We’ve been enjoying our beautiful APlus kitchen for over two months now. It far exceeded our expectations. The entire process from initial design to product selection to installation was thorough and professional. We’ve done many home improvement projects over the years and our kitchen is by far the nicest project we’ve done.
If you’re looking to have your kitchen remodeled, I highly recommend a visit to APus to see their facility and the quality of the cabinets they make. I was blown away and didn’t know a company like this existed. True design, manufacturing and installation of high quality custom kitchens.
Lastly, I want to comment on the staff. APlus has an amazing crew. They are courteous, meticulous in their work and truly care about making their clients happy. As much as we were excited for our kitchen to be completed, we truly miss having their great staff around.

After seeing reviews on Unilocal and their photos, I requested a quote on kitchen and bath remodel. A gentlemen came with samples of cabinets finishes. I loved how he took his time to explain everything even when I found out the work was going to be outside my budget.
I would definitely give APlus a shot when I want to get the best quality work.

We had our kitchen completely gutted and remodeled by Alex and APlus back in 2007 and it still looks great today. They have first rate cabinets with all the right finishing touch options, and handle all other aspects of the job (backsplash, granite, lighting, appliance selection, etc) with a knowledgeable and thorough staff.
We found a very nice wooden hood for over the range but it was too large for our application. APlus was able to recreate it and customize it to fit our kitchen. That’s what you get with APlus and Alex, a guy who knows good kitchen design, cares about the customer’s happiness throughout the project, provides a quality product and delivers stellar customer service.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend APlus.

Two years ago, I chose this company because of the ratings and reviews. My 5′ by 12′ master bathroom took 4 months to complete. I felt as if my bathroom was worked on whenever A Plus could fit it in between other jobs. Some weeks, workers came in only once a week. My shower door was fitted at least 3 times, the grout in the shower cracked and was needed it to be replaced with additive, a cracked stone tile was set and had to be replaced, the granite had multiple chips which needed to be sanded, the shower drain was grouted in, and the design required the towel rack to be placed on the inside of the shower door. The only reason why I gave 3 stars is because the vanity was beautifully made with ¾ inch thick doors. The stone tiles and grout in the shower and floors are gorgeous. I felt the end result is a beautiful master bathroom.

Very reliable, outstanding customer service, and easy to work with. Alex really cares about his work as well as his clients. You will not go wrong working with him!

We had the whole house renovation (from new windows to wood floor, all new baseboard, kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Removing structure to open kitchen space to creating a new shower in the powder room bath and filling in the step down living room). This review is a over year late. We wanted to live in it and use the cabinets and drawers to make sure everything is good before we give our review. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets are beautiful and of excellent high quality. The wood floor is gorgeous and many compliments. Actually we got complements of everything in the house from the windows and floor and bath and kitchen. Alex has a good heart, a great guy that runs an honest family business. I appreciate he tells me how it is on certain things and to be realistic and not to spend more. He figures ways to save me $. He sent someone back to do some touch up that I noticed months later. Of course there are some bumps on the way during the renovation but with the massive renovation we think it was not too bad and very happy we chose Aplus. Could be little more organize at times but I am not in this business so hard to say. All the guys came are so nice and works very hard. Big shout to Eddie, Joe, Juan, Robert (electrician), Bob, David, Patrick n Joe (plummer), Mark, so many people to thanks. Sorry if I forgot or couldn’t remember everyone. I couldn’t believe all the work and details that went into the house. We are very happy with our new beautiful home. I smile every morning walking down to our kitchen to make coffee.

