me some new gowns she thought would suit me and I ended up going with her suggestion. Christine is great fun to work with and is such a sweetheart!
I’ve also selected my bridesmaids dresses here… nice variety of dresses. I had pics of what I was looking for to narrow things down. My bridesmaids and I worked with Kelly and Lenore and both were so great! Lenore is so fabulous and went out of her way to find the perfect style/​color dress for one of my bridesmaids. The next step is to pick out a dress for my mom! I’ll definitely come here for her dress as well.
This shop truly fulfilled my needs and the staff exceeded my expectations!!!

There were so many dresses in my price range and I could go through the racks and pick what I wanted to try on. The shop was very pretty. It may only be my second shop so far, but my sister visited 7 for her wedding and said this shop was awesome.

I had a great experience here while shopping for my wedding dress. Taryn is the best, she was so helpful and so patient. They have a HUGE selection of beautiful dresses and at many different price points.
Even though I did not end up getting my dress here, I had a great experience both times that I went there and would highly recommend them (Taryn especially!) to brides looking for their dress!

Nice people. Was able to find an affordable dress for my wedding. They were good with my time frame, but def seem to cater to wealthier folks. Oh well, I made out great!

I found my beautiful wedding dress at Cristina’s. My consultant was very patient with me and my party of 4. Since my family couldn’t be there, I was facetiming them and trying to evaluate all my options… basically I was not the easiest bride to deal with! I ended up choosing a dress that was totally not what I thought I wanted and I was so glad to have the supportive staff to help me decide. Nobody pressured me and they helped me try on lots of veils and accessories. My dress was well within my budget and I’ve been so happy with my decision to shop at Cristina’s. Prior to coming to Cristina’s, I was a little concerned about all of the grumpy reviews on here. I’m glad I didn’t pay attention to them — I had a great experience and customer service!

Staff is so friendly and wonderful! I even met the owner, Cristina, and chatted with her. Lovely gowns. They are the only bridal shop that carries Hayley Paige in Massachusetts. Highly recommend buying a gown here.

I just left Christina’s and would be remiss if I didn’t write a review. I am a transplant to MA from CA and I don’t have any friends and family to accompany me on my search for a bridal gown. I have visited three boutiques prior and they all pale in comparison to Cristina’s. Upon entering I was greeted enthusiastically by the owner, her husband, their daughter, and my consultant Liz. We exchanged pleasantries and they took a vested interest in me as a person before getting to know me as a consumer. Liz was PHENOMENAL. She is extremely personable, remained mindful of my price point, kind, and very patient.
Cristina’s is a beautifully appointed mutli-​level salon and I silently wondered if there was anything in my price point. Liz blew my mind when she showed me a gown (that I am still obsessing over) that is 60% under my budget. I did not make a purchase today because I struggle with making such a large and important purchase without mulling it over. That being said, I will GLADLY give Cristina’s my business when I make my final decision within the next month or so. Their customer service and genuineness is head and shoulders above other boutiques that I have visited. I left in such a great mood. This experience was everything that I dreamed it would be but didn’t expect because my previous dress shopping experiences were so blasé. Please, consider Cristina’s when you are deciding where to shop for your gown and your wedding party attire.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was recently a bridesmaid in my cousin’s wedding so we got our dresses for here. From the first day I stepped into that place it was a horrible experience. When we tried dresses on, a saleswoman Liz was huffing and puffing at me and another bridesmaid for leaving a dress on a floor in a fitting room and talking behind our backs to another worker. When they ordered the dress it was 2x too big as I said it would be. When I came for alterations I was swimming in the dress and seamstress said it’s the way the dress was supposed to fit! And basically refused to alter the way I wanted, gave me and my mother a very hard time. If that wasn’t enough, it caused the whole staff there to basically bully me and my mother. One staff member I noticed was the owner and she was literally raising her voice saying that’s she knows the dresses. Excuse me, but if you are not wearing the dress how do you know how comfortable it is or how it fits? I was shocked to see the owner act this way to a customer! I had never seen anything like it before. I was in shock of this behavior. When I came for my second fitting it was the same thing alllllll over again, I couldn’t believe it. This time, a saleswoman LiZ basically told me if my dress were too tight or didn’t fit it would be my fault because «I wanted it soooo tight» ! I am the customer and what I wanted was for the dress to FIT me the way it was supposed to. She gave me attitude the whole time and talked back to me and my mother. I am sorry, but there are some people who should not be in customer service and she is one of them. Please ladies think twice about going here, it isn’t worth it. Their Dress selection is not even good. The shop is just in a good location that is it, try Abby’s down the street, you will me much happier. If I could prevent one person from what I went through with them, I’ll be so happy. Another thing is me and my sister will be engaged soon and had we had a good

I shopped all over, and then found my «mother of the groom» dress at Christina’s. The dress was perfect, and the seamstress was fabulous. My only negative was the sales person I had there, who seemed a bit distracted and/​or lazy. I actually found the dress on the rack myself when she said we had exhausted the possibilities. I asked for a different sales person on my second visit when I decided about the dress, and she couldn’t have been more helpful. They even matched the price I found online, which was slightly less expensive.
You don’t go to Christina’s for a bargain, you go for selection and service if you are looking for a particularly special dress.
I am now returning for a dress for my second son’s wedding.

