Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. (the Center), a non-​profit organization contracted by the Municipality of Anchorage, manages the Center. The Center schedules space use in the building, provides production management and technical expertise, sells tickets, and provides services for more than 240,000 patrons who enjoy the facility annually.

History

Established in 1988.

The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, also known as the Center or the PAC, opened its doors to the public in 1988. The facility was built as part of Project 80’s, along with the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Egan Civic and Convention Center, Sullivan Arena and Z.J. Loussac Library. The 2013 – 2014 performance season marks the Center’s 25th Anniversary and along with celebrating this benchmark we are feverishly looking ahead to our next 25 years!
