Kmart

Obviously not the best quality in clothing, but they do have a large selection at a very cheap pricing. I would always purchase their store brand shoes because they were so cheap and usually they lasted for a while.
Since this particular location is closing, the whole store is on sale. I’ve been stocking up on my K-​cups, everyday essentials, and other stuff since everything is at least 20% off or more. There’s tons of women’s clothing on sale, with markdowns being as low as 60% off.

I used to think there were only 2 types of people in this world: those that shop at Target or those that shop at Walmart. Man, I was terribly wrong. There are actually 3 types of people. the last one is those that shop at Kmart.
This place is worst than Walmart. I’ve never stepped foot in a Kmart ever since I was 5 and there was a Little Caeser’s in them. The employees are super slow and unhelpful. You are better off finding your items yourself instead of asking for assistance. The organization of this place is atrocious. I mean, this place seems cheaper in price but I’m not sure if it be worth my while to go through all of the emotions I went through while shopping here.
It’s probably not all of the workers fault because the people who shop here are ridiculous. It baffles me how they give no courteousness to others around them. It seriously took me 15 minutes to check out buying 1 item with 2 people ahead of me. This lady was seriously shopping at the front of the line. The cashier had to price check each item for her and ask her if she wants each one of them… one at a time. Then she proceeds to change her mind like every time, first saying no to it and then when the cashier totals up the amount, she says yes I want it. Another customer pushes their cart to the front of the line and just leaves it there and then takes their bags, causing a road block for everyone around them.
With everything being said, it’s no wonder why Kmarts are going out of business.

I hardly ever shop at K Mart but when I do, this would be the closest location to me. Each and every time I come here. There is always employees in the front chatting away and would look right at you coming into the store without greeting you. And if you want to look for help finding something, good luck because employees are nowhere to be found unless you go all the way to the front where they usually chat away at. Don’t get me wrong you, there are great deals at k mart but man the service sucks. I was at k mart yesterday and the girl who was ringing me up was putting me on hold so she can finish up her conversation with her co worker about what drink she wants from Starbucks –_​-​… Come on, get it together.

First kmart experience this great. My cashier was great and the customer service counter was great too. They were searching for my order since they mixed them with the existing and they w e re able to fix it in 5 minutes. Very nice gals and the two young men that helped me roll my items to my car were super helpful. Reading the previous reviews makes me think they got new employees. I will definitly return. It was 7pm on a Tuesday so I’m sure it’s a little more crazy during the weekends. I’m a happy customer.

I actually made a Unilocal account just so I can complain about their customer service. I recently purchased a white spray paint can but it was clear glossy so I made a phone call to exchange it. They told me to come in so when I did that, they gave me a white spray paint and they charged me for it when I wanted to make an exchange. I wasn’t really too happy about it but there was a line behind me so I didn’t want to cause a fuss for everyone else. After coming home with my product, the spray doesn’t even work. I would not recommend anyone to purchase anything here.

And the award for worst customer service goes to… Kmart for telling me, «I wouldn’t know off the top of my head. You’re gonna have to come in and check.» When I called the toys department to see if they had a lion stuffed animal.

Worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. Went there to return 2 shirts and look for a fold up 6 ft table and chairs. I found one in black but wanted to check if they had one in white instead, so I went up to customer service to inquire. Nellie, the Front Lead, was extremely unhelpful. She just said no we don’t have it. She refused, upon my request, to scan it and check for a white one. She seemed genuinely uninterested in helping me. Then, I said well, I’ll just take these 2 shirts back to which she said, I can’t, we changed our return policy to 30 days (it was just over 30 days, I had been on vacation). Stunned, I walked away, went to go put back the table and looked at my receipt. On the back it said the return policy was 90 days with receipt, so I went back up to the customer service desk and showed her — to which she said that it didn’t matter, they changed their return policy. Nellie was extremely cold and blunt. I asked her if they could just honor what was on my receipt at the time I purchased the shirts because I really didn’t need them. She said no and I asked to talk to a manager then, to which she replied, I am. Well for being a «manager» (her name badge said Lead) she certainly wasn’t trying to resolve any issues here. She was just trying to avoid taking back my item and coming off very rude. I urged her again and she scanned my shirts and said that they were only worth a penny each now… but I had a receipt! Absolutely ridiculous. After urging her some more, she finally tried to take it back at least, but extremely begrudgingly!, and said I can only do what the computer lets me, if it doesn’t then there’s nothing I can do. Finally! A glimpse of effort from the customer service desk! But what I received after this was just plain rude. Another employee came up behind her and constantly talked to her as she was taking my stuff back. She took her sweet time, rudely having a side conversation while I was in front of her. Minutes! later, when she was done returning my stuff (which surprise! she could do), she taped my two receipts together turned her head away from me, stuck her arm out, and waved my receipts for me to take. I was appalled. How in the world could someone be so rude?! If you were a manager especially, you would never in a million years treat someone like that. We don’t pay money to shop somewhere and be treated that way. So wrong on so many different levels. I felt so disrespected. I have great manners, I always say please and thank you and am understanding. And yes, I said thank you when I took my receipt, but that left such a bad taste in my mouth. I urge corporate to take a look at such behaviors. If staff is going to have an attitude like this, PLEASE don’t have them work the customer service desk. How oxymoronic. I will never ever shop at a Kmart again unless this behavior is addressed. What a horrible, horrible experience.

