Eva Yong, MD

I visited this office today and I met Dr. Eva Yong. She is such a funny person, I loved her! I love that she took the time to explain to me the test I was going to have done. Encourage me to eat healthier and exercise. I ended up forgetting to ask something really important so I left her a voicemail message (After Office Hours) & she returned the call (Wow) that suprised me because I figured would probably have to wait until tomorrow.

I have been a patient here for awhile now, I am currently going through a medical problem, I am very uncomfortable and in pain. I have been sent from this doctor to do several tests with different doctors, my last test was in September 2015 and I have not still received my results.
I have call every single day a few times a day and left several messages, and did not get one call back! Their voicemail inbox was full and I went to check the very next day and it was empty again which means they have received my messages.
I have found made an appointment with a new doctor to help me out with my situation, so I can get it resolved right away and not have to wait months in pain and discomfort to get my results or a call back!
This is absolutely ridiculous, and I hope my results I was suppose to get, don’t say its more serious than It is, because it will not turn out great for them in the end.
My health is important, and they do not care to get you taken care of!
I do not recommend this doctor or facility to anyone!

This is my second time here and this visit is no different from my last… I’ve been laying naked on this table for about an hour. I could just hear the dr outside my door chit chatting. It’s cool it’s not like I’m not tired from a long day of work and sitting in an hour traffic both ways, or starving cause my last meal was at 11. I don’t have other plans or anything.
I definitely believe this will be my last time here. It’s just not worth it. I’m sorry, but I left work early to just sit and wait over an hour for my appt. There are more professional doctors that have better time management out there.
Update– 4÷11÷15 I tried to go pick up my refill for birth control at my pharmacy and surprise surprise I don’t have a refill because Dr. Eva Yong did not put it in like she said she would on Wednesday. I’m so frustrated.

Dr. Young as well as the receptionist are very pleasant. My issue was with the wait time and efficiency of the office. The office is a small one provider office and this means that everything requested had to be paid for. The second problem which is the reason I am looking for a new Primary Care Physician is the wait time. Thought Dr. Young is a very nice doctor, waiting for 2 hours during a work day and still not being seen was very unprofessional. I had gone in to receive a recommendation to see specialist. Unfortunately they would not suggest anyone over the phone and I was told to come into the office for an appointment to receive any information. I did so and was very disappointed in the over 2 hour wait time. Not only was the wait ridiculous but I left the office without seeing the doctor or getting a name of the specialist. I am currently seeing a new primary care physician. Having worked in the healthcare industry, I have not experienced such an unprofessional environment.

Dr. Yong is amazing! She is a great doctor with awesome patient care. Her patients all love her! Thank you Dr.Yong.

If there was an option to put negative stars, I would!!!
She is the most horrible doctor I have ever seen in my life. I would have to wait hours and hours to see her just for her to be disrespectful. Last year I was constantly sick and had terrible stomach pain constantly. I had to get multiple procedures to perform tests on my stomach, just for them to be inconclusive. This was the most frustrating point in my life and Dr. Yong accused me of being psychotic and told me i was making everything up in my mind, even though every day was filled with terrible pain I knew existed.
She even asked me if I think I should be put in a psych ward –_​_​_​–
Come to find out almost a year later still in terrible pain, I finally got my appendix removed and diagnosed with an auto immune disease! Thankfully there were real doctors in the world to help me other than Dr. Yong.
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR!!!

Dr. Yong is the BOMB!!!
The one bad review on here must have been a «Murphy’s law» day for that woman.
I drive all the way from Long Beach just to stay with Dr. Yong. She is caring, compasssionate, takes her time with you. She gets to know you as a person. When I go to see her she always asks about my partner who is a patient as well. What Dr. from Kaiser would remember things about your personal life? You never feel rushed. I have gone in and discussed migraines, back pain, menopause, anxiety, and had a pap all within one hour. She is the real deal!!!

Worth the Wait!
The best doctor I have had in my life. She takes her time, is willing to listen & will work to find the right answer or solution.
Be advised that the wait does take awhile, but this is because she takes her time with each patient. Set some time aside to visit her– worth the wait!

HORRIBLE & HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE — 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES COMPLETELY WASTED & DIDN’T EVEN GET TO MEET THE DOCTOR… DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.
First time to this office/​Doctor. I scheduled my appointment a month ahead of time for 10:00 AM. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my paperwork. There is one couple sitting in the waiting room.
At 10:22 there are now three other couples sitting in the waiting room and the front desk person calls my name and says that a room is ready for me, but there is a problem; the BLINDS DON’T CLOSE all the way making the EXAM ROOM VISIBLE from the outside… but it is on the 7^th floor so it’s up to me.
I am very concerned as this visit was for my yearly exam which normally includes a PAP and breast exam… so I ask if I can have another room. She said yes, but that there were a lot of walk-​ins so she didn’t know how much longer the wait would be; so I said I guess it will have to work (as I had already been waiting for 25 minutes past my appointment time and I needed to get to work after my appointment).
I changed awkwardly into the paper trying to avoid the open window in the freezing cold exam room. I wait patiently on the table… then lie down for awhile… then sit back up because I think I hear someone coming… then lay back down trying to keep warm… and it feels like an eternity. No one has even come by to greet me or update me in any way so I look at my phone and it is 11:30!!! I had been WAITING FOR ONE HOUR!!!
I immediately call the front desk girl from my room and asked when the doctor would be in; she said I don’t know, she should be there soon… I told her I had been waiting over an hour and needed to get to work and asked if she could please find the doctor and ask her to see me ASAP. She said she can’t do that and said she should be there soon.
20 minutes later @ 11:50 am… nearly 2 HOURS LATER… still, no one has come into my room. I am so upset and frustrated at this point that I didn’t even feel comfortable with her touching me so I put my clothes on and walk out. The doctor is standing right there in the hallway and says NOTHING to me, she won’t even look at me, she just looks down and walks away slowly! I ask for a refund of my co-​payment which took an additional 10 minutes, the front desk girl doesn’t even apologize to me even though she knows I had been waiting so long and am very clearly upset. It is now 12:00 PM and I have completely wasted 2 hours and 15 minutes without ever even meeting the doctor.

she’s unlike other doctors in that she actually treats you like a person, not just another insurance claim.
switched to dr. yong as my PCH because my former doctor was probably the most horrible doctor i’d ever encountered.
it was such a surprise to sit with a doctor that actually listens and is willing to spend time with you.
in the risk of increasing my wait times with dr. yong, i’d highly recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yong for over 15 years. She not only treats the body but you as a whole person. She actually listens to you. She is caring. There is a wait to see her because she NEVER rushes you out. It is worth the wait. She is the BEST!