We just completed a project with APlus Interior Design & Remodeling and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The kitchen looks amazing! We recently bought a house and it needed major updates. Initially, we were going to work with our general contractor to remodel the entire house, but after reading reviews about APlus and their custom cabinetry, my husband and I were excited to tour the factory. After the visit to their factory and meeting Alex and team, we were sold.
We don’t have a big kitchen space, but Alex was able to design a layout that works perfectly for our kitchen. They are very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. With a complete home remodel, we had to schedule and time every task correctly to make sure the project completes on time. We had so many requests, but they were willing to work with our aggressive schedule. The whole team was incredibly easy to work with and they are very responsive. Due to city approvals and permits, our project got delayed by 3 weeks. APlus finished our cabinets on time and they were willing to hold our cabinets in their factory until the house was ready. During the installation stage, the team did a superior job. They paid great attention to detail and cleaned up the work site nicely after the project was completed.
We absolutely love our new custom kitchen and eating area. The quality of the custom cabinetry is very high-​end and top-​notch. Thank you A Plus for giving us the kitchen of our dreams! I cannot say enough good things about the team at APlus. From the initial design to the final installation it was always a pleasant experience. Having one company take care of every aspect of a major remodel made things so much easier for us! We did meet with many other contractors and remodeling companies, but APlus stood out. We completely demolished our kitchen and dining area to create a large modern kitchen, and it came out exceeding our expectations. It’s almost too pretty to use!

We went to A-​Plus twice and met with Alex both times he was very helpful and gave us great ideas, and really tried to work with our Budget. The last time we met he was about to take his lunch and since we had just got there he bought lunch for my wife and I thanks again Alex. There is also a new design consultant, she helped us make decisions and was also very helpful and knowledgeable she gave great advice. Although I have still not used them to do our remodel due to different issues at this time, I will definitely use them, their cabinets are definitely top of the line with the finest quality and materials used. We will gladly recommend A-​Plus to our friends and family.

We had APlus make, finish and install our kitchen cabinets after a water leak ruined our kitchen. 6 years later we needed our trash bin to be touched up due to wear near the handle. I was directed to speak with Liz Orejel and she quickly took care of me. She told me to bring in the trash bin door. She was personable and quickly made me feel I would be taken care of. A few days later she followed up with me to let me know I could come back and pick up my trash bin. It’s nice to know doing business with a local company has benefits like this. I’m reminded why I chose APlus, good people and a great product.

We are starting our third kitchen remodel with A+ and I would never consider working with anyone else in southern ca. I was referred to them through an appliance store about 8 years ago. They completed a new kitchen + 5 baths for us in our second home about 2 years ago (previously built our kitchen in our first house). Now, due to unfortunate circumstances related to a slab leak that caused extensive damage in our home, I have hired them once again, now for the third time and they’re rebuilding our kitchen in conjunction with our insurance claim. There aren’t many home contracting vendors that I would feel comfortable hiring for the third time, so this speaks loud and clear to the quality of their workmanship and product.
We live in a community with many upscale homes and people here have spent tens of thousands of dollars to remodel kitchens and I am consistently amazed by the lack of quality I see in these homes when compared to the finished product I have always received from A+. The workmanship of A+, everything from how they create their drawer corners to the box frames — and especially the finished stain or paint, does not compare to anything else I have ever seen and I consider myself a fairly savvy home remodeler.
In the world of home-​improvement options, these guys really standout standout from the rest. Again, I have yet to see better quality and workmanship — hands-​down, they’re the best. I don’t know the specifics, but I do remember they have a special process with how they bake on the stain/​paint in their factory, whereas other cabinet makers in CA are not allowed to do the same process. Apparently, A+ has some sort of a grandfathered permit that allows them to manufacture their cabinets in a different manner than what others can do who have not been in business as long. I believe this is one of the reasons their finished product is such a higher quality than what you see with their competition who stains/​paints in the home during installation.
In terms of working with them, yes everything takes longer than you would expect, and yes delays happen, but in the end, it is all well worth the wait and realistically it’s not completely unusual for the home improvement/​contracting industry to have delays for one reason or another. You should just know going in that whether you are working with A+, or anyone else for that matter, anything related to home improvement/​construction always takes longer than you expect!
Last but not least, I find it very unusual, yet welcoming in the construction business to have people work on your house who were the same people that did work for you 8 years ago! What does it say about a company when the installer, or other craftsmen who do work in your kitchen are the same people who were there almost 8 years ago? To me, this is a sign of a great company with a great culture and they care about their employees which means they will also take care of their customers — a rare thing in construction and home improvement because turnover and flakiness is all too common.

