Orange Engine Rebuilding

Wouldn’t go anywhere else! I had some heads machined for an old project I was working on. They were finished fast and was delivered to me. I had problems with my engine after I had put it all back together (completely my fault) and called orange engine to ask if they had heard of the problem I was having. I brought the van the next day and the problem was completely solved in only an hours time. These guys are extremely knowledgeable!

They suck rebuilt my 2.2 Chevy engine 40,000 and need to replace again Not going to them Takes them 6weeks more money than quoted never again

Had the engine pulled and that day they had a truck at the shop to pick it up.
THe crazy thing is that I was expecting at least two weeks+ for the rebuild at the shortest. The day I was leaving for a short business trip, I get a phone call that it was done. What the hell!!! The guy on the phone was optimistic about how ‘beautiful of a rebuild it was’ and everything.
Good vibe, going rates, fast as hell, and turned out like a dream.

I used Orange engine back in the day was very happy so when time came that a buDdy wanted his ford escape engine rebuilt it had 288,00 miles on it running strong just burned oil. I took it to OanAge engine, well thats when the run around started, james the son of jim allways answers the phone, that kid is a professional liar, I got every excuse and lie possible, I have been in the automotive bus. for over 35 years and this has by far is the worst suck ass shop, anyways I got the motor and I tried to make it run for over 2 weeks, changed coils sensors nothing and also burnt out the
a cost of over 600.00 dollars, so my buddy gets pissed at me and takes it to another shop and what do you know. they can not get it running either… so trying to get ahold of jim is like an act from god himself… lawsuit all over this lame ass shop… here it is 3 months later no running engine… COME ON WHEREs THE PRIME IN SOMETHING YOU BUILD… ANS STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT AND FIRE THAT LAME ASS SON OF YOURS… THIS PLACE SUCKZ…

I got a 1993 Toyota 4Runner with a blown engine. I knew the previous owner and I asked them to let me make a offer if they ever decided to sell it. Well after a blown head gasket and a whole lot of other problems I patiently waited for 5 long years. They finally let me have it. I did not have many service records but I was able to surmise that the engine had 230,000 miles on it and with a recommendation from a good friend I called and talked to James. He asked me some questions about the year, make and model and he educated me about the history of the 6 cylinder 3.0 motor. I gave him a run down of what led up to the blown head casket and he told me that if the owner would have pulled over when the radiator blew they would still be driving it even with such high miles. A day later I stopped by Orange Engine to see the shop and I talked to James’s dad Jim. Jim came out and made me feel welcome. His knowledge on the 6 cylinder 3.0 Toyota engine blew my mind. He convinced me that the motor was worth the rebuild. After 10 minutes talking to Jim I felt like I was one of the family. I also got a feeling that he knew what he was talking about and I could trust him. He also let me know that he always uses the best replacement parts and he would change out any parts previously used on the various engine fixes that were preformed over the years and this would included in the cost of the rebuild price. Jim also told me that if I paid the full rebuild price in advance that any extra items that would need to be replaced would be included at no extra charge. Not knowing how bad the motor was I thought this would be the best route so I paid up front. Rob at Rob’s Truck and Auto in Fullerton pulled the motor and dropped it off at Orange Engine. 34 days latter the rebuilt engine was put back into the 4Runner. Turns out that the previous owner drove it hot trying to get home when the radiator blew. Not only did she blow the head gasket but the heads cracked. One head had 11 cracks alone and both head could not be used. So the block was used but I got new heads, new water pump, timing belt and tentioners, new pistons, valves, crank shaft… the list goes on.
In all everything was change out with the top quality part. the only thing that is still original is the block. Guess I made the right decision paying the price of the rebuild in advance. I know that Orange Engine took a beating on this rebuild. I respect these guys so much for holding to what they said and building me a motor at the quoted price that now sounds and runs like new. I can’t say enough about how grateful and happy I am that I went to Orange Engine. I would recommend this shop to anyone. All these guys do is rebuild motors and they really know what they are doing.
I now have over 1,100 miles on the break in and the motor seems to get better and better as the miles roll on. This is my dream car and I can’t wait to get inside it and start it up each morning. Thanks Jim! You and your son James are fantastic!

This place SUCK ‘s they can’t even rebuild a 2.5 4 cylinder engine and it takes them week’s & week’s, then when it blows up it comes back in pieces.
