It is a good place… It would be even better, if they wouldn’t refuse you a cup of water. The rude bartender Lola screamed at me and told me I had to buy a water bottle… She said the faucet was broken and that’s why she couldn’t give me water… I don’t understand. Then how do they wash the dishes? Or clean? I didn’t mind buying the water bottle but the way she told was extremely rude! So what happens when people get super drunk and want a glass of water? Do they refuse it just because they want you to buy«their» water bottle? How does that place even run with a «broken faucet» I was so upset. I just can’t believe she would yell at me. Specially when my friends and I spent about $ 500 on bottle service… Smh.,

The hours are not at all updated got here at 7pm and stayed a few mins and never opened went to target it’s like 730 and still not open… We even bought your stupid Unilocal coupon… Very disappointed. So we still wanted to try it and we called and they informed us they opened at 9 pm so we stayed in the area. We arrived at 9 pm and I went to open the door and this bouncer dude asked if he could help us(we made reservations on Unilocal for 9pm) we told him we had reservation at 9pm and he said they didn’t open till 10pm… Wtf? So uhhhh yeah this place is pretty annoying… We have to go back sometime because we have this dumb Unilocal coupon thing but idk… It’s kind of annoying for them to have their hours on Unilocal listed as open at 7 and called to be told that it was not open till 9 then to be turned away at the door because they don’t open till 10… Even though their sign listed 7pm… Fix yo Shiiiiet please.

Man! What a gem! This place has some of true best tasting Cuban food I’ve ever eaten and I used to live in south Florida. You can look right into the kitchen and it clean as it gets. Each dish was better then the last and the tacos are so tasty with a wonderful moist tenderness to the meat and flavors.

Got there place was empty, but the service was great. Staff was friendly. We used a free appetizer offer within the Unilocal app. Food was great. Highly recommended.

Went to Cuban Petes on friday night with a few of my girl friends and had blast! The DJ played really good music a litte bit of everything merengue, salsa, cumbia, rock en espanol, bachata, banda, hip hop and even some 80’s. Staff was really friendly and nice. Bottle service was pretty cheap too. The only negative thing is that its a litte out dated and when you first walk in its smells a little funky but other then that we would definitely go back.

The food is really awful for anyone that knows about real Cuban food. I“m a big foody as well as Cuban and it’s a HUGE thing for me to say I couldn’t eat the food. The coconut shrimp was neither coconut or fresh but frozen… really? The bathrooms are disgusting, the music so loud it’s obnoxious and the«styling» of the place is somewhere between a bad Mexican restaurant and a mediocre Italian restaurant. I do have to say that the fellow teaching dancing there was superb. Friendly, knowledgeable and charming to boot. I really hope this place makes it. It would be wonderful to have a nice place to go and dance and watch others dance but it needs ALOT of work, starting with the exposed wiring and the leaky entrance that had four buckets catching the water dripping in from the rain. They were caulking around the lamps inside while I was finding out the food was inedible. Keeping my fingers crossed the owners have the funds to do this right, otherwise, they are doomed.

Been to this place a few times. It’s a cool atmosphere. A nice place and the servers and all employees are very friendly. The only thing is that it’s too expensive for what it is. First: I think valet parking is completely unnecessary. Parking is very close to the door even if you park at Target. That valet money can be better spent inside. You’ll need it. …and second: The bar. A 12oz. Modelo should NEVER be $ 7. What is this? .Vegas? Expensive drinks screw the bartenders out of better tips and total sales. Overall: It’s a nice place but too expensive.

Miss the ORIGINAL Cuban Pete’s on Ball Rd! Amazing authentic Cuban and great music. This place is NOTHING compared to it. The food was not authentic Cuban food and expensive. Ropa Vieja tasted like machaca and rice was mushy. Had fun dancing but too much Cumbia and Norteñas for a CUBAN place. Definitely a place to go in a group.

This is not a food Review, but a business review: I befriended Cuban Pete“s a couple of months ago on Facebook. Immediately, I started receiving notifications on my phone that consumed my Face Book calendar. I have contacted them only for them to tell me that they haven’t done anything and it is me that has done something on my phone. So after numerous requests to either un tag or remove my email nothing is done. Because according to this business they don“t have my email or anything. I have since blocked this business on Face Book. Surprising enough, my Face Book calendar continues to fill up with their weekly advertisements. So, for anyone out there who live and conduct a business from their phones don’t befriend them. There is no way to delete these posts from your calendar.

