Burtons Gems And Opals

I have am so happy I stopped by last year. My favorite vintage turquoise bracelet needed the stone replaced & they had the most beautiful replacement stone. The repair was completed quickly and professionally.
I now stop by when I need to buy gifts, as they seem to get new items regularly. Also the prices are very reasonable.
I can’t say enough nice things about the great service & the wonderful staff.

This store is fabulous! We went in last May to look for something special for our daughter’s graduation. Carrie helped us and she was great at showing us different pieces and giving us information on the various opals and gems. We picked out a gorgeous opal and she gave us a really great deal. This shop is a little far away from where we live, but when we are in the market for a new piece of jewelry, we will definitely be coming back. They even invited us to their Christmas dinner party and called us six months later to remind us. Very thoughtful and great customer service!

This place is truly the best place around. I could not be happier with the quality of jewelry we have purchased from them. Do not waste your money at these large chain jewelry stores ! You get way more for your dollar here. They also do amazing custom jewelry.

My wife always loved her (deceased) mother’s wedding band. It is a yellow-​gold chain of daisies. Her sister, however inherited it. My wife and her sister are very close, so I was able to borrow the ring from my sister in law. Burton’s made a mold of the original ring and resized it to fit my wife’s ring size. They even improved her copy by redefining the detail. They did an outstanding job! The business owner, David is very friendly and very professional. He took time to explain the process and even polished the original ring, like new.

I have been a customer of this store for over 30 years. GREAT service. Quality work. I have left several of my valued pieces of jewelry with this facility (and will only bring here) when I needed it fixed or modified. I have also brought them my gold and had it melted down to make new pieces. I have been 100% satisfied with everything I have ever brought here. Trustworthy and quality workmanship. The only place I trust with my valuables.

This place is amazing. The people there are very helpful, kind, and friendly to all of their customers. All the people there have a very wide knowledge of gems and minerals. I love how they shared their stories with us about their adventures and the story of their stones as well. We were so impressed with the immense collection of gems, minerals, and rocks that they have. Many of the pieces are very very stunning and some you will never see anywhere again, not even in a museum. They are high quality and perfect for any of your geological interests. :)
Oh and their dogs are very friendly and gentle and they make a more comforting feel to the store.

Not a typical jewelry store. Ask to talk to Arlo (Fri-​Sat-​Sun). Very large selection of opals. Some are mounted in settings, many are loose so you can choose. They also have a sizable estate collection of opal jewelry. Arlo is the best, very informative and not pushy at all. The store also has a considerable amount of gemstones, plus fossils and stone carvings/​sculptures. A very interesting variety of items, the perfect place to find a unique gift. Prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent. I originally went in for some repairs and I had three rings sized and the prices are 50%-75% of what other stores charge, plus the work is done on-​site. One ring I brought in for repair, not an expensive ring, was a very poor design for holding the primary stone, and Arlo arranged to have the mounting re-​worked to hold better and not stick up so tall, and for a great price. The result was wondeful. What it boils down to is that my wife is VERY happy with the end result. The store dogs are great too, very friendly and likable. I will definitely give them more of my own business in the future. Did I mention that Arlo is phenomenal? Stop in and look around, you probably will not be disappointed.

Interesting store is filled with all sorts of geologic finds, from simple rocks that have been polished (an entire barrel-​ful!) — great for kids who are into rocks and minerals! — to high end one of a kind pieces.
My daughter is putting layaway payments (no interest or time limit, it seems) on an iridescent opal that is already mounted as a pendant.
This store will mount your loose gems for you, or you can simply choose from pieces that are already on display.
The store owner/​Manager is also very friendly and dispenses factoids about many other gems in the store. He even let us take one opal out in the sunlight and I was nervous about dropping or breaking it because it was $$$$$!

Been going to this store since I was a little kid. The store is full of interesting things, I bought several little goodies that I am excited about and am getting a silver ring sized for a more than fair price. The staff is so knowledgeable and very delightful to talk to. I hope this store is around for another 40 years!

This is the most beautiful and amazing gem shop around. David is amazing and the whole crew is fantastic. I encourage everyone to go by there shop and have a great time and you will find most anything you are looking for.

I LOVE MY RING! I walked into the store hoping to find the perfect opal ring because I am obsessed with opal. So awesome I was able to customize my very own!!! Amazing customer service! My heart dropped when I finally received my FLAWLESS ring in the mail, this was truly worth the wait!!! Ten out of ten, would come again if I did not live so far:) haha

I walked out of this store extremely happy and with a little more knowledge about Opals and garnets thanks to Matt :) He worked with my budget and helped me find the perfect stones! Everyone was so welcoming at this little gem :) It made my day and I can’t wait to go back!

My fiancé and I went in to find something for our wedding. We didn’t want to do simply rings, we wanted bracelets, a more visible symbol of our love. To be honest, I was not expecting much from the place, but once I entered I was blown away! The store clerk Matt, was patient and a great listener. He took our simple description of our wants and gave us several choices that fit almost exactly to our needs. The store owner David, was a wonderful man, offering anecdotes on good marriage advice as well as sharing his knowledge of each stone and gem in his store. The vibe of the store itself was quite welcoming and I do believe this will be the place to get my gifts for our anniversary !

Wow! I love this jeweler. They made my engagement ring and I couldn’t be happier with it.
