Just grabbed a order to go, Linda took the order for our family. Amazing catering to our allergy limitations! She made sure all the staff was on board, and had the manager come out to double check our order. We will definitely be back! Great service, friendly staff. Rubios is a nice healthy place for our family!

Unexpected meat & hardened charcoal like meat bits in the grilled veggie burrito I ordered. Normally I am not offended by a tiny bit of meat but this had not only bits but chunks of meat! The sad part was when I encountered a ball of what tasted like charcoal! WTH? I had to spit out several mouthfuls of food. =| Fruit flavored unsweetened teas only tasted like plain tea. Interior: Relatively clean, spacious. Staff: Ok, quick. WC: Small, ladies room had multiple stalls & a baby changing table. Parking: Private lot only. Location: Walking distance to Honda Center, Angeles Stadium &ARCTIC.

Stopped in here for the first time. The guy who took my order was polite and helpful. I ordered the California Bowl and a bottle of water. Total was about $ 9.50. Very good. Plenty of parking and plenty of places to sit.

Not sure why this place has gotten subpar reviews. It’s very clean inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was prompt and tasted yummy as always from Rubios. My knock and the reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that there isn’t anywhere to change a baby. There isn’t a changing station in the men’s nor women’s bathroom, which is weird since it’s very close to Disneyland and you’d probably assume we’re not the only ones stopping in with a kid that wears diapers. Other than that this location was good.

I’m alway grabbing lunch or dinner here… Honestly I liked the food, however they always messed up my order. Perhaps today Tuesday 22nd, 2016 I ordered some fish tacos especial which comes with guacamole, instead I got the original. It’s pretty annoying because it’s not the first time. Since I’m on a schedule I don’t have time to go back and change my order. Good place just make sure you’re getting the right order.

Emily helped us and she was very sweet. Wonderful demeanor and not at all rushing when we were sitting there, pondering our order like we hadn’t just sat in line staring at the menu moments before. A kind smile is what can turn a rough day around for some, and she was it. Thanks again!

I love this Rubios. I come here 3 – 4 times a month on my bike ride along the Santa Ana River Trail. Great tasting, healthy food, and the friendliest customer service keep me coming back. Customer for life. Thank you for letting me bring my bike inside. JMRasta

Our only meal out in a restaurant this past weekend visiting family in OC. My sister first introduced me to Rubio’s a few years ago when she was impressed enough after an interview with the owner/founder(she’s a journalist for a trade publication in the fishing industry) and his philosophy on sustainability and best fishing practices. It’s better than your average fast food– it tastes fresher and lighter than any. I think owner did a great job with getting the Mexican beach experience down! Hubby and I started with the Cabo plate to share– Classic Grilled Shrimp Burrito(1) and The Original Fish Taco(1) served with«no-fried» pinto beans and lightly sea-salted chips. Plus an extra order of chips(free), cookie, and milk for the little one. I’m not really sure what we were thinking since it was 5pm and we hadn’t eaten since bfast. We quickly realized these were reasonable(not heavy) portions and we were going to require more– so I got another fish taco so hubs and I could each have one. Then hubby decided that he was still hungry and got another two fish tacos for himself. Great quick meal in between visiting family and spending a few hours at Disneyland(I DESERVED that sangria with my meal– Seriously!!!)

I drive out of my way to avoid this Rubio’s even though it’s location is extremely convenient for me. I’ve given them multiple chances but they always manage to mess up my order or(over)cook it poorly. Plus they are incredibly stingy with guac in their street tacos. The last visit I made to this location I couldn’t even see any guac underneath the overcooked steak. That’s a deal breaker.

I had their Mahi Mahi taco plate which came with two tacos, tortilla chips, and beans with cheese sprinkled on top. The Mahi Mahi wasn’t breaded and one of my tacos had a bit too much roasted corn on it. My boyfriend for the Mahi burrito and he commented that it was bigger than other Rubios’ burritos. Overal it was a decent lunch for something fast. The restaurant was clean and it wasn’t too packed. Our food came out in a timely manner and the cashier was friendly. It’s a bit hidden entrance wise because it’s located near the 57 freeway.

I’ve had Rubios before and most of the time it’s descent. This location is pretty nice, really calm and the employees are not standing around, however a couple of things I didn’t like. First an employee was taking the trash bin out through the front of the cash register and where people are eating, I thought that to be unsanitary. Second as where I was sitting theirs a door where you can eat outside and one of the employees was cleaning/spraying the window and all I would see is some of the cleaning spray next to my table, hence kind of near my plate. Overall, this place was nice, but I don’t think I’ll return unless it’s for a quick bite or I’ll take it to go.

