Indy Scream Park

I’ve been a few times and I love this place! It’s massive and there are multiple attractions. I like the midway area. It’s nice to grab a beer or food and have a place to warm up. I’ve also seen some ‘sideshow’ type acts there, like fire breathers and dancers. You can also shoot some zombies with a paint ball gun! See sometime for everyone!

5 haunts in all that you can go thru as many times as you can in the allotted time (hope it’s not busy), they did a lot of yelling which wasn’t scary, it was annoying. A super fun DJ, you can paintball shoot zombies which was kinda cool, the food was over priced and the menu was minimal, the bon fires and the characters waking around were awesome, the fact that when we played the carnival ball game the operator blatantly told us not to forget to tip him seemed rude as heck to me, I don’t think it was worth $ 32 per person. The web site had a lower price advertised then the price at checkout. I called and they said they had to fix it… i think they should have given me the lower price since I called to complain. Overall, fun!

Who doesn’t love a haunted house? We had a great time at Indy scream park. I’m not sure why it’s called that because it’s in Anderson, but that’s okay.
Tickets are priced differently based on what day you go. We went on Thursday and payed $ 29 a piece. The lines were also quite short so that was a huge plus. There are five attractions and the midway.
First off, the midway is neat and there are scary people milling about. They mostly just take pictures with people. If you look particularly skittish they might mess with you. They serve beer, which is cool. The food is just ok. Lot of missed potential I think. There are some games as well but we didn’t play any. Lots of port a potties available, all of which were clean.
Black pool prison is their new attraction. It is interactive and was my least favorite. It offers the option of interacting with the actors. We did that and it just wasn’t scary to me. And there is so much smoke! I hope to see something new in its place next year.
Rage 3D is cool. If you are actually afraid of clowns do not even go near the line. It is very well done and I liked this one a lot. I want to tell you my favorite part but I hate to give it away.
Zombie land apocalypse is sweet as well. There is fire and school buses. Couple that with hillbilly zombies and you have something for everyone. Once again, trying not to give too much away but they put a lot of work into this one and it shows. Just remember if it looks real it probably is.
Back woods is a hike through the woods. They give you a glow stick. It’s so the actors can see you coming. So make someone else hold it. This one was my favorite. It’s also the longest. I wore flip flops an kind of regretted it by the time we were done. Don’t look at his daughter, that makes him mad.
Brickmore asylum was neat but could have been a little scarier. Don’t get me wrong, it’s super cool! Just weren’t as many actors trying to scare people when we went through. I will say there was a police officer going opposite of us when we went out and heard someone he grabbed one of the actors so that might have been the issue. Still cool though.
Overall this is well worth the admission price. It would be nice to see a little better quality food. Maybe burgers or something along those lines. Still a fantastic way to spend an October evening.

My son and I make it an annual event to visit «haunts» this time of year. I down loaded VIP tickets so we had no wait. Actors were pretty good in all attractions except for «backwoods». It was a nice walk after our 3 hr drive but hoped for more. Zombie land and Rage 3D was our favs. To many chain saws and old toilets! Lol

Had a great time last night: perfect weather and there weren’t so many people that the wait was crazy since it was Thursday. This was my fist time ever coming here and I was impressed by the «common area» they three fire pits to sit by and you can even buy s’mores to make in these fires. The food prices were average but I paid $ 4 for a drink which I found outrageous. They also offer «zombie paintball» where two actors with run around while you try and shoot at them but it’s an extra $ 7, among a few other games and a character sketch Artist. They had five attractions; zombies, back woods, asylum, 3D clowns, and an interactive prison. Maybe it was just because it was a Thursday but it seemed like the back woods attraction was a scarce on actors. Besides that I think they all did a great job and I will be returning again.

