This guy is being investigated for tax fraud. Uses other people’s socials to continue with his scam. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be audited that is.

Michael (Mike) did such a great job on my taxes that I ended up being audited and need to pay back tens of thousands of dollars! I appreciate the whole speech of «standing by my side» if I go through an audit. Oh, and may I mention that he put a bunk name on my returns, said that I own property, moving expenses, and medical debt. I truly appreciate the wonderful service this man gave me. Instead of buying a house and making a mortgage payment for 30 years, I’m on a 30 year fixed loan back to the IRS! Thanks Mike!!! Remember this photo so you know what a fake looks like! Our new tax guy is here, honest and explained what my options are are and he was able to get some extra «earned income tax credits» and the bottom line is I was able to claim more expenses thus i will recieve more money on my return without lying or cheating as some small companies try to do in orange county. Thanks for your help!

My ex and I used Michael for a few years against my better judgement. He is a nice guy, but he ultimately screwed us over by claiming way more than we had and doing some other shady stuff. We were audited and ended up having quite a hefty tax bill to pay to the IRS. Lesson learned, I am sticking with Turbo Tax.

I was referred over by a friend since they said he is up to date with the new tax laws and he sure helped me finish my yearly taxes since i’m a procrastinator. He reviewed my last years documents and also corrected the innaccurate data and refiled. Happy camper here!

The service was horrible and I was audited, completely unprofessional. Michael Martinez kept staring at my girlfriend’s feet and made inappropriate comments to her when I went to the bathroom. You’re better off using Turbotax or finding another CPA.

First review I’ve ever written, and it’s happening basically because it’s ridiculous that this guy’s overall rating is currently showing as 2.5 stars. I feel like I need to do my part to bring it back down to 1 (or ideally zero, but such is life). Everything Topo and Artemis have said are 100% on point. It’s my own fault for trusting this guy… please PLEASE do not make the same mistake.

Michael Martinez has been doing our taxes for a few years and we have never been audited! He always returns our calls and emails in a timely manner and is genuinely a good guy. May seem a little shy at times but thats just who he is. He has been doing this for a long time and he knows his this business inside and out. If you get audited it because of the info you gave him. He does everything by the book and I would recommend him to anyone I know. Thanks for everything Mike!

It has been a while since i wrote a review, but people need to know about this gem. Before I go any further, remember this man’s face and avoid him at all costs. He has no conscience and has no qualms about doing whatever it takes to get paid at the expense of his clients’ finances. He runs a «company,» Your Home Tax Service, that specializes in preparing taxes that will eventually get you audited. Why did I ever trust him to prepare my taxes? Ignorance. I trusted that he was doing what was in my best interest. He will get you a big return because he fudges the numbers in your favor. Let this be a lesson of what happens when you do bargain basement shopping. If you decide to procure his services despite this warning, a few tips for your first meeting with Michael:
–Prepare to stay up late. No matter what time he says he will meet you, he always shows up at your place at some ungodly hour, like 1030pm or 11pm (in my case 1120pm).
–Lock all doors inside your home before he arrives. He will randomly walk in to your place and start opening doors looking for the bathroom.
–Stock up on orange juice. He likes his O. J and will ask for some upon arrival.
–Make some room in your home for his business cards. He will give you about 100 business cards every time he sees you.
Your Home Tax service is a one man financial wrecking crew. Use at your own risk.

If I could give negative stars, I would. This so-​called tax preparation service, is a one-​man show of incompetence. Not only is Michael a complete weirdo, but he is a liar. He purposely fudged my taxes which led to an IRS audit. This happened not only to me but to many people who have used him. He came recommended through some friends so I thought I could trust him. Since so many of us have gotten audited, he has basically washed his hands of the whole situation and told us to hire a CPA to help us with our problems. What the hell kind of answer is that? Now, he has the gall to continue to call people that I had referred to him trying to get their business. Is he on crack? I hope that no one else uses him… because if you do, get ready for the IRS to come a-​knockin’.