I normally like Rubio’s and their food but this location is pretty terrible. Every time I walk in individuals are standing around doing nothing and when I place an order to go it can take 15 – 20 minutes to throw rice in a tortilla and call it a burrito. My second complaint is when you ask for something to be left out, such as «no beans please», it is almost like a double dog dare to throw as much of the unwanted product into my meal as possible. Yesterday this happened again, I specifically asked for no beans, double checked the receipt and watched as the emotionless individual aka«chef» threw together my burrito as if he was reenacting an argument with his X-wife. But there it was… the final stage… and here comes a mountainous wave of FREAKINGBLACKBEANS. I shrieked like Luke Skywalker finding out Vader was his Dad and my plea for help was completely ignored. Upon Pointing out the problem once the burrito was in my hands I watched as the same individual, now upset that I turned down his creation grabbed a plastic knife and scraped away the black beans. Now, I may not be the most intelligent person on the planet… But I could scrape the beans away… that thought process is not something I would have not utilized myself… But when I asked if I could get a new burrito since this one resembled Joan Rivers(to soon?). I was met with a sigh almost identical to when Scott Peterson lost his retrial… So I am now 20 minutes into a TO-GO order, I am out of time and I need to run! So I do not watch as my second burrito is assembled(MYFAULT)…as I get to my office and sit down to enjoy the fruit of my labor, I notice this is not going to be a fun experience… The wrapper is dripping sauce and is a total mess… I open this abominable creation to find a burrito that could have passed as a tostada. I dont mean to be rude but Helen Keller in a wind storm could have wrapped a better burrito… and she didnt even know what a burrito WAS… unfortunately I will probably still frequent this establishment it’s the only place to eat within grasp of the office, but the service is terrible, the food quality is terrible and the prices are high… 12 bucks for a burrito and a drink… BROWNBAGITIS.

Damn, it hurts to criticize any company but this one is particularly painful seeing that Rubio’s is headquartered in SD and I have A LOT of San Diego pride. Unfortunately my experience at this Rubio’s was just completely blown on so many levels. Seeing a Rubio’s when I got off the train early last week was a pleasant surprise and with a Subway, a pizza place and a Hooters as my other options, the choice was simple. I ordered the Cabo combo with an extra taco and two bottles of water to go since I needed to check into my hotel and meet up with my coworkers. I poured my sauces and patiently waited as a couple of the male employees screwed around with each other. I didn’t really care too much, it wasn’t busy and it’s not like they were servers — simply a few kids assembling orders on the counter to be retrieved. Well, I should have cared. It was one of these goofballs that assembled my order, which was ultimately bobbled. Upon arrival at the hotel I checked into my room and sat down to enjoy my lunch. I instantly realized that the two bottles of water weren’t in the bag but it appears this was an error during the ordering process since I was never charged for them anyway and the young lady taking my order probably just didn’t hear me. I attacked my burrito with a fury and seeing that it was small in comparison to what you’ll find at a taco shop it was devoured in a few quick bites — decent at best. Things got really frustrating when I decided to move onto my tacos and only found one of the two. I picked up the receipt saw that I was charged for multiple tacos and called in to see what went wrong. «Yeah, we had an extra taco so we know you didn’t get it. If you’d like to come back we’ll give it to you.» Well, I took an Über from Rubio’s to my hotel so that wasn’t an option and the real killer is that I was standing out front of Rubio’s for ten minutes while waiting to be picked up. They could have looked out the front window, easily seen me standing there and fixed this from the get-go. The solution was to «mail me something» since they aren’t able to perform any refunds without physically having my card and I wasn’t going to take another $ 15 roundtrip ride to fetch my rouge taco. It’s now been about a week and I haven’t seen anything so I’m guessing I fell victim to an empty promises since Amazon can ship me toothpaste in a day and my mailbox is still as empty as the promised taco. How funny would it be if an actual taco showed up on my doorstep? Okay, vent is over.

Came here for a quick bite right around dinner time and it was closed! I’ve been going to other Rubios for years and never expected this. They need to extend their dinner hours!!!

This is the closest Rubio’s for me for work so I’ve been quite a few times. Everyone is always really nice and extremely helpful whether you’re going in and ordering or calling in and ordering it. I’ve only had one bad experience when I ordered an Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito that came sans Shrimp but the burrito was still twice as big as normal so I got a good laugh out of that one. Their salsa is some of my favorite too. I’m just as excited to bust out the chips after I finish the burrito in order to get to the salsa. Prices are about average for this type of place(and these days, cheaper than a Fresca’s): $ 7-$ 9 for a burrito. It can get busy at lunch time(between 12 and 1) and the parking lot is kind of small so that can get a little hairy but otherwise, this is one of my favorite lunch stops and Rubio’s!

This place today was an epic fail. I called the order in and the guy quoted me 5 – 10 min to get two Ancho Shrimp Citrus burritos done. That makes sense. Obviously i called it in because its about to be lunch hour and im trying to avoid the lunch rush. When i got there, only one cashier and 8 people in line. OFF to a great start. Can someone go and help this nice girl out. She was trying her hardest to keep her cool and keep the line moving, thats managements fault. When i finally got up to her she was so friendly and quick, but not to my surprise my food was not ready. It had been 14 minutes already since i placed the phone call. She went and checked for my food to check if it was almost out and of course it wasnt. Another 4 – 5 minutes pass by and finally crystal the shift leader brings over my food. Poorly wrapped by the way. She made a joke about how poorly it was wrapped rather than apologizing for making me wait and not having my food ready. She was rattled like cage! I finally get back to work and taste the burrito. complete and utter disappointment. You can just tell the whole thing was rushed, and not done properly. I wont go here any more another one is not too far from my job if i get the hankering for some Rubios. Just a waste of money and time today.
