History

Established in 2014.

Torchon Bistro is a restaurant born from a career-​long dream of Chef/​Owner Shana Whitlock. Shana is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, 2004.

Shana worked in a handful of restaurants in New York City and Boston including stagiere within a few highly regarded establishments in New York.

Her externship was completed in Nantucket, MA, working at the highly esteemed ‘American Seasons’.

Shana’s career started in Anchorage 17 years ago, working in the kitchens of some of Anchorage’s most celebrated restaurant’s.
