Atmosphere Events was professional and easy to work with from start to finish. Joe guided us through the planning stages and took time to answer all of our questions and gave really helpful suggestions. We were able to plan through the written song requests guide Atmosphere Events provided. When the big day came, DJ Max made the party unforgettable! His positive, upbeat attitude was exactly what we needed after dealing with the stress of all the wedding reception details. He set up everything on time, the lighting and gobo looked amazing, and he played all the songs we requested! We are super happy with DJ Max who kept everyone dancing all night long! We are very satisfied with the Atmosphere Events team and highly recommend them for any occasion!

DJ Max was awesome. The planning with Joe went smoothly. We then meth with Max for the specifics provided our likes and dislikes. He provided suggestions for some songs shrink key times and he stuck to our playlist. The only time people sat down at our wedding was when their feet hurt from dancing so much. This wedding was a long time coming and I’d recommend Max to any one looking for some great music and the perfect addition to your event. Thanks Max!

Joe and DJ Max from Atmosphere Events were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding at Crystal Cove in November 2015. They were prompt, professional, and genuinely excited for our special day throughout the entire process. The reception went off without a hitch thanks to DJ Max, and our guests had an amazing time on the dance floor! It was truly a magical evening. In addition to all of this, their prices are extremely reasonable and well worth it.
If you’re getting married in OC and need a reliable, professional, fun, and talented DJ (without hours of research) — I can’t recommend Atmosphere Events enough!

I was referred to Atmosphere Events by my wedding coordinator. I trust her 100% so I went with it. We made a appointment with Joe to meet him and talk about the DJ packages and pricing. I will say that he was nice but he didn’t have the most outgoing personality. But he had been referred so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. What they had to offer was pretty cool. He showed us all the lighting options and talked about all the packages. Compared to the other djs we had interviewed, it seemed like the best option. We ended up meeting Richard (the Dj who would be working our wedding) and he was really nice. So we booked them. During the planning process, there was not really any communication with Joe except for when he wanted a payment. Joe had allowed us to split up the deposit into two payments which was nice. We had had to put down so many dang deposits for the wedding at once which was a lot so that was helpful. He gave us a deadline for the second half which was fine but before the deadline even hit he had asked for that payment. My mom called to give him her CC # and left a message because there was no answer. He had contacted me and was a little hostile in demanding the payment and when I said my mom had called him, it felt like he was implying that I was a liar. Wow. Some people just don’t know how to communicate and watch how they say things. Anyways, there was no checking in or actual planning going on, which I guess thats how he does things. There is a packet that we fill out about our requested ceremony songs and all the details. I sent that to him before the requested 2 weeks prior to the wedding. We had told him we would give him a list of songs that we wanted played during the reception as well and he confirmed that was fine. So we sent him that as well. A little more than a week, Richard, The DJ, contacted me to set up a call to go over details and if there were any questions, we could address them then. He suggested a time that I agreed to and he had to cancel last minute due to a last minute event he had to work. So the next suggested time I had agreed on got pushed to a time that did not work for my mom or I. It was a little frustrating so we contacted Joe and he said that Richard had confirmed that we were set for a phone call at the time I told him didn’t work. So i set up an email with both of them in one so there would be no confusion and Joe did not seem happy about that. He responded that he was «not going to get involved.» I am sorry but if we are going through you to hire one of YOUR Dj’s then you need to be involved if we are not getting the service we are paying for. And that confirmed that personality flaw that I had felt in the beginning. It just seemed that Joe was trying to scoop up our business when we first met and once we booked him, I felt we weren’t treated that nice. With Richard, I understood he had a daytime job too so it made it hard for him to coordinate a phone call. Understandable. But no matter what, he was always respectful. When we finally got our phone call with Richard, he was asking me a bunch of questions that he should of already known from me sending the «ceremony profile» to Joe. Turns out that Joe had not given Richard any of my wedding details to Richard at all and he was completely in the dark about it. Like I said, Joe booked us already so no need for him to actually run his company with his paid clients anymore, right? So I resent all the information to Richard directly and we got everything in order. As for the wedding itself, everything turned out beautifully. The uplighting was great and so was Richard. He went off the lists we gave him and really worked the crowd which was a concern of mine with any DJ we hired. He was super upbeat and on point. He even emailed me after the wedding to say a last congratulations and a thank you. If Richard had his own company, I would hire him separately but I do not reccommend Atmosphere. The company isn’t the worst but its certainly not the best and why settle and make your planning experience more stressful that its already going to be. Every other vendor I had for my wedding was so incredible and even created some special friendships in the process so this vendor was a bit of a bummer. I don’t really post many reviews but I got about 5 emails from Joe asking for a review so here it is.

Joe has been amazing. Especially with his newborn he has still been able to manage all of our wedding details. My wedding was on a yacht so we were so pressed for time and needed to stay on top of the schedule. He was perfect! I would definitely refer all my engaged friends. Thank you Joe for making our special day so perfect! We love you!

Joe was a great DJ and played a wonderful variety of music all night! Atmosphere also provided string lights all through the trees for our outdoor wedding/​reception and it was beautiful!