Long story short I had paid for an item that was less than $ 10.00 after tax. I specifically asked the cashier if I needed to return it would there be a problem and she said no, just bring it back. Well, the problem was, there were two styles of what I wanted and unfortunately when I got the item home, I discovered I guessed wrong so I went back a couple of days later to return the item.
I HAD THE NEW IN BOX ITEM, THE ORIGINAL CASH REGISTER RECEIPT IN HAND, AND THE NEW IN BOX ITEM IN THE ORIGINAL KMART BAG, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY COULD NOT READ ONE OF THE NUMBERS ON THE RECEIPT, SO SHE SAID SHE WOULD HAVE TO GIVE ME A STORE CREDIT.
I try to stay away from Kmart, especially this one, because 1) it’s in a sketchy area with sketchy people hanging around, 2) Kmart usually isn’t in my wheelhouse of stores, it’s not close to my house, I was just in the area and figured they might have the item cheap, and I’ll give them this, they did. I ended up paying a couple bucks more at Walmart.
Anyways, after getting the runaround from the customer service lady for about 10 minutes I finally asked for the manager, who was able to give me my cash back.
Unfortunately by this time, I’m like «and this is how you retain customers?»
To pour salt in the wound, I decided I would try to resolve or at least report the issue to the company directly instead of airing their dirty laundry on Unilocal.They did get back to me to ask for the stores address, which I INITIALLY INCLUDED IN THE CORRESPONDENCE, so after I did get back to them and gave them address of the store AGAIN, they emailed me back stating a store manager would contact me within 3 to 5 business days.
Ok, so tomorrow is technically the 5^th business day, but if they really cared for their customers or keeping new customers or those who don’t normally shop there, shouldn’t they have called me right away? I mean what are they going to cover on the 5^th business day if they actually contact me? They’re going to go back in time and not treat me like a shoplifter trying to scam them with some returned merchandise trick? Say they’re «sorry».
Whatever, at this point, I don’t care… don’t contact me, you’ll just rekindle my anger. I shouldn’t have interloped on the hunting grounds of the tweekers and stalkers of the world. This taught me a lesson. (yes, stalkers, while in the store, this guy who reminded me of Cedric the Entertainer was following me, and asked me where the fans are. I said I don’t know I don’t work here… he kind of laughed and walked away, til he poked his head around the corner of the aisle again, pointed at me, and said «don’t work here… hahaha».)
Yeah, I’m telling you, it was an experience I don’t want to repeat any time soon!

I only shop in Kmart to get some good deals and use my SYM points. Selection is hit or miss.
Prices are kinda of weird though. Some items are overpriced. Not sure who buys from Kmart anymore especially if this Kmart is right next to Neighborhood Walmart. Lots of parking near the store however it looks like the lots needs to be repaved.
I manage to snag a couple of good deals while I was here and they still have some cute items for sale. Not sure if this place is closing, last time I went half of the lights were closed. Maybe they were conserving electricity?

Very rude customer service. People who work there have an attitude towards customers. I’ve been here a couple of times and it is always the same thing.

I have been to the other couple of K-​Marts in Orange County and this one is the best. If you are stuck going to K-​Mart for something go to this one. The layout was open and it was easy to find the things we were looking for. I actually felt inclined to purchase something instead of running out of the store in disgust. The cashier I dealt with seemed nice even after I answered my phone at checkout. The parking lot is old and could use a repave but since not many people shop at K-​Mart anymore it was pretty easy to get around.

Store is clean and organized. The regular cashiers are all friendly. That is why i gave 2 stars. The supervisor that worked tonight and last sat closing shifts (12÷06÷14 & 12÷10÷14) is a b*tch. The SYW member system went down so I couldn’t use my rewards and the supervisor had the biggest attitude like it was my problem their system was down. She needs major work on her CS skills!!! Would be better if they just got rid of people w poor management skills! SMH

Bad service keep put u on hold. and they don’t even deserve one star! Keep hold on my package for month. 0 star!

You have a 50% chance of them sending you to the right aisle, and a 70% chance of them having what you need. It’s dim, dingy, and the worst store layout I’ve ever seen.

This poor Kmart… I keep trying but it’s terrible every time lol
Went here today to get a money order… they didn’t know how to do one –_​– after 10 minutes I left and walked over to walmart lol
Shopping here is frustrating… everything is kinda haphazard… but I will say when they have sales, they are awesome… but you will have to wait forever to get checked out.

