Math World by Amy is a math tutoring center designed to help students succeed in mathematics. We will use a variety of teaching strategies. Many of the strategies are a bit uncommon to the standard practice of teaching mathematics. They have been tested in my classroom to be the most accessible to students.

The program is designed to help students with their class work and make sure students have all of the prerequisite knowledge needed for success in their current class. Once students are caught up with their class, we will work on keeping your student ahead so that they do not have to struggle with math.

Math is not just something only to be learned in school. With my help, students will understand their school work and see where they will need it in the «real world.»

I have had many years tutoring for CSUF and Chaffy College in their math tutoring centers along with over 10 years of private tutoring. My success in tutoring is why I become a teacher. I am a highly qualified math teacher. In my classroom, I have learned many things about how students relate to and learn math. I have a variety of teaching strategies that will help students understand not only the mathematics but the underlying reasons behind the content.

I currently have a BA in Mathematics and a teaching credential from CSU Fullerton. Even with my experience and educational background, I am still working on improving my practice. I have attended the CMC math conference and the Orange County Math Council math conference every year for the last 7 years.
