Mike and his staff are professional, efficient and very knowledgeable! It’s nice to feel like you’re the only customer that matters. They treat everyone that way. Their rentals are high quality and super fair priced! I won’t rent from anyone else.

I had rented from these guys years ago and my experience was not at all that bad. As I recall, there was a dubious $ 300 charge when I returned the ski for what they claimed was excessive impeller wear but the quality of their customer service was so outstanding that I didn’t even bother to dispute the charge. What’s more, I was so satisfied with the overall experience, I knew I would be coming back whenever I decided to rent jet skis again. And I did.
Unfortunately, this time around, my experience was not all that great. I rented two skis for the weekend and both of them failed to live up to minimum expectations. After all was said and done, I spent close to a grand on two jet skis that I was unable to use more than 2 hours each throughout the entire weekend.
When I returned the skis, they tested them in their water tank and both of them worked like a charm. But before they did that they insinuated that I had flipped them when they checked the oil and it appeared like there was an excessive amount of water in it. Quite frankly, since these guys also happen to be a service facility, I would have expected them to service their own skis on a regular basis but judging from the color and viscosity of that oil, it is safe to say it had not been changed for at least six to nine months. It was sludge.
They claim that they found nothing wrong with the skis and having seen them testing them in their tank, it is difficult to disagree with their assessment but I know for a fact the skis did not work as expected. Even then, after I asked for a refund, I decided to give them the benefit of doubt and offered them to rent me two skis for a day free of charge, gas included, and we call it even.
When you rent their skis, they make you sign an encyclopedia worth of paperwork and make sure that if you cause any amount of damage to their skis, you will be on the hook for at least $ 300. And they make sure to bill you $ 500 per ski in advance, just in case. That is, on top of the ski rental price. If they only held themselves to the same demanding standards should their equipment fail to perform as advertised. But you actually have to agree that under no circumstance will they ever be liable for more than the actual cost of the rental.
I am reasonable, I really think they should include the gas since I returned both of their skis with more than ¾ gas in the tank and they gave them to me with only ¹⁄₈ and ¼ each. The extra gas they got from me is gas that they will be billing some poor sap for when he fails to return the skis with the same amount of gas as he received them with. And that happens more often than not. They did offer the free rental of two skis for one day only but said I had to pay for gas and insurance. I pleaded with them to reconsider including the gas but were ignored.
Even after taking into consideration how bad my weekend turned out, and even after reading all of the horror stories here on Unilocal,I would have given these guys a five star review because I know that sometimes, sh*t happens. And sh*t happened. I am not trying to point any fingers at anyone. I just want for them to step up to the plate and take care of business in a fair way.
I spent almost $ 1000 for the privilege of towing their filthy, unreliable equipment a couple hundred miles only to use it for less than two hours and get stranded in the middle of the lake under the blistering heat of a 100+ degree summer day with my 8 year old daughter and out of no fault of my own, Fortunately, I have not yet exhausted all of the options available to resolve the matter in a satisfactory manner.

This place is great! You get to try out jet skis and not have to buy them. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend them for all occasions including service on your personal ski! Mike the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and can accommodate to all your needs. Just keep in mind that a reservation ahead of time helps ease the process as they are super busy. Also, wherever you are headed does matter, some lakes are picky as to which kind of skis they allow and restrictions on certain skis come into play. Be sure to stat that on your reservation for the most success. The more upfront you can be with them the better. This company is much cheaper and more professional than renting at the lake or Dana point, etc. take care of the jet ski as if it were your own and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I have rented from this company for many years. We take several jet ski trips to Catalina each summer, smallest group of 4 and largest group of 18. We have have been doing this for years and always rent from this company for all of our skis. We always contact them about 2 weeks in advance to discuss the trip plans and select the best date based on intended ski availability. Then we formalize the reservations 7 – 10 days in advance via their documented reservation form. We go there an hour or two early for pickup inspection (inspecting 12 – 18 skis takes time). in the few instances we had mechanical difficulties on our trips, they addressed as I hoped and was satisfied.
My group and I take our Catalina trips serious. We plan ahead, we arrive early to pick up, we heavily inspect both for mechanical stability, and we plan for contingencies. I have probably over 1000 miles logged on their jet skis alone, and would easily triple that number with those that have joined us on the Catalina runs on their rented skis.
I wouldn’t change my process if we were hitting a lake or going for a local spin in the harbor. Plan ahead, arrive early, check the mechanics and plan for contingencies.

We could’ve had better service.

Horrible customer service. They pretty much told me go fuck yourself after wanting to rent 4 jet skis i cant believe it. They ruined my families plans and worst of all very disappointed with this place. Wont ever rent from them again.

Unethical business practices. Do not do business with this company. If something feels wrong, trust your instincts.

Worst customer service. We were waiting for jet skies about 3hrs (which we made reservations 1 month ahead). Guys didnt seem to know what they were doing. They had a problem with previouse jet skies. Them knowing certain lakes dont allow wet jet skies they didnt have anything ready. 3 ppl ahead of us and they waited same amount or more.

