Gateway Association, Inc is a state licensed, national accredited childcare facility. We serve children ages 1 – 12 with and without special needs. Gateway provides developmentally appropriate activities to prepare children for success in school and life. Gateway accepts CCDF childcare vouchers, NACCRRA military funding, private pay through cash, check, money order, and credit cards. Respite care funds may also be utilized to pay for childcare services. Gateway Association, Inc also provides Respite Care Services. Respite Care is a family support program designed to provide short term, temporary care for the purpose of providing relief and time to the parent or primary caregiver of an individual with special needs.
History
Established in 1953.
Gateway Association, Inc. was founded as the Madison County United Cerebral Palsy Association. The focus of the agency grew to include services for children from birth to age 6 with various special needs; therefore the name was changed to Gateway Association, Inc. in 1985. Respite services that provide short term, temporary care for the purpose of providing relief and time to the parent or primary caregiver of an individual with special needs was added to Gateway’s programming in 1986. In 1999, the agency expanded services to welcome children of all abilities into the preschool program. In 2007, the agency again expanded services to include a full-day licensed childcare program that welcomes children of all abilities.
