I really wanted to like this place since it’s the only phở place close to my job. The chicken was flavorless and the noodle texture seemed like day old microwaved noodles. The broth was okay.

Phở was good, broth was as expected. The person behind the counter was a nice kid who helped me pick out stuff he thought I might like. The TV is running a Firestick with streaming channels and the quality of the content is terrible. Several times the kid would have to put the stick back into the tv because it fell out losing the stream In the process. Spanish Cook seemed interesting considering it’s a PHO place. Not to often you see a Mexican Dude cooking Vietnamese food.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for over 4 years! The phở is amazing and the egg roles are sooo good! It’s family owned and I always feel like I’m treated like family here :) the owners are very attentive and make us feel very welcomed! Of course it takes a few minutes to get our food but that’s because it’s made fresh… I’ve had phở from other places and it’s nothing compared to this place :) if I can give it more stars I would!

By the time this review was written I had been to the restaurant at least ten times. Service: 9⁄10 Every time I go I’m greeted by one of two daughters or the father, who I assume owns the business. Every staff member I’ve met is considerate, even though it’s clear that the kids don’t necessarily want to be working every day. It doesn’t take long for the food to arrive, but then again I only order phở and thai tea. Food: 8⁄10 I always order the rare beef + tripe phở as it is my favorite. Even without sauce, the broth tastes great and is a mastered recipe. Phở is always served with mint leaf, bean sprouts, and jalapeño slices. All the vegetables are fresh and clean and the noodles are always cooked thoroughly. Though it isn’t the best phở I’ve had, the flavor is distinguishable and notable, and I will always come back here. The only other thing I’ve ordered off the menu are the egg rolls, which are done in a fashion not typically seen. They are extremely crispy, crunchy dare I say, and are served with a vinegar-based sauce and lettuce wraps. Together the three create a great flavor which have earned the spot of #1 egg roll in my book. Location/decoration: 7⁄10 As good as the food is, it’s location shames it. It shares a parking lot with other small restaurants, a 7 – 11, a car wash, and a laundromat. Though it is a «hole in the wall» it is still a sit down restaurant and is comfortable to sit in. It isn’t often crowded, which usually means your food will be out to you faster. Inside are simple tables set up able to sit about 8 – 10 groups, depending on size. The interior isn’t much to look at, but that’s not why we’re here, are we? Overall: 8⁄10 I enjoy this place very much. I hope they continue their business for a while, because I’ll keep coming and ordering their delicious phở

Love this place ! Ive gone here with my brother a couple times, and every time we’ve come here the service is outstanding. I am a vegetarian, however this place caters to both carnivores and vegetarians. I had their vegetarian Phở… And let me tell you, it was AMAZING!!! Besides the amazing Phoood(you see what I did there? lol) the workers there are so friendly and attentive! This is my new favorite Phở Restaurant! Highly recommend it ! I’ll be back more now that the cold weather is here! :)

Love this place for phở!!! And spring rolls. The place seems A Little rundown but I feel like that’s what gives it its charm. We come here at least 4 times a month.

I work in the city so I dine her frequently. Food comes out quickly and is always delicious. No better Phở around. The family that owns and run it are super nice and the service is great!

I’ve never been able to try their food because they NEVER answer when I try to call for pick up. I work close by and I only get a 30 min lunch, I’ve been wanting to try this place, but I’ve never been able to reach them. Unfortunate!

We were in the neighborhood to watch a movie. The little guy wanted In-N-Out and I wanted something other than a burger. Opted for this place. In short, enjoyed my bowl of combination phở. It was tasty without all the excess oil. I could taste the love and care that goes into the food. Service was friendly and attentive. I’d return again when in the area.

My coworker and I came here since it is in close proximity to the office and we were craving for some Vietnamese food for lunch. The restaurant is locate on the major cross street of State College and Ball in the same area as DonerG Turkish and Mediterranean Grill. Parking was a tad challenging during lunch time since the restaurant shared the same parking lot as six other eateries in the same shopping center. The restaurant had dated décor, hodgepodge of hanging pictures, flat screen TV, and light lime green painted walls. It had one other patron dining when we entered the restaurant. We were promptly greeted by our server and seated immediately. I ordered the vermicelli salad with charbroiled pork while my coworker got the beef phở. I received my ordered in 10 minutes. My coworker encouraged me to eat ahead since I am a slow eater so I proceeded to eat. The charbroiled pork had a good flavor but the salad portion of the dish only had lettuce, bean spouts and julienne cucumbers. Where’s the carrots? I dunno if they forgot. Midway through our lunch, my coworker still has not received their phở order. What the phở!!! I got up, knocked at the kitchen doorway and stated that we still have not received the rest of our order. The server says he will bring it out soon. Normally, the phở is brought out faster than rice or noodles dishes. My coworker finally received their phở and finished it within minutes since they were famished from the wait. Thank goodness my coworker is a fast eater! If it was me, I would just have to take the whole thing to-go since there would not be enough time for me to eat it. We paid our bill in cash(this is a cash only establishment) and luckily we came back to work on time. Would we be back here again for lunch? Maybe if we take it to go or have more time…

I’ve been here a handful of times with my husband and we are always remembered when we come in. The staff is very friendly and fast! I recommend ordering the number 14 which is tripe tendon and beef balls(traditional phở) it’s very fresh and always delicious! It is a CASHONLY restaurant but you can always get cash at the 7⁄11 which is next door. I recommend this place. It’s a very quiet family owned restaurant so I’ve you want to take someone for a nice meal I choose this place.

I was in the area and found this place. I got the chicken phở to go and it was pretty good! My food came out fast and they gave me plenty of limes and sauces with my meal! If I am ever in the area again I’ll be sure to stop by.