This place is SHADY! Multiple business names equals TROUBLE! It goes by the names Get n Wet Family, Rentrtoyz, and now OC Jet Ski Rentals.
We had reservations to pick up 2 Wave Runners on Monday, July 7^th at 10:30am. Not much info on website, so I emailed them questions. Got the answers I wanted and then made the reservation. No confirmation email or receipt given at all. I was scared since I gave them all my credit card info, so I called the next day. Guy on the phone said that the person I was emailing back and forth with didn’t know what was going on and there was no way to get Wave Runners until about 3−4pm. on Monday. He then checked the Returns for that day and said that he could have them ready by 11am Monday Morning.
I called the Friday before to confirm again, and the guy on the phone said that they would be ready. That he was even getting returns Sunday Night.
I called Monday morning to make sure everything was ready and no answer on his cell phone. I left a voice mail. No return calls. So now I’ve got the car packed with the family and we head there and arrive at 11am to pick them up and head out of town. The place is a mess. The office is a complete wreck. My Jaw Drops. Nobody there to help me. After 20 minutes, I finally find the manager. He tells me that it will be about 2 hours until anything is ready!!! Are you kidding!!!
I’ve got a 5 and 7 year old in the car… honestly think I can wait 2 hours in Anaheim? So we leave. It completely RUINED our week because I rented a home on a lake with a private dock… and NO WAVE RUNNERS! Instead of paying $ 150 a day, I ended up paying $ 125 an hour.
Don’t rent from them. There are other business that know what the heck they are doing in which you can rent from.

Terrible service!
First of all our pick up time for the jet skis was 3 and then they called and told us we had to be there at 2 instead so we show up at 1:50 and the guy who handles the jet skis was not there so we waited. He did not show up until 2:45 after telling us we had to be there by 2! It was very frustrating that NO ONE else could help us because each employee only deals with one type of rental! So we waited, and hooked up one set of skis to one car.
Then he had trouble hooking up the second set to another car, had some problems with figuring out the lighting. He has no idea what he was doing.
Even though we reserved ahead of time we were there from 1:50 — 5:00 just to pick up 4 jet skis and hook them up to 3 different cars!
I must say though that there was another manager who was working in the store that was extremely knowledgable about his area, vet nice, and extremely helpful. I have a feeling if he was on charge everything would have been a very different t experience!

Review is for service not rental since we have never rented. We get our family boat serviced here every year. It’s a seadoo sportster with jet ski engines. We take the boat to Lake Mojave and never had a problem after being serviced. Mike is great and explains what needs to be done and educates me in the process of how to maintain my boat.

The price seemed good for four day rental 400 $ friday-​monday not bad you would think i rather pay double than deal with these ignorant people ever again.
so here’s the story I rented two jet skis for the weekend. for a family vacation to pyramid lake … Upon arrival to Pyramid Lake we soon discovered the skis had to be dry not a single drop of water in order to pass inspection. fortunatley for me i got my jet skis freshly washed and wet that’s the first thing that was wrong so of course they didn’t pass inspection i call the rental company no one freaking answers so i leave the lake and try and find a wash station so i can dry them off by the time I’m done that its dark so of course a whole day wasted and filled with disappointment .
now what i don’t understand is on the rental application they ask you were your going and even when you get the rental location they ask you again where are taking the skis so shouldn’t they call the lake your going to so they can be aware of the rules and regulation for jet skis. now on to problem #2 after finally being able to get on the lake about an hour into riding one of the skis shuts down leaving my son stranded simply because there was a key malfunction (the kicker to this problem is when we got back they knew that already and forgot to tell us) so now were down a jet ski and I’m still unable to get in contact with anybody from the company …
finally after this long and horrible weekend is over and its time to take the skis back i notice the trailer had a missing tail light. so instead risking a ticket i decided to replace the light with a new one. once we arrive back and i calmly explain everything that happen and try to get an understanding of why there was no one answering the phones. they reply we were busy… what kind of business is to busy to answer or return business related calls. after that they notice the new light on the trailer and have the nerve to complain about it, keep in mind the other light that was still on the trailer looked old and like it was about to fall off but the complain about the new light …
so then we move on to the jet ski that wouldn’t turn on and that’s when they tell me that its has a key problem and forgot to tell me so they demonstrated the special way on how to put the key on so it could start. so they new it was messed up and forgot to tell me before i left wow is all i could say… so me being a loyal costumer you would think they wouldn’t charge for that one ski and offer a compensation towards my next rental … but no with these incompetent morons. they tell me that there’s nothing they could do and that they assure me next time it wont happen …

My brother rented a side by side from him for a long weekend. Got to riding area and noticed previous damage causing it to only be driven safely at a crawl without causing more damage.
He brought it back with only a few hours on meter and Mike charged him for the entire weekend with NO DISCOUNT at all. How bad is business over there that Mike couldnt even cut the guy some slack? Be prepared for the same treatment if you dare rent from this «shiester». Me and my bro and our families tell everyone we know about Mike AKA Sansandsea AKA Getnwet AKA Rentrtoyz and why they should take thier money elsewhere.
You will most likely see a rebuttal added below from Mike. Screw that guy, he is just trying to discredit cusomers he has burned. Notice he has not burned Candace P, or Jen S, or Robin A, or Jennifer P. My guess is they are all cute girls so he wants them coming back. Good Luck.