Don’t go the last Saturday before Halloween unless you want to wait over 2 hours in line for the 3 indoor haunts…
I have visited Indy Scream Park before and had a great time, but this year was just ruined because of the wait. Granted, I guess we should have arrived way earlier, but the wait was insane and really disappointing. They really need to come up with another way to get more people through. This haunted attraction is advertised as the best, so I would hope they could tweak the wait time and come up with alternate entrances, etc. Fingers crossed for improvements in the coming years!
The park itself is great! There are 3 indoor haunts: Brickmore Asylum, Bedlam 3D, and Nauchtmahr. And, 2 outdoor haunts: Infected and Backwoods. In the very middle of everything is the Midway where you can buy drinks, food, and sit around a few fire pits to get warm. The set up is great and perfect for a big group of friends.
My favorite haunt is Infected simply because of all the detail within the haunt. And, I’m thoroughly impressed with how everything is set up throughout each haunt, lots of time and planning!
My husband did comment how all those within the haunts that try to scare people, they always go for the females… now I get it, we scream and jump more than men, but sometimes the men want to be scared too… so, just a note for anyone reading that works for Indy Scream Park :)
All in all, impressive work, but the wait is just unacceptable.

An excellent young haunt that will hopefully keep growing and getting better. This year was my first visiting Indy Scream Park, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
The staff I spoke to told me the park was only about 4 years old, and for the age, they offered an amazing experience.
The highlight was their 3 indoor houses. They were all very well done with good sets, makeup and actors. The 2 outdoor attractions were also good, though one was ruined for us by other patrons who refused to walk and were impossible to get around.

A great attraction that is well worth the money. For the money you spend you get five haunts. They pay great attention to detail. We took a group of seven and we all had an awesome time. The actors deserve a huge round of applause for enthusiasm and dedication. We will definitely going to go back next year. We have been to a ton of haunts throughout the country and this one is pretty good

First off, I am NOT a fan of haunted houses but my husband wanted to go, so I went along. I have to admit that I did have a lot of fun (even though I’m pretty sure I closed my eyes through most of it). Brickmore was probably my favorite because of the shooting electricity everywhere at the very end. Bedlam was a lot of fun. It was like being a rave with a lot of scary people and clown. I don’t remember the name of the third indoor haunt but it was the scariest for me. I closed my eyes and let my husband lead me through.
After those we when to my favorite part, the midway. I had a few beers and ate some carnival food before we went to the outdoor haunts.
The outdoor haunts were really scary because they don’t put out a lot of lighting which means you are just walking though the wood or a corn maze at night and you can’t see what is coming.
Overall I had fun but the midway was my favorite part, even with the monsters walking around.

I have family in Ohio and this place lands almost half way between the two — I’ve been to Anderson a number of times and it was almost never for something as sweet as this (ahem, no offense Anderson University).
Anyways, I get why people are all ticked off about some of this stuff. You want top-​class and you pay the cash and there are surprises at the door. Read the reviews and the FAQ online, get the fact that there is a charge for parking, and then decide whether or not you want to check it out (if you can find the VIP Pass on their site, you can find the spot it says parking isn’t free).
Myself? It was well worth it. My wife is huge into this stuff (though she laughs it off, so I don’t think we’d be good judges of how scary it was). If you’re in the area, support this awesome scream-​fest. It’s legit.

Traveled too far and paid to much for 30 minutes of scare. The place was slow and only allows one time through. We bought V.I.P. Online because we were traveling an hour to get there and did not know what to expect.

I have seen some outstanding haunted attractions and I’ve seen some horrible ones. Unfortunately, this one falls to the side of horrible. I went on the Saturday after Halloween, the last night of operations. I thought the midway was ok and the paint ball zombies was definitely the highlight of the night. It’s always fun to shoot real people with paintballs and for $ 5 for $ 25 shots, that’s not bad. It’s too bad that this is the best part of the attractions. The two outdoor haunts are horrible. The wooded haunt (Backwoods) is laid out poorly and is a long way from one are to the other with nothing to see or make you feel uneasy in between other than being in the woods at night.
The other outdoor attraction (Infected) had us walk through a corn field from one tent to another. It was a cohesive theme of army tents initially until we made it to the house which would have for better inside of backwoods. 0 scares in either.
The indoor haunts suffered from being too open and didn’t make me feel uneasy at all. The asylum had very large hallways and ceilings. There was nothing but writing on the wall on between. The rooms were huge and did not have any pop outs or anything. The best one was Bedlam 3d. The painting inside was excellent.
Overall they don’t seem to know the recipe for horror: build anticipation, distract and scare. They failed to do all of that. I’m also disappointed that with as much as tickets are, they had some horribly built props that looked horribly fake, especially the cheap homemade pneumatics. Best one was in the 3d haunt but as someone else said, because our group caught up with the previous group, I saw everything before we got to it :(