Very crowded and too many drunks on the dance floor spilling drinks. If you want to dance salsa this is not the place. You cant sit anywhere because tables are all reserved, so if you want to take a little break from dancing its next to impossible. It seems as though this club is more intrested in the drinking cliente rather then the dancers because they profit more with the drunks. You have to purchase dinner or bottle service to even sit down. I avoid this place even though its a few blocks down the street. Go to granada or even tapas for salsa.

There’s 2 Cuban Pete’s. One in LBC& this one. I’m reviewing the club not the food. Let’s start. The place is small. On Friday’s it’s a much older crowd & they have a live band playing. They play a lot of salsa, some merengue & some bachata. Speaking about Bachata quick story. Just this Friday I went I saw the most amazing women in my life. Tall slim with curves, short hair big eyes. I asked her to dance she said no at first. I smile & told her«One song, it won’t hurt» she said yes. We were dancing then they played Bachata :(she asked If I knew how to dance that. I told her a little we called it quits. I’m learning but I was so intimidated by her I didn’t know what to do. She was older & Italian. Back to the review. They play some English music during the band’s break. The drinks are at average prices. The crowd so, so. There’s some good looking people not a lot, but hey if you want to dance that’s the place to be. The bar is away from the dance floor. It’s a good thing because you can just hangout by the bar area & relax. That’s what I do order a Mojito & relax. Now on Saturday’s they play more English, there’s no live band. A little more good looking people. Tips & Surroundings: There’s a total of 3 restrooms for girls 2 by the dance floor(kind of hidden) one by the hall. Only 2 restrooms for guys. But most guys go for the first restroom, go to the second one. No one is there… Free Entrance both nights all night. Also Just mention Jose Luis Figueroa his a friend of mine, just to help him out. He promotes there! Valet is $ 10-$ 20 you can also park on Target. A lot of people do it… Target is next to the club. The freeway is near by. There’s a Taco place around too. Overall the place is ok. Go with a group of friends(I recommend it) The staff is friendly & so is the bartenders. The place itself doesn’t look upscale but what matters is if you’re into Salsa this is a little place to check out. Bottom line this is a place to have fun with friends. Not to go & hook up! But hey some people make connections anywhere so go on with your bad self.

I have been to the one in LB but let me tell you this one is not really there. My bestie and I got there! The bartenders were awesome but the club itself was very outdated, it’s like if I was dancing with my mom Tia and grandma! They really need to update the building!!! It has so much potential to be something huge because it’s in Lincoln Street close to the freeway closed everything. A little bit of paint would go so far. And please remove the Neon lights it looks like a strip joint but in the low class maybe TJ area. I’m telling you it’s not a bad location. It just needs lots of TLC!!!

I’m an old time Cuban Petes fan! Have been following them around every location. Tonight was my first time checking this location out and I’m totally disappointed! First off, $ 10 to valet, and don’t even get me started on $ 7 beer! Seriously?!? Who do you think you are charging that much for a beer?!? Ridiculous. I can go down the street to another club and pay $ 4. I’m so disappointed.

The food was good. It had good portions and tasted great! The service was very fast and we had great customer service. They made sure we got everything we needed and the staff were very friendly. The drinks were really cheap & the music is fun. I also got the clam and it tasted so good. Great place to go for a fun time. I had a great time.

Just Recently Checked This Place Out! Food Was Delicious I Ordered The Masas De Puerco Frito, Very Satisfied With My Drink Orders! The Waitress Had Great Customer Service, Made Sure Everything Was Running Smoothly. Very Satisfied With My Visit, I’ll Most Definitely Be Returned To Try Other Things On The Menu!

Food sucks. Music is great. Don’t order food. I ordered shrimp and regretted it right away… the Spanish music is great for dancing. They valet. The manager continued to make sure our table was doing okay and comped the food and gave us a round of drinks. Not going back though. It’s nothing like the old place in Long Beach.

This is more of a nightclub than a restaurant. The music was a little too loud and the service was slow and the people at work I was with we had to literally scream at each other so we could hear each other over the loud music. The Quality of the food was okay but it was definitely not fresh food more likely it was frozen. I had the garlic chicken and my wife had the roasted pork which was okay but not great, The Cuban food at this restaurant is okay but there are much better restaurants in the area. The portions were small but they did load you up on the rice. Parking at this restaurant is also a nightmare and I would not valet your car as the valets were kind of rough with the cars and speeding around. All in all I was disappointed, my wife was disappointed and the other couple I was with was disappointed but maybe over time they’ll change their ways and clean up the restaurant.

I ordered the mofongo. It had a bit too much garlic and the chicken was dry even with all the sauce. Service was ok, good music. They honored my appetizer comp.