Never rented from here, and never will!
I called to ask how many jet skis THEY HAD since I needed 6. He asked for what day and I said Monday. He then replied that I needed to fill out a form and reserve them. I reiterated my question «How many do you guys have» as in own to be sure thia company has enough. He replied again by saying the same thing. So I told him he’s not understanding my question and replied that’s he’s not retarded and speakes English than transfered me to another sales associate.
The second associate answers my question and says over 20. I then ask how much it will be for Mon if I get 6 obviously looking for a bargain. He replies 149 a day for MONDAY. I informed him that his website says 99 a day for monday and he shrugged and said were updating the site and hung up.
Usually, I don’t take things personal, but the fact that two people here were complete jerks I did. So I came to Unilocal to draft a review, report them to the BBB, derate on google+, and update every social media outlet I have.
I should of viewed there rating first before even calling. I would have expected this.

I just got off the phone with Ryan about helping me find a Whip Mount for my Quad. I never thought they would carry any of these for sale but they did. Not only did i get what i needed but they had color choices i could choose from LOL!
This is why i called them first. They have the right people over there and they have always been very helpful. I figured that they could put me in the right direction on this one because i was not renting a Quad But AS USUAL they went above and beyond!!!

The prices are very reasonable and the staff is always so helpful and nice. I’ve been renting from this place for around six or seven years and have never had any of the problems these people have listed. I assume not every company can be perfect, but these guys here definitley come pretty close.

I called them this afternoon to find out the details of renting some jet skis. This is my first time every renting jet skis so I called with the intention of getting some answers and some recommendations. Anyhow, I explained to him my situation and he recommended 2 jet skis and then this is when it got bad and totally innappropriate. The guy starts off by saying, «it’s better to rent 2 and not be like these Mexi’s who rent 1 for 50 of them… We’re in Anaheim so we’re in the heart of that so they ruined it for everyone… they rent one and use it for their 18 kids… I don’t know what ethnicity you are but yea, that’s our recommendation, go with 2 jet ski’s.»
Wow… Well, it’s a good thing this Mexi went to graduate school and learned to enunciate my words properly. Fooled this person into thinking I was anything but a «Mexi». It’s sad that poeple generalize and stereotype so much. I would hope that when people read this review, they think twice about giving this place any business.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE ! From a professional and ethical standpoint this place is a joke. I was unfortunate to come across this place last friday on May 4^th. I rented two jet skis for the weekend. The price seemed good for four day rental — return is at Monday before 5 pm.
Upon arrival to Pyramid Lake we soon discovered the skis had to be bone dry in order to pass inspection. Ours were given to us soaking with no warning about some virus spreading through wet marine vehicles. 1 day and morning wasted drying these three passenger skis. To our dismay we discover the faster ski doesnt work. We call rentrtoyz and they can do nothing for us. 250 wasted plus 540 on deposit and insurance.
Upon our return we made sure to arrive on time as its a dollar for ever late. minute. As soon as they open the seat cover this guy called James jumps to conclusions by insinuating we jammed the drive train with a paper towel we used to dry it. First of all the tiny shreds of paper towel wouldnt be in there if they did their job and called pyramid lake instead of bullshitting us. Second of all barely any traces of paper were in there much less enough to jam the damn drive train. The mechanic confirms I am right. They couldnt explain why it couldnt work so they tell us we MUST HAVE FLIPPED IT. The piece of crap didnt work before it even entered the water ! I told him to check the engine for tell tale signs.
After two days of US calling them they tell us it wasnt flipped but we owe 300 for a scratch. I flip and he takes 100 off for the inconvenience of a broken jet ski. WHAT A JOKE NEVER AGAIN! I would love to shut these con artists down.

Based on the previous comments/​reviews I read on this place I was very nervous and skeptical to rent from here. Last think I needed was the be over charged for some non sense damages. Well, I dove in and rented from this place anyway.
James (an employee there) gave me a deal I couldnt refuse and took it. I rented a Polaris 250 and didn’t have any issues with it. Until… my GF knocked it on its side and bent the cage.
At this point I was sure I was going to get charged all kinds of fees just to fix/​replace the cage. But to my surprise they gave me the option to purchase the replacement cage through them for 280, or I could find it myself. I ended up finding it for 103 so it was a whole lot less. They accepted the replacement and the damage has been taken care of.
The only negative experience i had about all this was when I returned the quad the owner came out to inspect the damages and wanted to blame me for a lot of other damages. He was a bit anal about all the other stuff, but the pictures that were taken prior to me taking it saved me from paying additional damages.
In conclusion, my overall experience was good. I caused some damages, and they let me replace the parts on my own. If I need another rental I’ll def come back but only if James is still around.
