Beware the Managers are the same as the employees. The picture speaks for itself. No I will not change my review. To add insult to Injury I do not need my Husband to make my decisions. This company leader should be Ashamed of how he speaks to his customers. You can see where the employees get their attitude from. I did block and report him I can see how angry he was. Really scary coming from A person who’s supposed to show caring and consideration.

Headed out on a 2 month trip tomorrow. Ordered critical hooks on the website TEN DAYS AGO. «Patty,» in custom service not only gave me pathetic email followup, she never even shipped the order! Thanks a bunch Melton International Tackle! Guess I will do my best to find them elsewhere.

Went there a few days ago, the store mainly caters to deep sea fishing, however I’m a beginner fresh water fisherman. I went in with general questions regarding license and where to fish locally, the young man that attended me was very friendly, gave me suggestions as to where to fish locally and clarified my questions about purchasing a license.
Although this store is not geared towards beginners like me, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I don’t know why people leave bad reviews here, but in my case the customer service was very good and they provided me with assistance when asked.
Product variety is great so, mainly for deep sea fishing, which is what I like ;)

Determined wife systematically browsing every tile store on tile row. Depressed and fatigued kids and husband close at toe. Then like a beacon of hope in a sea of ceramic, when all felt a loss. We stumble upon Melton’s. I rub my eyes in disbelief. Could it be… a tackle shop among this depressing land of travertine, bath tiles and faucets?
I like to think Melton strategically place this fuel station for the soul for sorry dicks such as myself and not for a $/sqrf.
Melton’s in Anaheim appears to be their distribution center for other stores and of corse mail order which is majority of their business.
Donnie’s your man. The guy was extremely knowledgable, friendly and great with my impatient kids. In an ever growing era of online shopping it’s individuals like Donnie that make the shopping experience worth the drive to the land of tile.

I recently ordered some PowerPro braid and I admit the price was fair for that product, however I am unhappy with the customer service I recieved at Melton tackle. I made my initial order on 5÷20÷15 at that time I paid $ 20 for express delivery which was a three to five day delivery option. It is now 5÷26÷15 and I’m told my delivery won’t be here until the 28^th. I called to discuss this with Melton tackle and was basically told to go kick rocks. I cannot recommend doing business with a company that would treat their customers this way.

These guys play old used car salesman selling tricks. They use the old bait and switch routine. Online and over the phone they confirmed that they had both a Okuma Makaira 15 sea in silver and phenix hybrid 760 xh. So, I drove 45 mile down to buy it, but as it turns out they had neither one. They thought I would buy the gunmetal model and a shorter hybrid but I didn’t «bite». They can keep there $ 25.00 gift card they gave me for «my troubles».

I have been shopping here for a little over a year, previously I was buying all my equipment from a small local tackle shop. I thought they had me on the right track when it comes to big game fishing. Until i discovered Melton’s.
I deal with Andrew and he is a true professional, he has the answer to all my questions.
Wonderful show room, kinda has a Nordstrom feel. Prices are good, and you are getting the best equipment in the game. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Expensive. But what really bothered me the most is the way they tried to take advantage of me. Under the guise of being «helpful» and «saving me money,» they tried to sell a cardboard tube worth five dollars to me for $ 20. I am pretty sure it was eitsher a manager or the owner trying to ream me at the spur of the moment. I looked at other stuff while I thought about this rip off, and then decided just to go for it, since I was under a Severe time constraint. And when I went to another guy to ring me up, he charged me the correct store price of only seven dollars. Proving the mentality here is to screw you when your guards are down and when they have a chance.
I am never going back here again. Furthermore, I am not going to Angler’s Center in Newport Beach anymore, either, because they are sister companies.
P. S. what makes this «international»!? I’m lol.

This place is a take it or leave type store. If you have a «do you have this» type question they will acknowledge you by showing you the most expensive option and if you don’t appear interested they just sort of walk away. No cheaper/second options, or any kind of follow up.
I came in looking for a rod and the first one they showed me was stickered at $ 479! Seriously!!! The first one you pull out is $ 500?!?
Only come here if you can’t find what you’re looking for somewhere else.
