History

Established in 2014.

Anchorage Arbor Care is teaming up with Alaska residents and pledging to adopt a more conscious attitude towards the affects we have on our environment. In addition to providing superior service, we also offer continuous support and education to each of our customers. With an eye on forestry and sustainability, our goal is to create a mutually beneficial relationship between our community and it’s trees.

Meet the Business Owner

Brad H.

Business Owner

Brad was born and raised in Colorado. In 2009, he moved to Juneau, Alaska to work for a tree-​based eco-​tourism company which instilled in him a strong desire to become an arborist. Three years later, he packed up and moved to Anchorage to pursue that goal. Since 2012, he has worked with multiple tree services, including a year-​and-​a-​half stint doing right of way clearance. While gaining valuable experience from each job, he noticed a trend in the attitudes of each company: removing trees was easier to bid, quicker to complete, and more profitable for large tree-​maintenance crews — even if it wasn’t necessary. In October of 2014, he decided to «go it alone» and attempt to create a tree care company with an emphasis on sustainability and education. The hope for this company was to be to reduce the amount of unnecessary removals in Anchorage and the surrounding areas while still providing superior tree care to it’s residents.
