This place is awesome. I am working across the street for the week and needed a quick bite to eat before work and ordered the vanilla latte and a slice of the mango cake. The mango cake was delicious and the coffee was just as good as you get in Seattle. It was so good I may go back and grab a second slice for lunch.

The only things worth getting here are the coffee and the mousse cakes– The mousse cakes are delicious and gourmet. Skip everything else. Disgusting soup– it was all mealy/grainy and super bland. Yuck!

I happened upon this little bakery on my way to the art gallery nextdoor one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the laidback coffeehouse vibe and nice employees. I had the mushroom quiche and a snickerdoodle cookie. While I probably wouldn’t return for that particular quiche, I would definitely have more cookies! To be fair, when I asked the girl working there which quiche I should go for she told me the mushroom one had a different texture. When I finally ate it I realized what she meant — it has a spongy texture — not what I was expecting but not terrible, either.

Delightful downtown bakery coffee gift shop is a fun stop for a snack. It’s snowing very lightly today, 29 degrees Fahrenheit so of course I ordered a scoop of Alaska blueberry ice cream which was creamy delicious! My friend devoured a chocolate croissant. Yummy snacks, and pleasant staffer. Upon our request, he detailed the changing menu, meant I’m sure to keep folks coming back for different goodies. I’m looking forward to trying the luscious looking cakes, like lemon, carrot and some chocolate mocha kind of monster delight. There’s a changing room for those who take along little tykes.

I had a slice of carrot cake, which was delicious. I also had a coconut bon bon which, likewise, was superb. I can’t wait to try more things at Alaska Cake Studio.

I stopped in today and picked up a Bananas Foster cake and a Raspberry hazelnut passion. I was so excited to try them, they were so beautifully decorated and everything in the shop looked amazing. I didn’t even care that I just spent $ 13 on two desserts, they had my inner fat kid drooling. Upon closer look, the Bananas Foster was ‘decorated’ with honey puffed wheat cereal(Smacks) and the inside was essentially an absurdly bright yellow banana pudding and taste more like a banana taffy taffy than a bananas foster. The Raspberry hazelnut passion was gorgeous, and the first bite made me cringe. It was so bitter, I had to wash the taste out with a glass of water. I thought maybe it might be the chocolate that it was coated in, so I tasted the filling, and was confused with the flavor. Granted it wasn’t bitter, but I didn’t taste raspberry or hazelnut as much as I hoped. I was sadly disappointed with my experience. I hope I came in on a bad day and their desserts are a treat for everyone else. I can’t say I’d be going back anytime soon.

Picked up some truffles while traveling for a special someone who enjoys chocolate. They’re good truffles. Seems like a fine enough shop, but the counter person wasn’t welcoming. Proficient unfriendly service which is out of place in friendly, bubbly Alaska.

This store has a wide range and assortment of cookies and cupcakes to choose from. The staff member was very helpful and patient with decision making. I got the Yukon Chocolate cupcake and the Strawberry Vanilla cupcake.

Cute shop and locally made aprons for purchase if you’re ready to go down the baking path. I picked up a few truffles, croissants, and a walnut bourbon tart. Things are on the higher end here, price-wise, so I’m not sure how many times I’ll go back for a $ 3 truffle. To be fair, this is a ‘cake’ place, but I was a little disappointed at the slim pickings for less sweet stuff, like croissants.

My friend very specifically orders a cake to feed 20 people, NO purple and NO buttercream — and for $ 125 gets a 9″ round cake. Too small for me to get a piece, but nobody liked it — and it had buttercream! Worst part was — the guy argues with my friend after she showed him the confirmed email & picture of what she wanted. Poorly done, all the way around.

