History
Established in 1978.
In 1978 Mike Stickle rented 700 square feet of space in a corner gas station on State College Blvd. With his tool box, 10 years of experience and couple cardboard boxes of parts he opened for business. Mike’s wife, Nyla, would run for parts, and when not in school their 7 year old son would scrub parts and sweep floors. It wasn’t long before people began telling their friends and families.
In 1986 Mike’s moved to Anaheim Blvd. The larger shop provided an engine room and parts room in addition to clean front office with a comfortable waiting area.
In 2000 Mike’s had out grown their shop and must move on. Mikes is now on Miraloma ave. in a state of the art facility. With all the latest computer diagnostic equipment, increased square footage and ASE certified Master Technicians, Mikes is now the state of the art go to place for all your auto repair needs.
Mike’s continues to grow but to this day it is still the same family business that started back in 1978.
Meet the Business Owner
Mike S.
Business Owner
Mike’s passion for auto repair runs deeper than a career. Mike’s first car was a 1967 bug. It wasn’t long before Mike’s love for Volkswagen landed him a job at the local VW dealer. His humble motivated demeanor had him sweeping floors and picking the brains of the mechanics around him. It wasn’t long before they recognized his burning desire to be turning the wrenches. He was sent off to VW Factory school. Mike’s work ethic and love of the trade laid the foundation for what would become Mike’s Foreign Car.
Throughout the the years, naturally Mike had continued involvement in motor sports. Mike has experienced success in all types of competitive racing from drags to slalom. It was 1993 when Mike won the La Rana Desert Racing Unlimited Class Championship that he’s most proud of. Financially an underdog, it was a credit to both Mike’s driving abilities and his mechanical expertise.
It’s Mike’s integrity continues to be his greatest asset and the foundation of his success.