APlus installed the windows and sliding glass doors throughout my whole house. Their quality of product is amazing, which for me was so important. I worked with Joe, who was so wonderful. He was so personable and answered all my questions. We even shared pictures of our Labradors. The installers are top notch. I wouldn’t trust any other company with my home.

They worked with us for the design and architecture phase and we went over dozens of ideas and options and they ensured we maximized the whole flow of the space and accomplished what we wanted — we were removing a wall to enlarge the kitchen and dining — while working within our budget.
The materials selection was also a time consuming process that Alex and Aplus made sure what we selected was going to «work» together and give us the look we were going for.
The cabinetry is top notch — they are beautiful and well made with dovetail hinges and they did not «nickel and dime» me for upgrades through the process like I have experienced with several contractors before.
Simply put Aplus is A+!

Review: Estimation and planning
We started our kitchen remodel planning and estimation process a few months ago thinking that picking a contracting company and material should not be too hard and had a limited budget based on some target budget planning information found online. What we found is that there is so much more that goes into it as each room in the house flows into another and how the remodel affects it.
The team at APlus have been great to work with and opened our eyes to all that really goes into remodeling a kitchen including understanding the differences between material (pre-​fab, custom, etc.).
Alex and team have great ideas and input based on our requests and budget. We really like the custom work they do. They have been really honest and straight forward with us on what to expect and did not make us feel like they were just ‘selling’ me something.
We highly recommend APlus, at least from a planning standpoint. They will help you set better expectations and understanding of the process.
My next update/​review will be after construction.
8÷12÷15 — finally starting the process as it has taken us a year (no one’s fault but ours). Alex and team have been very patient with as we have changed plans, etc. He has given us many options and suggestions that has helped us finalize the design. We’re excited to start.

The majority of the reviews I’ve seen on this site deal with installs. Initial installation reviews are very important and should be put at the top of the list when looking for an interior design company. I also place their customer service and how companies support their work after the installation way on top of that list as well. I wanted to share my experience we recently had with Aplus, long after the initial installation. Their customer service and support truly deserves a 5 star rating.
In 2012, Aplus remodeled our kitchen. It was a major rework that involved taking out a load-​bearing wall, adding in all new appliances, redoing the counter tops and adding in a new range hood. We were very happy with the results.
It’s now been 2 years since the install (2014) and a few months ago, we noticed a small 3 inch crack in the ceiling where the range hood was installed. After a while, crack grew to about 12 inches and our big concern was that eventually, the hood would fall. We decided to contact Aplus to see if anything could be done to fix the problem. We talked to Liz at Aplus told her about the crack. She got all of our information and assured us that Aplus would stand behind their work. Liz put us in contact with the manager, Joe and we setup an appointment for Friday between 8am to 10am.
Eduardo from Aplus arrived at 8am that Friday morning. Eduardo took a look at the ceiling and went to work. He was very professional and covered everything before starting his work. Once the area was covered, he began cutting the ceiling around the hood to see exactly what was causing the crack. He cut away just enough to see that the supports around the hood was beginning to sag and that caused the crack. He took some pictures and sent it back to Joe. They both determined that the only way to truly fix the problem was to remove the old supports and put in new larger supports to hold up the hood. It was a two man job to take down the hood so they decided that it would be best to reschedule the work at a later time and get additional help for Eduardo.
After they got off the phone, Eduardo got a great idea of creating a support box to hold up the hood while he removed the supports. He explained to me in great detail how he would do it and made absolutely sure that I was okay with it before going forward with it. He also contacted Joe to make sure Joe agreed to the work. Eduardo went right to work building the box to support the hood. Once that was completed, he was able to remove the old supports around the hood and place new larger supports. He even added another row of supports. I don’t believe we’ll ever have a another problem with this hood.
He patched the ceiling, textured it and you could not tell that there was any work was done there. He pulled off all the ground cover and everything was cleaned up before he left with it. He was very professional. The entire work took the whole day. I appreciate that he did the work in one day rather than having to reschedule for another day to bring in another person to help him.
It’s great to know that Aplus will take good care of their customers, years after the installation.
Again, the deserve a solid 5 star rating!