Wow… what can I say nice about this Kmart… the cashier was very nice! what can recommend — Never ever ever ask to buy paint from this store unless you have 45 minutes to an hour for someone to come unlock the case–
Question– Why are the shelves always so empty at this one and how do they stay in business running the store the way they do?

I went in a few days ago and was happy with my purchase.
They had a buy one get one free on running shoes.
Light weight, easy to put on and plus I managed to buy another free.
I also bought a little girls backpack. I saw it was on the sale side but wasn’t too sure it was in the right section, plus I did notice somethings were not in the right sections and cost normal price. The backpack was 3.50. I was sold and now have a birthday gift for my niece. Will I be back? Heck yes, for there winter sale.

I have not stepped into a Kmart in ages and will not need to for more ages.
First off this location had a funky smell the moment you walked in. I was hoping to be in and out quickly with my 2 items… dog food and trashbags. Both of which were highly priced compared to Walmart and Target. I made my way to the one open line, already filled with customers and waited about 10 minutes. I was hoping the solo cashier would call for assistance or perhaps the manager would notice the line, but that didnt happen. I didnt know who was who since all the employees wore was a name badge. Those fancy red vests must be a blast in the past now.

After reading some of these reviews, it was obvious that most people felt like I did. Ok so the store isnt pretty, clean and the customer service sucks but you can get some great deals on clearance clothes… and with small kids THIS is a blessing when you go thru two sizes a year. Plus they have their reward program that does offer cash back after a reasonable quota is reached.
I have always felt that KMart, being backed by Sears, would be a decent store because of the Sears backing. but not only did the apple fall far from this tree, but it seemed to have missed the tree branch altogether here. It is ghetto. Ok its cheap. what do you expect? Free Layaway? Well yes, during the holidays there is free layaway which translates to this mom… free storage. Actually, storing the kids gifts is an advantage so they dont sneak and peak at their Christmas garb.(like my brother and I did.) So free layaway, err gift storage it is.
I put a few things on layaway for my son. Then when I was making a payment on that order, I made a second layaway for some stuff for my daughter… a much harder child to shop for.
So at first, everything was great. Until Thanksgiving struck and my payment was due. In the middle of all that activity just happened to be Black Friday, Cyber Monday (and my very reason for avoiding the store in person!) and my own schedule of annual doctors visits… which brought up the need to toss a colonoscopy/​EDG into the mix, right there with the prep… but the layaway is due… what should I do? Well, the responsible person would call the store. Which is exactly what I did.
Over Thanksgiving I got a message saying Hey Deadbeat… your payment is due. And a day later came the second layaway’s notice. So I call into the Layaway department on Saturday (hell no was I going on Black Friday) and the girl said, I am sorry but our computers were down. So I gave them my telephone number and waited for them to call me back when the computers were operational again.
That day, I heard a jingle on the radio that happened to mention that you can make payments online for layaway’s. For a brief moment, I thought all of my troubles were over. I went online, armed with my debit card in hand … only to find that you must have your member awards cards listed in the records in order for your layaway to be found. I tried searching under a couple of different ways of inaccurately spelling my name (of course I gave them the correct spelling, I mean… its my name, right?) hoping that I would be able to pick up the orders from there. Well, no luck. Back to Kmart.
Well maybe not. I do have the telephone number on the receipt, I can call Kmart and have them enter in the member rewards number into the two layaways. I called back and this time, I spoke to a guy who sounded young guy and had a Hispanic accent. I gave him both of the contract numbers, my name and how to spell it correctly, along with my member rewards card and lastly, my rewards card. I waited another two days and when I went online the next time, there was still no record of my layaways. Now it is definitely back to Kmart.
When I went in, I waited 45 minutes to get help. The department opened at 10 am, and there were 4 people ahead of me when I arrived at 10:15. Two of the people before me had issues also, including one person who was missing half of her layaway.
After the burning in my leg started but before my leg began to go numb from standing in the same position… unable to move, it was finally my turn only to find out that I had 1 order available. The first order had a small balance left on it and the second order was returned to stock. So I tell the girl that I want to close our both transactions. I will apply the refund of the first layaway, (which turned out to be $ 10… my $ 20 deposit less a $ 10 cancellation fee) to the balance of the second layaway… but the girl wasnt really getting what I was saying. She knew that it was returned to stock, so she just thought that meant that the transaction was voided.
She wanted me to pay for the second layaway and I repeated what I wanted to happen. She had no intention of giving me a refund, thinking that the fees ate up the deposit. To start a layaway, it requires 10% down or $ 20 min. deposit to cover the $ 5 layaway charge and the $ 10 cancellation fee charged. It took me explaining three times and once from her supervisor that she finally got that I had a refund coming.
So we finally closed out the first layaway and then I picked up the second one, only to walk right over to the customer service desk to return my entire layaway… when I signed the forms for my refund, I was asked to sign, which I did. Then I pulled out my rewards card and left it on the desk. The sales girl asked, isn’t this yours? Yes, I said, but I dont need it anymore… and then I signed the refund form…