Mehhh… is a good way to describe this. I came to Cristina’s for my first-​ever wedding dress shopping experience. I live in California so I came with my mom while I was home for my cousin’s wedding.
I didn’t realize how not-​great my experience was until I had another, better shopping trip elsewhere.
We got to Cristina’s when they opened and everyone was very polite and welcoming. We were taken upstairs to a large room full of gowns and took a seat to discuss what I wanted. The attendant was very focused on budget. I understand that money is a big part of buying a dress. A lot of gowns are insanely expensive and you wouldn’t want to try on a gown that you LOVE and find out it’s $ 4,000 over your budget. Having said that, I felt that my attendant was too focused on price. Being told something is out of my price range as I’m just flipping through a rack makes me feel like a peasant.
The main room of the second floor is mostly gowns over $ 2,000. As my mom and I walked to each section, the attendant would tell us, «oh, those are all over $ 2,000, but these over here aren’t.» It IS possible to find a dress out of your price range and just pick out the detail that you like, without trying it on. Being my first dress shopping trip, I wanted to look at everything available.
We were told to pick out 4 dresses. Most of the ones I found were in the secondary room which was where the lower-​priced gowns were held. I found a few there and tried them on.
Each gown was nice and I picked out what I liked and didn’t like. One part about the whole experience that I did like was that she realized what I liked from all the dresses and remembered a gown that someone else had ordered in to try on and didn’t like. I did love the dress and contemplated getting it, but my mom wanted me to go elsewhere, just to see what was out there, and I’m glad I did because once I said I wasn’t going to get it that day I felt VERY pressured. The attendant was very pushy about trying to get me to commit.
During the session there was another issue, too. The pedestal we were using apparently had some carpet missing from a corner. Not only did it seem to tear one of the dresses, but it also took a giant chunk out of my toe. Fortunately my mom got my toe bandaged up before I got blood on anything. Our attendant called downstairs and asked someone to bring up something to patch the carpet. Instead, a guy named Steve came up with a bandaid… His solution for the stand was just to turn it. I was surprised at this considering how high-​end this store seemingly was.
As I was leaving, I ran into Crisitina who asked me if I had found a gown and I told her that I did but I would be going to other appointments and would possibly come back. Her immediate response was, «well dresses go out of style. Some stay around for a few years, some for only a year. These DESIGNER dresses aren’t always available.» I found this extremely pretentious and told her that I wouldn’t be waiting that long if I did decide on the dress. Her response was to ask if they took measurements, to which I said no. I felt so uncomfortable with this interaction that I actually chose to wait out in the rain for my mom to pull around then to stay inside and listen to her tell me about DESIGNER gowns. I’m not a designer kind of person. I like easy, simple, and off-​the-​rack if I can.
Another thing that irked me was how often the attendant kept saying, «you won’t find this many gowns ANYWHERE else.» I’m sure she has pride for the store, but she was so condescending about it. Like if we shopped somewhere else, we weren’t going to find the right dress because Christina’s had SO MANY more. More dresses doesn’t mean the right one is available.
Later in the weekend I went to another store and had the whole place to myself. The attendant was wonderful, didn’t even mention price unless I asked (but stuck to my budget that I had mentioned in an email before visiting the store), and encouraged me to try on as many dresses as I liked (not just four). THAT was how a dress shopping experience should go.

The staff is so nice and extremely helpful — they spent over an hour with the bridesmaids trying on dress after dress and offering honest opinion.
However, the prices are extremely over priced. The dress I chose was $ 240 in the store… I found it for $ 125 at a reputable online retailer.

My fiancée and I, breaking all traditions were dress shopping, all over the northshore and we went here and were instantly sold on the friendly staff and huge selection. Deb was so helpful and knew her inventory like the back of her hand. We ended up buying a beautiful Maggie Sottero for a reasonable price.

After searching everywhere for a dress, I said «yes to the dress» here! I also was lucky enough to find the perfect bridesmaid dresses. Sales associate, Kelly, was so sweet and attentive to my girls. The owners, Steve and Cristina, were very welcoming. I was worried because I’m plus size, but the seamstress Linda was so on point! They even offer a discount for the tux place downstairs! So convenient! Recommend Cristina’s to all brides!!!

I love Cristina’s! My first appointment was on a weekday afternoon so I had the bridal boutique to myself. I was paired with Deborah who has been in the business for over 20 years, and she was my angel! I had been to other bridal boutiques and never got the quality of service I was looking for. I work for Nordstrom– I’m all about the customer experience! Deb sat me down and asked all the right questions. Since I had tried on gowns before, she let me grab the ones I thought would be right. Once we were in the dressing room she told me to try on the one I liked the most first, which turned out to be THE dress! I tried on all of the other dresses I brought it, but nothing else even came close. Deb then clamped the front of the dress so that I would know how the back would look like, something no one else had done.

Well I wish I would have paid more attention to the bad reviews. Please do not go here. I bought a dress off the rack and they kept it for repairs. Namely the clasp and the zipper were broken. When I picked it up weeks later, they tied a string through the broken zipper and just removed part of the clasp. When I picked it up I had them check and confirm the zipper had been fixed. The owner said, «yep, it’s fixed!» Nope, it’s not! There is a ribbon that hangs off the back… this is my wedding… and I could tie my own ribbon in place of a zipper.
The dress also smells of BO. Even the most affordable places will usually clean a sample dress after you buy it. (for example VOWS cleans any dress over $ 1,000). My dress was WELL over $ 1k. They never said they would clean it though, so that’s my problem I guess.
I was supposed to take this dress home with me this weekend and I’m so, so sad. They ruined such an exciting memory and moment for me.
I will warn everyone I know in person and on the WWW to avoid this place. Expensive dress and horrible service. Lots of nice places around, no need to mess with a place like this.