All I can say is this was a horrible cake… first I paid 125.00 for a 9″ cake. I told them I needed the cake for a baby shower and that the mother hates buttercream. So we decided red velvet with cream cheese filling. I sent an email showing the colors that we will be using bright orange and hot pink. When I picked the cake up it was done in purple. The mother hates purple. I will say that they took the purple off and replaced with orange so that was ok… we cut the cake the inside was ok. but the outside icing was buttercream. the one thing she hates the most. Everyone couldn’t eat the cake because the icing was to sweet and one bite you would taste the cream cheese icing and then buttercream icing. Very disappointed and will not ever buy a cake from them again. I was way over charged for a velvet cake that was buttercream 9″ cake. Horrible cake for 125.00. Cake wasn’t worth 20.00

This place is on fleek. I mean the pastries are delicious. The atmosphere is very friendly. The aprons are cute af. I’d buy one just to have one. I tried the tiramisu, and it was on point. I’ve tried many different tiramisu pieces from several different place, and this buy far takes the cake. It’s right up there with a piece I’ve had from New River City Pizza in New River, Florida. It was fantastic. My friend got the fruit tart, and she said she had no complaints and that it was he best fruit tart she’s ever had. My sister got the Cookies and Cream cake piece(?) and she said it was perfect, and moist and that she would not hesitate to buy from them again. The employees are super kind, because even though it wasn’t necessary, the fruit tart had one piece of fruit fall off, which I guess«ruined it,» so she got it free. That was really nice and no big deal. If I wasn’t moving, I’d probably order an actual cake from them, these people are fantastic.

Really yummy treats, I like their truffle selection. The truffles are of the same caliber as modern dwellers. I come here for my afternoon cup of coffee if I’m working in downtown Anchorage. It is such a cute little place and ALL the staff including the owner are very kind to their customer base. They have cup cakes, cookies, brownies and specialty items — all which are very good. High quality ingredients and products. An Anchorage must if you have a sweet tooth.

This is a great place to stop by have a cup of quality coffee at a decent price and a fancy little dessert with friends. I went here last weekend with my best friend and we fell love with the aesthetic of the place but not the prices of the sweets. Even though a 16oz latte is only $ 3.50 for a small dessert it cost $ 6.50. I got the Pistachio Wonder and my friend got the Key Lime thing both of them tasted amazing and were very pretty to look at, I don’t like the idea of paying so much for a small sweet like that.

Wow, the wife and I haven’t visit this place in over a year, we used to love to stop in here on our road trips from Seward. I say wow because the place sure took a turn for the worse. Please let me explain. We just finish having an excellent Japenese dinner a few blocks away, afterwards we stopped in a few shops, did some gaulking at local goods and decided to duck in out of the cold for a cup of coffee and a nice hand made desert. Needless to say we were both disappointed. I order a cheese cake that was tuff and dry. The same could be said about my wife’s cake and the coffee was cold. That part still has me baffled, how do you make a fresh cup coffee using a espresso machine and it be cold. It looked like it might have even been instant coffee, the dark yet watery look. The young fella behind the counter spent most of his time holding up the counter than he did worrying if any of the customers were happy. My wife had to go back outside to read the special on the door because he didn’t know what it was. The Bill came to over $ 14 for two deserts and one cup of coffee, I would pay twice that if it was good. We looked around the place just before leavening and thought out load to ourselves, how do they pay their bills. It wouldn’t be from our patronage any more.

You want home made cake? And not just any home made cake, that homemade cake your grandma made and then sent you home to your parents on a sugar high? Then you’re gonna love this place! To be honest, the options are very limited since they make everything fresh and have their«seasons» but you will never go wrong with a what you choose. Everything cake related is simply perfect. I gave this place 4 stars and not 5 stars simply because I love to have a nice expreso with my cakes… And it didn’t deliver(sad face) But other than that, go check them out!

Super cute bakery with a ton of delicious looking goodies. Decided to get the tiramisu cake, banana chocolate cake, and a few bonbons. The tiramisu was a tad disappointing as it didn’t taste like tiramisu to me. it had an odd alcohol taste? Or maybe I just still have everything I consumed New Years Eve in my system…(oops, too much info?) The chocolate banana cake was a gift, so I didn’t get to try it, but even then I’m not really a fan of chocolate and banana. As for the bonbons, the first one was the coconut which I did NOT like. Next was the merlot one which was pretty good, as was the margarita one. Both tasted very rich in flavor and the chocolate-ness. The only thing I would’ve changed about them was the salt on top, I could do without those, but that’s not enough to make me not want them again. And lastly was the hazelnut one which was probably my favorite.

Great bakery with good vibes. I was expecting better hot beverages. I ordered a chai tea and it was like hot milk and water. I poured mine out and bought a beverage somewhere else. However, the desserts are great. Reason for any stars at all. I recommend the desserts. Not the beverages.