I just want to say MAX was amazing!!! The best DJ ever!!! He kept the party going all night!!! he even SANG at my wedding! He was the best dJ I could ever ask for!!! We used Atmosphere Events for lighting, dance floor and DJ services. DJ Paxton was our DJ and did an amazing job with keeping the crowd happy, pumped, and on the dance floor. Our wedding party and guests are big dancers so it was crucial to have a solid DJ. He played exactly what we wanted and did a great job mashing up the music and not playing basic typical wedding music you sometimes get at weddings. Lighting had dance floor was adjusted the day of in our favor. Originally we planned to have it on the grass but the venue re did their venue a bit and enabled us to have it right next to the doors of the banquet hall. It worked out perfectly and we were very happy of the location and the look of the dance floor and lighting outside. Thank you Joe and Atmosphere Events!

We chose Atmostphere Events for our DJ and lighting at our wedding and they were so great! Joe was professional and sold us on the services they offer. Richard was our DJ and he was AMAZING! SO happy with him. Wedding planning is hard, had I knocked out finding a dj sooner, I would have had way less anxiety, because the second we started doing business with them, our time line finally came together. They have a multi page layout with time frames and songs that play literally during every little thing throughout the wedding that really put you at ease when planning out the day. (like what song will play when you walk down the isle, catch the garter, cut the cake, songs during dinner, etc etc etc!!) We always recommend Atmosphere Events and DJ RICHARD to everyone we know having an event.

I hired Atmosphere Events for my wedding and they were WONDERFUL! Joe is a true and thorough professional. I was not Bridezilla at all (Bridechilla) and I didn’t really have a lot of songs that needed to get played at my wedding. I told Joe that I wanted a dance party and to feel out the crowd and get everyone to dance. He did just that!!! I heard from a lot of people that it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to.
He also did the uplighting and he even through in a monogram for us for free, just because. That is some great service. He handled the drunk (read: insulting) wedding guests like a pro and kept the pace of the wedding.
We also got the photo booth which was fun and easy to use.
He was 100% worth the money and he deserves every good rating that he gets.

Joe was great at reading the room and keeping everyone dancing all night long. The lighting also was fantastic and I loved the intelligent fixtures that really made it feel like a party. Nice job guys!

The level of service I received from my DJ the day of the wedding was amazing. I had DJ Max. Max was so flexible with me and my schedule. I absolutely loved him! He calmed me down at every moment when I was feeling anxious and he played everything that I asked him to and even belted out my first dance, which was an amazing surprise. It made my first dance all the more special. He kept me on schedule but allowed for some flexibility and having been a bride that did not have a coordinator, I was so grateful that Max was there to help things move along. Also, working with Joe up to the date of my event was really easy and he is so extremely organized and thorough. The most professional and caring individuals I have ever dealt with-​truly. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely fantastic company. They have a great show room set up. We just used DJ Richard for our wedding and he really made the wedding a total success. He was full of energy and our Dance floor was packed the entire time. I don’t usually give a good rating, but this company deserves it.

From the beginning, Joe at Atmosphere Events was extremely helpful and very professional. He was the first dj we met with when we were looking for a DJ for our wedding and we knew we could stop searching. Their pricing is reasonable, very knowledgeable (which was very helpful for my husband and I who don’t know song titles or artists). We both felt very confident in our choice of dj but we’re totally blown away by how amazing they were in action. Everyone was on the dance floor having a good time but what touched my heart is that they helped with set up if curtains that my in-​laws had made for us for the reception. It’s the small things that count. I knew they wanted to make my big day as wonderful as it can possibly be. I don’t have enough good things to say about them!

DJ Bobby was awesome! He did everything you could want from a DJ– he kept the dance floor hopin’ which is what I wanted. He help with announcements, he even helped me when the keep thinsg moving (I had a wedding corrdinator for my wedding but she was pretty useless). He was sooooo nice too. And Joe, the owner, worked directly with my venure to find out what they could not provide and rented me the other lighting I needed to complete my event. Oh– and DJ Bobby took video of our grand exit and put on instagram with our hastag– i didn’t even know he had done that until I got back from the honeymoon– it was a great surprise!

My new husband and I are so grateful to have worked with Atmosphere’s team to make our wedding day the magical time that it was. With all the moving parts and people, we know we couldn’t have pulled off a flawless ceremony and reception without DJ Steve Dub’s help!
We can’t thank Steve & the Atmosphere team enough for helping us throw an amazing party, complete with the non-​stop funk we always dreamed of having at our party. According to our entire guest list, Steve was «the best wedding DJ ever.» :)

Joe Paxton and Dj Henry were very professional and organized. They made everything easy for us to plan and followed up with us week of the wedding. Picking the right DJ was very important to my husband and I. We wanted our wedding guests to all have a blast and dance the night away and that’s exactly what happened!
I requested DJ Henry to do a mix of John Legend’s All of Me for our first dance and he hit it right on the nose!
During the wedding DJ Henry played all the songs we requested and stuck to all the genres we requested too!
You won’t regret booking Atmosphere Events for any event!

Joe Paxton is very organized and thorough. My wife is an organizational freak and loves when people are on top of their stuff and experienced. Joe had some paperwork we had to fill out that basically went through the entire ceremony and wedding so we can see where music is needed. If we didn’t know what song to play, he had good suggestions.
My wife and I are 80’s babies so grew up with old school west coast hip hop, boy bands, and pop. We are also from the Bay Area so wanted yay area hits. My wife is filipino so we also needed oldies classics and line dancing music. This is a pretty strange mix of music but Joe pulled it off! All our guests commented on how much fun they had and complimented the music.
If you’re on the fence about getting a professional DJ vs having a friend do it or using iTunes, spend some money on the DJ. I definitely don’t think the vibe of our wedding woud be the same without Joe.
