The Look

The owner of the store is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stopped by before they opened and she let us in. It is a very clean and professional store with a wide assortment of items, clothing and shoes. It is connected to a tattoo/​piercing shop.

Super cool store with something for everyone. The clothes reminded me of days gone past while living out my punk rock years – creepers, fleuvogs, Betsey Jonson. The clothes were great but maybe a little young for me. It was upstairs that I found some great lingerie! Leg Avenue corsets and waist clinchers – how great! Lots of adult novelties too. The staff was very friendly too. Without a doubt, I’ll be going back and will probably become a regular customer.

There is nothing to make a high schooler feel more bad ass than going to The Look. You’re surrounded by lingerie, hooker heels, condoms, blow up dolls, and questionable smoking devices. You’re trying to play it off as if this was normal for you to be here, but your giggles give you away. When I have kids, I plan on becoming very good friends with the workers of establishments such as these so I have an inkling of what my kids are up to.
You can find so many things that could make it a little awkward if found by your parents. Take for example, the «Pin the Macho on the Man» game I received for my birthday. That is not a family game. Or how about the tuxedo decorated man thong I bought as a gag gift for a friend? Edible panties? Body chocolate? I think you get the idea.
This place used to be the main attraction in the area of fun toys and gag gifts for things like bachelor/​ette parties, but the new place that opened up downtown is much bigger, cleaner, and doesn’t have as many scuzzy clients roaming around.
I’m keeping The Look at a high four stars for sheer good memories it provided growing up.
