Ordered the Menudo, outstanding! Some places will skimp on the meat but not this place, giant bowl just packed with meaty goodness. The only shame here is that it is to far from my normal stomping grounds or else I’d be here every weekend.

Read the reviews was not amazed. The torta was decent sized but the thing that ruined it was the guacamole. It was old and you can take it, like brownish in color and even the taste was gone. When I make guacamole and I have it in/out for days at least 4 days. Really ruined the flavor of the meat and the rest of the food. I had to scrape the guacamole off because it was making my food taste like crap. Overall okay but even the salsa bar was old they should replace their salsa and guacamole at least every two days.

I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was phenominal. The Americano with bacon was just what I have come to expect from a morning burrito. Comes with 3 eggs twnderly cooked with cheese and hash browns. The tortillas they used were super fresh and perfectly steamed. These bad boys are all made to order so they are always piping hot.(*except the bacon which they make a larger batch of to keep with demand.) Keep up the good work Taco Pronto you made a long time customer!

Ths is a great place to grab some quick, decent Mexican grub! The prices are good and they have a fresh salsa bar.

My Dads Mexican and my Moms white. I’ve been eating Chili verde my entire life and this was almost the worst! Too many tomatillo’s made the sauce bitter and good luck finding the green chili flavor. There were a couple of quarter sized chunks of pork in the burrito but the flavor was cooked out days before we got there, it was just filler. We also got a couple carnitas tacos and they were just as flavorless and dry as the pork in the burrito. We sat down at what appeared to clean tables but they were actually just shiny from the grease. I normally don’t leave negative feedback but my kids make much better Mexican food than this. All the places to eat in that area you would think they would try a bit harder. I’m giving 2 stars just because I would feel bad giving them 1.

I saw that the carne asada fries were popular so my boyfriend and I decided to try them as well as the cheese enchiladas. Super cheap in my opinion. We waited maybe 10 minutes max for our food, I thought that was super fast. When we got our food it looked great but the moment I took a bite of the carne asada fries i wasn’t to happy. The fries tasted like they were sitting out for along time. I would rather wait a long time for my food and have it be fresh then having it taste flat or stale. The enchiladas weren’t too bad but I wouldn’t get them again. I would have to say the rice was the best tasting one and the Coke to go with it. I recommend anyone who eats here make sure your food is fresh as it can be, because it’ll probably be disappointing in thee end or a waste of your money.

After reading the reviews regarding the slow service at Taco Pronto, I ordered my food for pick up. I chose the surf and turf burrito and the machaca wet burrito. The lady on the phone said it would take 10 – 15 minutes for the order to be ready. I arrived within the 15 minute time frame, and paid for my order, and my food still wasn’t ready. It was ready only after I prepared my salsa options for the road. However, the food here is really yummy. I think I found my new Mexican fast food joint. The downside was that the surf and turf burrito was a tad too salty – and this is coming from someone who always over-seasons food. My sister said that the machaca burrito didn’t have enough eggs in it, and the carnitas were slightly dry. I have a feeling I will be back soon… I want to try their lengua tacos and my sister wants to try their nachos.

Good stuff, not very«pronto» but great place to grab some good food. I love the chicken tacos, will try something else next time, perhaps the fish Friendly staff, great salsa bar, and if you ever want it there is a 6′ Burrito for your next party… feeds 20 secretaries or a couple of linebackers.

Not great, not terrible. Went for family lunch as we were in the mood for good tacos. Have had much better. Good service from lady at the counter but carne asada tacos lacked any real flavor and meat quality very average. Carne asada burrito was probably better than tacos. Doesn’t hold a candle to King Taco. Wish KT had more locations in OC.