Alex and his team at A Plus are a real class act: professional, knowledgable, creative, and with a beautiful cabinet shop where they craft each cabinet to their exacting standards. A Plus was recommended by three neighbors, who had nothing but good things to say and could not wait to show off their kitchen remodels.
Forced to redo my kitchen on a tight budget after a slab leak, I was afraid A Plus would come in way over on price because of their quality reputation. Alex was sensitive to my budget constraints while offering creative solutions to make my kitchen more functional for our family of five.

I highly recommend Aplus. We had three contractors bid on our kitchen remodel. Not only was Aplus the most reasonably priced, but Joe really listened to our needs,.Other contractors tried to bully us into things we didn’t need or want. Joe’s estimate was also the most thorough. We had a specific due date, and they worked to that date and completed early.
Our project manager was Nestor. He was fantastic. Calm and very responsive — Nestor always got back to my calls or texts very promptly. He also has a sense of urgency. When the original granite fabricator came back and told him that they would need three weeks for the fabrication, Nestor found another one that day who completed their part of the job in a week. Luis did our reface. He is a true craftsman, very detailed and thoughtful. Whenever I had a question, or concern it was addressed. We worked with Kate at the showroom too pick out our wood, cabinet style and tile. She is very pleasant to work with and had several helpful ideas.
It should be said that I am also very very organized and thorough. I had all my appliances ready to go the day our project started. I did a lot of research on tile design on my own and actually bought some of the accent pieces on my own because they were unique and we wanted them added in. Aplus was very accommodating there as well.
The quality of the work done for our kitchen is superior. The cabinetry is beautiful– the other two contractors insisted on replacing all our cabinets, but Aplus refaced the current ones, which are solid, and they look like new– for a fraction of the cost. The tile work was exceptional and all the electrical was done efficiently to perfection.

Bought my first condo a few months back but i wasn’t happy with the kitchen. I called got an estimate and they came the next day. They showed me a few layouts and wood samples that would best suit my home. Took about 2 weeks to finish but I’m very happy with the finished product. I would definitely be contacting you guys again.

I had this company do a master bath remodel and would NOT recommend them. First the job took almost 6 months! They would do part of the job, then disappear for a week or so. The designer/​estimator promised things (and put in the contract) that the project manager did not want to do. I caved on some items and had to force him to do others.
There were NUMEROUS problems along the way. Many of their workers tried to take shortcuts and I had to double check all of their work. The electrician installed the light in the wrong place, then we had to complain to get it moved. The granite installer actually installed the backsplash covering part of the electrical outlet and then ran out of my house while I was on the phone complaining about him. He even used white caulk on black granite! How absurd!
The project manager then defended the installer and I had to bring in a granite expert to inspect the work. I then had to threaten legal action to get it fixed to my liking. These are just a few of the many problems I had with this company. Good luck if you hire them

We actually first got a quote from a competitor, who was pushy and way overpriced. Then my husband found APlus Kitchen & Bath on Unilocal.When Joe (our sales rep) came through the door, he was friendly, professional, and didn’t pressure us at all. The estimate included everything from the cabinet reface to the countertop to the backsplash to the appliance and plumbing hook-​up. It was an all-​in-​one package, which was great. The competitor only quoted us for cabinets, which was close to the APlus estimate for the entire remodel.
What we liked about their cabinet reface was that we received brand new cabinet doors and drawers, and for the reface, they used ¼″ wood panels, as opposed to 1/​8″ panels. Their quality of wood was excellent. Plus, they make all of their doors in-​house, which is excellent.
Laura was our design specialist, and she was very helpful and patient with picking our colors and countertop and backsplash samples.
It took about 3 months before we started the actual demolition and remodel since they were busy making the cabinets, but we also needed time to order our new appliances and sinks.
Chad was our project manager, and he made sure to keep us in the loop with time frames and also came by to check on the progress of the remodel. The only problem we had was the timing of the countertops, but that was fixed right away. What was great was that Chad was able to accommodate our schedule, too. His workers were able to fix every little problem we encountered, whether it be replacing moldings or fixing a scratch on a door.
All in all, we’re so happy to have our kitchen and bathroom completed by APlus Kitchen & Bath.