First year going to Indy Scream Park. I was scared but the person I went with thought it was a little dull.
Parking for this event? WHY? Are we not spending enough money as it is between ticket price, online charge, fast pass? Especially since the road back there is so messed up. Would also loved to have seen a general sign pointing you in the right direction for 69 N or 69 S when exiting the park. Middle of nowhere Anderson in the pitch dark.. . would have liked a little help.
We opted for the outdoor haunts first since it was so cold out. We got there at 7:45pm and the Backwoods haunt still wasn’t open and we had to come back. The other outdoor haunt only had a 10 minute wait to get in (but we had fastpasses). My biggest complaint about both outdoor haunts was that it was so dark, no extra lighting or anything, that you couldn’t see any details about the haunts. You just knew you were in a dark room and some dark shape was coming at you.
We paid a few bucks for the zombie paintball where a few zombies come out towards you and you can hit them with paintballs. Wish there were a few more zombies but what you gonna do?
On to the indoor haunts.. . wasn’t a fan that you couldn’t pick which one you wanted to go into first. You have to go into them in a certain order. The exit for one is the entrance for the next and so on. I enjoyed the 3D blacklight one the best just because it was sensory overload. Not scary but you just have so much to take in.
The bonfire area was nice to sit and relax. We decided we were there on teenager night or something due to the music the DJ was playing. Freddy Kruger and Jason were dancing amongst the crowd when they weren’t taking pics with everyone which was fun to see.
Prob won’t visit again unless there are new haunts added. Be sure to wear warm clothes and shoes that can get muddy! Everyone walking on the same corn field path creates mud!

My daughter ‘n law can’t stop talking about the Indy Scream Park. She is not one to go to such attractions but this one is a favorite of her’s. Her sister lost her voice going through it! I know it’s been packed and long lines but heck, that’s what happens with a popular attraction. I hope everyone gets the same experience and enjoys it as much.