We have passed by this place way too many times not to stop. Finally did and the food ended up satisfying my curiosity. My order was pretty clear. 1 lengua nachos, 1 carne asada nachos, 2 lengua tacos, 2 shredded beef tacos and a large drink. Did it take them long to make it? Well… maybe just a little. Not like we were starving or anything. However, we were the only customers. Nonetheless, everything was good. Tortilla chips, damn good! Nacho toppings and meats were excellent and my beef tacos were pure fire(in today’s terms, that means greeeaaatttt!). I do think I spent way too much money on food this first time around though, maybe $ 27 or $ 28 bucks. WTF did I order again? LOL. I like how we came here after work and had the place all to ourselves. Thanks to photos and tips from a couple of Unilocal buds, our decision to come here resulted in positive grub. Next time I’ll try to keep my visit under $ 20.

The food was super fresh but I had to wait a pretty long time for my food. I ordered the machaca burrito but it tasted quite dry. I would recommend ordering it wet as the sauce could have saved the meal. I only ate half and plan on putting salsa on it when I eat the rest. This place is an authentic Mexican restaurant and if you’re in the mood for that sort of food, I would say this is a pretty good option. I would suggest calling in your order ahead of time.

Visited her for the first time and it was just an average Mexican eatery. Good food and the lady who I ordered from was nice :)

The food here is delicious ! I come here to get my breakfast burritos and chilaquiles!!! It’s just around the corner from my home. It’s a very small place and not a lot of people know about it, it’s kind of hidden.

Was in the mood for a Torta and some taco’s. First — Torta; When you ask for No Onions on the phone, then again at the counter and they say ok, no onions, but then put guacamole on the torta which is packed with onions, kinda defeats the purpose. I would have gladly paid extra for just avocado, but assumed getting confirmation twice that there would be no onions. You know what they say about assume, makes an ASS out of U and ME. Then, one of the torta’s was burnt, and instead of just heating up another 50 cent Bolillo, they scraped the burnt part off… Second — Ordered tacos. 2 Lengua, 2 Al Pastor. Taco’s came completely dry, which is fine if they let you know so you can grab some salso, but to just wrap them up and not offer or notify you they are completely bare before you walk out the door does not make for a good experience. Additionally neither meat was all that great. Lastly — Horchata. Bland. Overall, nothing worse when you really have a craving for something particular and you get sub par results.

My search for amazing tacos continues. I work close to here and had my eye on it for a while and dipped in for lunch. Looking at the menu I noticed prices a little on the higher side for a hole in the wall place. Grabbed a lunch special that included 3 street tacos and a drink which ran me almost $ 6.00. My trio of tacos was pastor, carnitas, and nopales. I was happy to see nopales on the menu. Pastor had a good texture as some of the meat had a crispy char to it. Could of packed a little more flavor but still good. Carnitas was nothing to write home about. The star of the show was nopales which is cooked cactus. Stuff is really good and you don’t feel like a fat kid eating 3 of those tacos. It would go really well with a mixture of nopales and carne asada… hmmmm mental note? I would return here to branch out on some of their other items. They have a California Burrito that looks like it could slam your guts. Gotta come here though when I am not on my lunch break and have a Bohemia with my meal. It just washes Mexican food down so much better than soda. CHEERS!!!

I’ve passed by this place hundreds of times, and finally went in to check it out. It’s right on the Southeast corner of Lemon and Orangethorpe, in a tiny strip mall that boasts a nail salon and a couple other small businesses. The tacos here are a bit pricy at $ 2 each, but they have a $ 5 combo that includes three succulent tacos and a 16 ounce drink, so I thought that was pretty good. The lady at the counter was super nice, and we asked for two taco combos with everything, and decided to try the flan as well. They weren’t the greatest tacos ever, but they were still really tasty, especially if you went buck wild at the salsa bar like we did. The tacos were generously sized and very tasty, with no discernable gristle like we’ve had at other taco joints. The red sauce that comes on the tacos already is ok for those with virgin tastebuds. For the rest of us, the salsa bar is the saving grace. The flan was creamy and though I prefer my caramel to have a smokier flavor, this was still pretty decent. I look forward to returning to try the sopes next time! Bottled foreign & domestic beer is also available.