Service is really slow. Our egg rolls arrived before our lemonades. The egg rolls were ok. They are not wrapped in the traditional egg roll wrapper. The fish sauce was ok. The lemonades needed more ice… it was a bit warm. The vermicelli with grilled pork was ok. The veggies that came with it were just green lettuce, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. The rice dish came with grilled pork, shredded pork, and the shrimp paste wrap. The shrimp paste wrap was way over cooked. It was crispy but dry. Our food came out correctly but we noticed they messed up a couple of other tables. I think we will pass this place next time we’re in the mood for Vietnamese food.

Ate here today. I must say that the Phở is quite alright. The food in this place has the potential to make it a 4 – 5 Star in time. I never rate over 3 on my first experience, I will be back tho. Overall, solid first impression.

Small restaurant in an unassuming plaza with a car wash. Owners are very friendly and attentive. They immediately greeted me and checked on me often. Coconut juice was a bit too sweet but refreshing. Tasted better after ice melted. Bun(vermicelli) with charbroiled shrimp and pork was very tasty and sweet(probably a combination of the honey they used to cook it with the fish sauce I poured on top). However, my pork slices were so thin that they were too crispy, almost like bacon, and I usually get them soft. The vermicelli was soft and the lettuce and bean sprouts were fresh. Place looks a little run down but it works for a quick lunch!

Tried the #6 and it was good. Nice flavor, and they gave you a huge side veggies to add on. Very friendly staff. Will come back!!!

Was nursing a cold and in the mood for phở. This is the closest place to work, so I decided to try. Cold much better… I don’t get the mediocre reviews. I found the broth flavorful and the service very attentive. Ordered Phở Tai Nam Gan(what I always seem to get) and it came with fresh cleaned veggies. While the tendon was kinda tough, all else was really good. It is a hole in the wall, so don’t be expecting more. The food, however, is good and I will be back.

I LOVE this place. 1) its RIGHT by my house. 2) they have HUGE portions 3) the taste is AWESOME. This younger boy was working the first time I went… and he switched mine and my bfs order… so I was like UMMOOKHOWDOYOUMIXITUP… but. i realized he was young. probably like 7th grade or something… but I got over my slight annoyance when I tasted my food. I have since been back like 4 times. The 20 something yr old females who work at night were super friendly, which is important to me. love this place… they should get an online menu though!

Been craving phở since I’m sick and noticed this place had decent reviews and I could walk there. When we walked in the owner(?) was very nice and told us to grab a seat. We were served menus immediately. I saw a photo of fried rice and instantly wanted that instead of phở. My boyfriend ordered spring rolls and phở(both were so good) and I somehow accidentally ordered fried noodles with meats and veggies. For some reason the owner opened the front door of the shop and propped it open to where another customers dog was barking right inside the place, and it’s a pretty cold day in Anaheim. I’m not sure why she opened the door as it wasn’t warm or stuffy inside, but it remained that way the rest of our visit. I was glad to have the warm food because I was already cold from being sick. Not enough of an issue to take away any stars tho, I can handle a fresh breeze and a cute puppy barking while I eat. The issue began when my order came and I thought I ordered fried rice(I didn’t, and it was totally my fault) but the owner tried to take it back and offered me anything else, she said she’d eat what I ordered. I said it was fine, and the server looked like she may be in trouble(?) if she didn’t point out what I ordered and grabbed a menu and showed me. She made sure I knew I ordered wrong and it wasn’t her fault(it wasn’t) It was fine, and the owner the server and my boyfriend were all telling me different things so I got stressed and just said id keep what I ordered. The owner then came back after a few bites and said she’d make me something new if I didn’t like it, but I ended up actually liking it. Well, the owner is great but she needs to look in to CA state laws because this place clearly has no knowledge of 30 minute off the clock breaks. The server sat down to eat with another guest(who I’m assuming she knows outside of the work place hopefully) and she started dropping f bombs like you wouldn’t believe. Not to mention part of the subject of her conversation was how any time she tries to sit down to eat her lunch, all the«damn customers» come in and that when there are no customers she’s not hungry. Well this went on, and she’s not being quiet at all mind you my boyfriend and I are literally 2ft from their table, and she starts talking about her neighbors scuffing up her car, and she actually drops the N Word, defining the race of her Arabian neighbors! I can handle«damn» and the f word, but to use the n word in front of customers is absurd. She’s a POC, Her manager is a POC, And I just couldn’t believe she said that while on the clock. My boyfriend and I just sat uncomfortably and ate and I told him I was sure as hell glad I didn’t try to send my order back, who knows what names I would have been called. Unfortunately because of this servers behavior I will not be back to support this local business, which is unfortunate for the owner because she was amazing. She might want to look Into those labor laws and make sure her people get their breaks off the floor away from their«damn customers.»

It’s kind of one of those hole in the wall places but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. It’s CASH only so remember to bring cash. My friends brought me here and it’s a place they’ll always go for phở and for good reason too. The service is amazingly awesome! It’s family owned(more reason to support the restaurant), the pricing is very reasonable, food is good, and there is a lot to choose from. What more can you ask for? I got the vegetarian phở which was actually pretty good. Most phở soups are meat based for good reason, it’s hard to get a good soup base without using meat, but the vegetarian phở was still able to get a good soup base without that use of meat and it was loaded with veggies. They’ll even throw tofu in it for no additional cost, which I thought was cool. Most places won’t do that. I’d love to come back here and try more off their menu, especially their desserts. There was this pudding that we got(I don’t know what the name of it is) and it had a bunch of small stuff in it like popping boba, fruit, etc that was delicious. I was full and I wanted more of it! The food is pretty average but it is cooked with love which makes it extra special. The service is amazing which makes this a worthwhile place to go to!