I made plans with my partner and a close friend to visit Indy Scream Park on Friday, October 25^th. We decided it would be in our best interest to arrive early to avoid the crowds. I visited their website prior to leaving to see if purchasing tickets online would save us some cash. They advertise that you can save $ 4 off general admission when purchasing online; however this is quite misleading as each online purchase also has a $ 2 surcharge. This left a bad taste in my mouth, so I just decided to pay in person.
We arrived around 6:30pm. Their website says that they open at 7pm. After paying $ 5 to park in a muddy field we made our way to the ticket booth. There were 6 people standing in the «online ticket» line and no one standing in the «general admission» line. One patron on the online ticket line explained that they were having connectivity issues and it would be a while for the online tickets. We proceeded to the general admission line. I was informed that they could not accept a credit/​debit card — cash only. Thankfully the others in my party covered for me. I was informed that there was an ATM onsite if I needed cash. In today’s world of wireless technology accepting plastic is so easy. Not sure why they made the decision to accept cash only — especially when the ticket price is $ 30. We were given the option to pay $ 10 additional to visit the attractions a second time. We declined.
The midway area is nice. They had some fires burning and it really set the scene for a great fall evening. I made my way to the beer vendor to grab a brew since we would be waiting for a few minutes. After standing there for a few minutes the lady behind the counter crassly explained that they were not open and it would be a while. Her delivery was rude. Ok, no beer for me.
We made our way into the 3 indoor haunts. We were one of the first people in line. The VIP line outnumbered the general admission line two times over. The attendant would let 3 groups of VIP in and then one group of general admission. Since there so few in general admission we still got to go through faster than if we had purchased a VIP ticket. If I had purchased a VIP ticket I would have been livid. They should have limited the amount of VIPs that they sell — very poor planning and business decision.
We really enjoyed the 3 indoor haunts. The actors really seemed to be enjoying scaring us and the effects were all well done. I especially liked the 3D black light effects — very cool.
We made our way to the 2 outdoor haunts. Several workers were congregated around a sign that said that they attractions did not open until dark. It was dark. We were informed that they would not be opening until around 8:00pm and that they were waiting on the actors to get into place. We lined up in front of the sign. These workers seemed very jaded and enjoyed what little authority they had over us. They were rude and lacked any customer service skills whatsoever. Several minutes later all of the actors walked by — ruining any surprise of what they looked like or what we could expect — lame. We were finally allowed to enter the corn maze. As others mentioned their timing was off — so we got to see all of the people in front of us get scared yet we were not scared at all. By the time we made it out of this haunt — «Infected» there were hundreds of people in line waiting. I was blown away by how many people were in line. At $ 30+ a pop these people are making some fat cash — enough cash to hire some workers that have manners. Workers were screaming to get into this line or that line for the last haunt — it was so dismal that we opted to leave and not attend the last haunt. As for going through again for the additional $ 10 — I don’t think it would have been possible due to the huge amount of people in line.
We love Halloween and haunts, but will not be attending this one again. For $ 30 I can drive another 30 minutes and visit Kings Island.

Total disappointment. First of all: Don’t buy your tickets online. Parking is $ 7 online but only $ 5 in person. The line to enter in person is shorter as well. I’m not sure why it takes so long to scan a barcode, but apparently it is rocket science. Secondly: They let WAY too many people go in at once without enough gaps between groups. There were absolutely no scares because you saw everything ahead of time. If you were in the back you saw everything happen and if you were in the front you saw it from the group ahead of you. You would be better off spending the money on some scary movie rentals, pizza, and beer at home with friends. Lastly: Why this is called «Indy» and not ANDERSON Scream Park is beyond me. It took us an hour to get there and we live in downtown Indy. Waste of gas and time. We won’t be back.

This has to be the worst. Started with parking. I paid for parking passes with my tickets. I paid 7 dollars for parking when parking was only 5 dollars in person. Next everyone bought VIP tickets. The lines for VIP were almost as long as the general admission. Then none of the 5 attractions were scary at all. They sent such large groups in that the people in the back saw everything ahead of them. Lastly, I bought elephant ears for all of us. They charged an 18 percent gratuity on every charge card purchase. Then you go to the next booth over for drinks and they don’t take cards. This was one totally lousy experience.

This year was my 2^nd year going. I was a bit disappointed this year. You pay a pretty penny to get into the attractions so I expect to see EVERYTHING I paid for. But the lines were outrageous! Was it scary? Eh… I will say it was much scarier the first time I went through the park. They didn’t do much to change it for this year. So if you have already been to Indy Scream Park I would search for other places.

Sucked once again Benjamin let us do it for free this time. And we still had some of the same problems. Haunts 1&2 improved and haunt 3 lady was rude and once sending people through when things are broke not scary Mayne 1 star…

SO MUCH SCREAMING AND EXCITEMENT AND SCREAMING.
Let me preface this by saying that I’m not really into the whole scary movies/​being scared «thing» anymore. Yet, I was quickly convinced into going to the Indy Scream Park with a couple of close friends. We had one of the best evenings running around and being scared; all while laughing hysterically.
The park had various «haunted areas.» This included a 3D room, a completely black maze, a corn maze, a walk (or sprint) through the woods and a few others. The 3D room was probably my favorite because it was a lot different than any other haunted spectacle I have experienced.
No, it wasn’t cheap to attend, but I guarantee you’ll get your money’s worth. It was the most Halloween-​ey thing I did this year … and I’m pleased.
